This is a gorgeous deck. I’m a big card stock snob, and I think the stock is perfectly fine. It’s pretty high quality–thin enough to shuffle nicely, but sturdy and bendy enough not to get broken. The colors of the deck are so wonderful for late fall/winter. I was initially wary of buying this deck because of the art style — I’ve seen SO many decks with simple artwork like this — but the content is very deep and interesting and not like anything I’ve seen before. I’m enjoying reading the book and broadening interpretations of the cards (for explanation, they tend to more of a numerological and elemental leaning, which I like, as well as a focus on nature and ecosystems).
The only issue I had with this was the construction of the box holding the deck — with the one I got, the cards had slipped out of their sleeve and one was damaged. I returned for a new set.

Fantastic, a new favorite. The card stock is great for a MM deck, matte and flexible. I love the imagery, with the folk art feel. The guidebook is where this deck really shines. You will find a much different perspective than what you’re used to in guidebooks. This is a winner all the way around.

This is a beautiful, complex deck. I love to pull a card and gaze upon it. I appreciate the thought and psychological dimensions behind its creation. My one problem – and it is a big one for me – is that they demoted the queens to princesses. There is no explanation that I can find of why such a psychological savvy deck would reduce the power of its mature feminine to a youthful girlishness. Princesses are delightful, but as a symbol they represent a different phase of life and authority than queens.

The artwork on these cards is wonderful… Russian authors, I wonder if there is a Russian version of this? I’d love to have one. This deck also has the greatest Devil card I’ve ever seen, and I own over 260 tarot decks. I won’t spoil the surprise… just get it! Instant classic, I imagine it will be in print a long time.
