Perfect for earl grey/black tea lovers with a dash of milk. The taste is not that strong compared to other Harney teas but the aroma is addictive!

Wife here: Wow. This is so tasty. It is reminiscent of a London Fog drink. It would work very well if you wanted to make one. But it’s so flavorful you don’t need to. I’ve been getting the dessert teas fast are presweetened. They’re nice, but sometimes I just want something a little cleaner tasting and this has such a classic flavor that pleasantly complex. One tea bag brewed two cups of water perfectly. Also, the tea bags themselves had this amazing aroma that was super promising. It did not disappoint and I will buy it again.

The most perfect tea ever! I love London Fogs but sometimes making the full drink takes too much time. These tea bags make it so much easier! The sachets are so luxurious and it smells absolutely divine in the tin. It’s a perfect replication of a London Fog all in one little tea sachet. The lavender and vanilla are deliciously sweet and blend so well with the bergamot of the Earl Grey. It’s also a GREAT price for 30 sachets! These are always a go-to Christmas gift for me for good reason!

My only gripe is the new grey tin is flimsy and made out of a much thinner material. The green tin was gorgeous, sturdy, and of a great quality, perfect for refilling. When I got the grey tin and noticed the drop in quality, I immediately transferred those tea bags to the old tin. The tea tastes exactly the same, but I’ll miss the great tin!

I bought this for my office, and it’s a huge hit. Everyone loves the flavor and aroma.

The best London fog tea I have ever had! Delicious with some almond milk and creamer/sugar. The bergamot and lavender flavor was bold and fragrant with the perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess. The tin container was also great as it keeps the tea fresh for longer. You can literally smell the freshness and the richness of the tea from just opening the tin. Definitely worth the buy, and the price is decent!

I love this tea, it’s the perfect balance of black tea and bergamot. We use it to replicate Starbucks London Fog Tea Lattes and our at home lattes, I think, are even better. It has a nice rich flavour whether it’s a latte or simple cup of tea.

My only suggestion is to make the lid easier to lift off from the canister. It’s stuck on pretty good, perhaps this is just a one off so no stars deducted 🙂

    I will be ordering again.

We’ve added this to our Harney & Sons collection and it’s a treat. We enjoy making a London Fog tea paired with oat milk and feel that this is a really good quality tea. I notice the vanilla and lavender notes more than the citrus but the overall taste of it is excellent. As I’ve said with other Harney & Sons teas, I appreciate the elegant tin cans the come in so that you can have it displayed.

Product arrived on time and in great condition. There is no ‘London fog’ taste to this and makes very weak tea. For the price, very disappointed.

I do not comment on food or drinks that I do not like. Why? Because everyone tastes things differently. What I like or dislike may be someone else’s favorite. And, vise versa. Therefore, I don’t make comments about food and drinks that I dislike that might turn someone away from a product that they might enjoy.

But, for me, this tea stands out among teas as one of the best. First, it comes in an attractive airtight tin that preserves the aroma and the flavor of the tea. Secondly, the tea is inclosed in a cloth bag – (Some people find the taste of paper bags objectionable). Thirdly, this tea has a delightful aroma. And, most importantly (6), this tea is one of my morning favorites.

Here are a few tips that I learned from the British on how to make tea so that it’s full health and flavor benefits are at its peak. (1) Choose a high quality tea. (2) Use either cloth tea bags or loose leaf tea. (3) Use a ceramic cup that is free of stains. (Stains are not only unsightly they also harbor bacteria and will negatively affect the taste of tea). (4) Heat water to the temperature according to the type of tea you are using. (Black teas should be steeped in boiling water). (5) Never reboil the water. Reboiled water depletes the water of its oxygen and this will negatively affect the flavor of your tea. (6) Black teas should be steeped for a full five minutes in order to release all of the health benefits of the tea and will also bring out all of the rich flavors of your tea.

So, HOW you brew your tea is just as important as the quality of tea that you use.

There is one negative factor, however, that do wish would change. I would like to see this company put out an organic version of this product. Coffees and teas are among the most highly sprayed crops on the market. Therefore, no matter how much I like the flavor of this tea, I limit myself as to how much of it I drink in a week. Think about it: we are steeping insecticides directly into this beverage. Not good!

Nevertheless, I will still give this tea 5 STARS!

I do love this brand in other flavors. I really wanted to try this because of the vanilla and lavender. It’s the perfect blend and a great flavor. It does give London Fog as I sip my cup! It’s a visual experience for me as well as taste. I would definitely buy this again.

I’ve never had this flavor tea before and honestly it’s lovely, the bergamot is not overwhelming either, but honestly everything is quite subtle but the flavors come together to make a very interesting tea. Just wish it was a little stronger in flavor. Might have to double bag this one.

Lovely taste and a wonderful tea company.
    I love the bags !
Unfortunately, this was to be a Holiday Gift and the tin came quite dented. I must keep it for myself as it is a no-return item. I really do not like when Amazon sends these kinds of items in a mailer instead of a box. It was as it someone had stepped on the entire package denting the tin.

It is a great tea. It is tasty and aromatic. Normally I start my day with a cup of coffee but instead I have found myself reaching for this tea. Definitely recommended.

Drink with milk and sugar. It brings out the lavender and vanilla undertones. Not bitter at all and strong how I like it.

Delicious, makes a perfect london fog latte with a spoon full of honey and a splash of milk- much healthier than shots of flavor syrup you get in a london fog at a coffee stand.

This is my FAVORITE tea. It smells amazing, steeps wonderfully, and is a very easy crowd pleaser for those who enjoy tea and those who don’t alike.

After a good while of drinking this tea, my best advice would be one sachet per two cups of water, steep for five minutes. I’ve tried one sachet for three, but it ends up too weak. I like it with milk and honey, but it can easily be enjoyed without any additions. The tea tin is also gorgeous!

This tea is such a treat! The blend of black tea with lemon and grapefruit is perfectly balanced — bright, smooth, and refreshing without being too citrusy. It smells incredible and tastes even better, especially with a little honey. The tin is beautifully designed and looks lovely displayed in my kitchen. Harney & Sons always delivers great quality, and this one has become one of my favorites for both morning and afternoon tea time.

*** *T.L.D.R.* I usually drink Twinings Earl Grey every morning. But I wanted to try some other brand that I thought might be better. This was not bad but I still drink Twinings Earl Grey every morning and I prefer Twinings Earl Grey to this. I am 39 and have been drinking hot tea every morning since I was 8 years old. *On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest, I give this a 6/10. Twinings E.G. I give an 8.5/10 or 9/10. Nobody is a 10/10 so 9/10 is the highest rank I will give 99% of the time.***

I have been drinking hot tea in the morning, every morning since I was 12. I am now 38 about to be 39 in a couple of months. I have been drinking Earl Grey tea every morning for the past 9 years. I was first introduced to it by a gentleman who cooked for many many high class people including the Queen of England herself, Jackie Onassis Kennedy and the Kennedy’s, and many other well off families. This man was known as “The Omelet King”. His name was Rudolph Stanish and I thank him so much for introducing me to Earl Grey tea back in 2002. My usual goto Earl Grey is Twinnings. I love Twinnings Earl Grey because it has a nice balance of black tea to the citrus flavor of bergamot. I recently wanted to try other brands and purchased a few of what I thought were supposed to be the best of the best like Taylor’s of Harrogate and this Harney Earl Grey Imperial. I also purchased the Harneys Earl Grey Supreme and haven’t tried that one yet. But as far as this one, Earl Grey Imperial….. wweelllll…. I didn’t really care for it. It smelled lovely when I opened the tin. After I steeped it for 5 minutes I added my little bit of sugar, stirred, and added my usual blip of milk. I almost always drink my hot teas Johnny Bull style. I anxiously awaited for it too cool a little bit to drink it. Well I was disappointed to say the least. Idk how to describe it really, it just had a wierd funky taste to it. I am going to try it again and this time before I add the milk I will try a little bit of it and then add milk. I will update the review when I do so. I gave it 3 stars bc it did come in a nice tin and wasn’t damaged to hell and back.

***EDIT*** I tried this again and I know what I did wrong on the first time I tried it. If you read the tin it says 1 sachet to 2 cups. When I use twinnings earl Grey, my go to every day earl Grey that I love, I use 2 bags. I also use a 20 ounce thermal travel mug. So I tried 1 sachet and it was much better. Kind of makes no sense to me but that’s what I did.

This is an absolutely lovely tea. It has good flavor and delicious London Fog lattes can be made with it (I find 2 bags best). The aroma fresh and inviting. This is not an inexpensive brand but it is worth it. Not to mention it comes in a pretty tin that can be reused.

Soooo good! Worth the price tag. Smells and tastes amazing.

I wanted some high quality Earl Grey tea to make London Fogs because I love LF but hate EG on its own, so this was worth the splurge for me.

As soon as I took the tin out of the Amazon paper packaging, I could smell it.

Delicious, high quality tea for your average picky gal

I don’t often write reviews. But this tea was so incredibly delicious, that I had to jump on and give 5 stars. A+, 100/100 vanilla tea. What else can I say, it’s perfect. Worth every penny. Even the packaging is cool, with a nice tin and high end tea bags. Will definitely be buying this product for the rest of my life.

The tea is delicious BUT the tin arrived all beat up. There were dints on 3 sides. I like these containers and usually save them for other uses, but this one is not in good shape. I prefer receiving a tin that is not extremely dinted!

Harley and Sons teas are great! This Victorian London Fog is full bodied, richly favored. With a little whole milk and a splash of Torani Puremade Vanilla syrup, you can make a better version of London Fog tea than Starbucks.

I don’t normally drink black tea and initially purchased this for my mom. She got me to try it one day and I was hooked. This is now my weekend morning beverage with a small amount of honey and milk (though it’s even good with nothing added). There’s something settling and even peaceful about it. It smells pretty and tastes even better.
