I bought this to start making my own cold brew coffee, and it works really well! This is the first coffee grinder I have ever bought and it was very easy for me to use and get the result I wanted! It’s not super loud, grinds up whole coffee beans with ease and the removable chamber makes it easier to clean. I do wish the cord was a little bit longer but I’m very happy with this coffee grinder.

Durable and reliable! I just decided this morning that I may need to look into getting a new grinder and realized that I have had this since December of 2020! What a great grinder it has been. I use it Every. Single. Day. I use it for grinding up dry dog food. So there are times when I use it 3 times a day and other times just once a day. It has worked well for over 5.5 years. The inside cup is removable so you can get a good cleaning. I would highly recommend this grinder for the ease of cleaning, the durability and affordability.

We make coffee nearly every single day. Our first purchase of this grinder lasted about 3 years before the wiring broke at the base from bending during unwrapping. The second purchase? Less than a year, same issue, even though we were extra careful when unwrapping it this time. Despite that fact, I am about to purchase this product for a 3rd time.
The removable chamber makes it so much easier to not make a mess when pouring grounds into the filter, and makes clean up a breeze. I love that I could, in theory, use it for both coffee and spices with washes in between (I’ve never done it). The grind quality is pretty good (for drip coffee maker) and it works quickly, though is slightly loud. I like that the cord wraps up and is stored in the bottom, however a design improvement would be to move the hole that the wire comes out of slightly clockwise so that the cord is never bent backwards. (for my next one I will unscrew the extendable bottom and turn it myself, though the way it is designed you would have to complete an entire quarter turn so will only work if the cord is wrapped tightly enough. )
Note: We only make 6 cups of coffee per pot, so filling the chamber to the top works well for us, however, if we have guests over we do need to refill and grind a second time to make a full pot.

I’ve been using the Hamilton Beach Fresh Grind Electric Grinder for a few months now, and I love it! It’s compact but powerful — grinds coffee beans evenly in seconds. The stainless steel blades work great, and it’s surprisingly quiet compared to other grinders I’ve tried.
What I like:
⚡ Fast and consistent grind — perfect for drip, French press, or espresso.
🔇 Quiet operation — you can grind in the morning without waking anyone up.
🧼 Easy to clean — the grinding bowl and lid are removable and dishwasher safe.
☕ Versatile — also works for spices, seeds, and nuts.
💡 Compact design — takes up little counter space and stores easily.
Things to note:
No adjustable grind settings, but you can control texture by how long you hold the button.
Works best for small batches (1–2 cups of coffee).
Overall:
This is an excellent budget-friendly grinder for everyday use — reliable, simple, and efficient. Perfect for anyone who wants fresh-ground coffee without the noise or hassle!

Eh. It does the job, loudly. The cord storage is helpful & I like the removable cup. I wouldnt buy it again. It’s super loud compared to our old Bodum. And seems to need a lot of time to make the grind on the finer side. I use it at least everyday, sometimes twice a day.

Great electric grinder, the design is nice and it’s great to be able to hide the cord in the same bottom. Has been working great and takes just a few seconds to get the grind that I want
Steve –
I’ve used it for grinding dried herbs and it does a nice job. If you grind to a powder, just be aware that when you pull the lid, the dust tends to float out. not good when I did hot peppers lol. It’s not very loud but given how short you actually run it, even if it was it wouldn’t be a big deal. Pretty easy to clean.

Grinds the beans quickly and evenly. Quiet operation. The bottom cup is removable which makes cleaning easier than other grinders I’ve had. The base has a compartment to wrap the cord so it doesn’t lay all over the place. Price was right and it feels to be of decent quality. Recommended!

It grinds all the spices so well. At first, I thought I would’ve needed something bigger, but it definitely packs a powerful punch! It was so easy to use and so small and compact, it doesn’t take up much space. I used it for vanilla beans and I had no issues. It was definitely worth the price!

Liked the first one so much, that I bought another one.
I like the removable ‘bowl’, and the ‘hidden’ cord storage. And, the grinder works great, too.
[I tried the Black & Decker CBG110SC, to try something different (read: cheaper ;-). Yeah, no. Donated to a thrift store.]
I still have the original six y.o. H-B grinder. But, sometimes it seems ‘tired’. Younger model awaits its call to duty. 😉

Great grinder for the price. It is quiet. It does a great job at grinding. My only challenge with it is in order to grind for 12 cups, you have to fill it to the brim. You have to be careful removing the cup to dump the grinds for use to avoid spilling any. Slight more cup volume would be nice. But it works and works great.

Great price and user friendly. Seems like a great quality coffee grinder especially for the price. Not super loud and small enough to fit where ever you want to store it. Works great!

This unit really works great for grinding anything really small. Also I love how you can take the blade part out, in order to clean it thoroughly. And also I love that you can do chord control if you want to take the item with you on a road trip. I will definitely recommend this item to anyone who needs a very well made coffee grinder to use for their coffee.

I have had mine for years and it still works like a charm. Just bought one for a friend. Super easy to use and clean. Beans ground perfectly.

Buying a 2nd one.
I grind, coffee, cheese, herbs, S&P…
One of my kids dropped it so it broke, but other than that, mine worked great for over 5 years!
Grinds versatile, easy to clean, small and easy to store. Very efficient for home kitchens.
Keith –
Easy to use and store. I love my freshly ground coffee. It’s pretty basic but gets the job done for the price. It is loud, there is not an adjustment for grind size but it grinds my coffee beans. Just have to watch how long you are grinding, if you prefer a coarse grind versus a finer.
Keith –
Works nicely and smoothly, just a stand-by because it’s difficult to actually find coffee beans anymore, but this can give you fresh, flavorful coffee
Wes Marco –
Works great! I bought this one year ago when I was given as a gift coffee beans. Grinds well

Works great! I love the quietness of the grinder. The coffee bean holder looks small but it grinds a lot at once.

Small and takes up less space in my kitchen. Works well and fast! The volume of coffee beans is not a large amount which is perfect for me because I purchased this coffee grinder to refill my coffee pods.

This is a great coffee grinder. It’s easy to use and clean. It’s actually pretty quiet for a grinder. I think that those who complained about it’s noise haven’t had much experience with other grinders. Some are terribly loud. Highly recommended. I anticipate many years of use from it. Quality build.

Very happy with this grinder. The stainless steel is great. It is well made; easy to use. The grinding is even; can be controlled simply by holding the button down until it reaches desired fineness.

I’ve used this exclusively for spices, and the cup where the blades attach started cracking after only a few uses. The cracks didn’t grow for around a year (I only use it once or twice per month, on average) but now I’m pretty sure that one or two more uses and it will be so broken that I’ll have to toss it. There are many cracks in the sides now and a couple are full of spice dust. About 80% of what I’ve used it for has been cumin. The rest is a mix that includes black pepper and annato seeds. Cumin doesn’t seem that hard, but about half of the cracks appeared before I ground any of the hard spices.
It’s a great grinder in may ways, but the cup is just too fragile.

After three years of use, I’m finally writing a review.
This is a very simple coffee grinder. It spins at one speed setting, so if you want a course grind, then don’t grind longer than 15 seconds. The longer you grind, the finer it gets.
There are two removable parts: 1) the cap/cup (top), and 2) the cup/blade (bottom). This makes cleaning very easy.
Here’s how you use the grinder. 1) Plug in the electrical cord. 2) Fill the cup/blade with coffee beans. 3) Place the cap/cup onto the cup/blade. 4) Press the button for at least 15 seconds. 5) Unplug machine by gripping the plug. 6) Turn machine upside down so the coffee grinds fall into the cap/cup. 7) Remove the machine from the cap/cup. 8) Pour out grinds from cap/cup.
I go through these steps because of some of the reviews. Some people say that they make a mess when they remove the cup/blade. I understand why. The cup/blade has fill lines. This implies that the cup/blade is intended to be removed during operations to remove the finished grinds. But no, do not remove the cup/blade with grinds in the cup/blade. Turn the machine upside down so that the grinds fall into the cap/cup. This is because the cap/cup removes easily, and the cup/blade does not remove easily. You will make a mess struggling with the cup/blade while it is full of grinds.
Another review said the cord get damaged at the base when unplugging. This is an example of the need for detailed instructions. What is obvious to some is not always so. When you unplug, grip the plug and pull. Do not only hold the machine and yank the cord out of the electrical outlet. You will damage the connection between the cord and the machine.
This coffee grinder is very simple, with a good design, well built and reasonably priced. Qualities that you want in any tool.
