This HealthWise 10.5% menthol pain relief spray looks similar to ones you would find at the drugstore. I’m a big fan of the spray applicator for such products, as it dispenses generously without mess, and you don’t have to get your hands sticky to rub it in. I used it on a knee that gets sensitive after exercise, and immediately felt a cooling sensation as the liquid absorbed. In all honesty, I don’t think this product is as strong as some of the other ones out there, but the cooling does help distract, and the menthol scent isn’t as overpowering. That said, if you have a deeper ache you may want to try a different pain relief spray which is more potent and lasts longer.

I use a similar menthol spray specifically for after workouts for muscle pain. I was using BioFreeze which works great, but wanted to try out this brand because it’s way cheaper. This is literally identical. Same bottle shape, same ingredients… even smells the same. I love this stuff for pain relief from the gym. It works great for that. If you’re looking for a good muscle pain spray, this is a great choice.

This was my first time venturing into the world of topical pain relief sprays.
After years of horrible joint and muscle pain brough on my an allergy I didn’t know I had for decades, I could only take so much ibuprofen a day.
From a purely functional standpoint, there is a lot to like about this spray:
Mess-Free Application: It is incredibly easy to apply and absorbs almost instantly.
Non-Greasy: Unlike many ointments, it doesn’t leave a sticky or oily residue on your skin or clothes.
It starts feeling cold as soon as you spray it on…
The brand claims to help with sprains, strains, and bruises. However, I found that the sensation didn’t translate into actual relief. While my skin felt the heat and the tingle, the deep, throbbing pain of my newly damaged wrist remained completely untouched. And the smell stayed around for hours…and hours…
Even after combining this with my usual amount of ibuprofen, the relief was negligible. It feels like it is “doing something” on the surface, but it didn’t penetrate deep enough to address intense pain.
3 stars for the shear disappointment it gave me.
It’s a convenient, high-quality spray that would likely be great for mild muscle aches, everyday soreness, or a light “cool down” after the gym. However, if you are dealing with a significant injury or intense pain, this may not be the powerhouse solution you need.
Perfect for the “everyday athlete” with minor aches, but keep your expectations in check if you’re dealing with a serious sprain.

This spray delivers exactly what I wanted for a topical analgesic. Fast, noticeable relief without the sticky or greasy residue. My son came back fron Tae Kwon Do complaining about pain in his calf after practice and it was put to use inmediarly.
It worked great to loosen up the sore muscle area and provide almost immediate relief from the cooling sensation. It proves effective for minor pain issues as the cool of the menthol evolves into a penetrating gentle warming effect that helps loosen up sore muscles.
I see this being especially effective for everyday minor aches, minor strains, and post-workout soreness.
The spray application is one of its biggest advantages. Being able to apply it hands-free keeps things clean and convenient, especially when treating hard to reach areas. The mist distributes evenly, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave behind any oily film
When applied to nynson aftern his shower, he was able to get dressed almost immediately without worrying about residue on clothing.
In terms of strength, the 10.5% menthol concentration really shows. The cooling effect is intense but controlled, and after 4 hours of application, it’s still providing meaningful.
Again, this not a pain killer but hreat for quick relief. Also should be good for easing discomfort in the evening when muscles feel tight or fatigued.
It’s very straightforward to use. If you hqve ever used any kind of spray this is simple. The atomizer is easy to use and allows control of how much product you apply.
When used as directed, I feels it’s safe and effective. Pro atip, a little goes a long way.
The size is practical. Compact enough for a gym bag or travel, yet large enough to last through regular use.
Overall, this menthol spray is an excellent alternative. It combines effective pain relief, clean application, and a non greasy formula into a simple product. I consider this spray to be a good option and would recommend.

I picked this up to help my husband manage long-standing knee discomfort from a past medical issue, and it has been a helpful addition to his pain-relief options. The menthol is definitely strong, so you notice the cooling effect almost immediately, followed by a gentle warming sensation that helps take the edge off soreness. The spray application is a big plus. It is hands-free, easy to target the area, and does not leave behind a greasy residue. That makes it convenient to use during the day without worrying about clothing or sticky skin afterward. Because of the high menthol content, I would be cautious using this on very sensitive delicate areas, but for joints and muscles it delivers exactly what it promises. Overall, it provides noticeable, fast-acting relief and compares well to more expensive menthol sprays we have tried.

OK let me first say that I really do not like the smell of wintergreen so using some of these products like this, gives me anxiety. Will I have wasted my money? Will it smell of wintergreen and I will have to throw it away. IF anyone else feels like this too….. The answer is NO!! Not Wintergreen. I usually get the roll-on style and that is easy to use on my lower back. This isn’t hard to use, but it isn’t easy to spray your own lower back while making sure you do not get this on your hands (because then you acccidentally touch your eye….you definitely don’t want that to happen). Anyway I figured out that using a rubber glove on the hand doing the spraying makes sure I am not spraying my own fingers, or I have my husband spray my back for me. As far as the actual product, it really works well!! I really like how this feels. My back pain is low level but uncomfortable at times but I don’t have the time to stop, so I use this. This stuff not only worked, but worked FAST and relieved the pain as well or better than others I have tried in the past. I think the value is great and I am already buying another one to carry in my bag for work.

I’ve used Icy Hot-type products a few times. I expected this to be about the same. And it is. I have occasional knee pain. Rest helps, but I work a physical job and don’t always have time to rest. This sprays on very cold, as expected. I don’t usually get the sensation of heat. I feel like I’m supposed to, but I haven’t with any product. But I do get a little immediate relief, then a dulling of the pain sensation over a short time, maybe 5 minutes. I can spray it on and not have to think about it. I’m not sure how long it lasts. I sprayed it on my knee in the evening after a long day with an irritated knee, and I didn’t have any issues with it the rest of the night. I used it a couple more times, and it really does take the pain away. I don’t know how this would deal with stronger pain, but with the irritation I get, it’s great. And for the price, it’s a great value.

this menthol pain relief spray is such a handy little solution for sore muscles. the cold-hot sensation kicks in almost immediately, which makes achy areas feel lighter and more relaxed.. it’s perfect after workouts, long days on your feet, or random muscle tension.
i love that the formula is non-greasy, so it doesn’t leave your skin sticky or slippery, and it penetrates quickly without needing a lot of rubbing. the 3 oz size is compact enough to toss in a gym bag or keep at your desk for on-the-go relief.
overall, this spray is effective, easy to use, and really delivers fast comfort.. a must-have for anyone who deals with everyday muscle aches or tension.

A quick and easy way for pain relief. This menthol spray gives you an intense cooling sensation on your skin. The cooling effect kicked in quickly and lasted around 20-30 minutes. It’s also effective for bug bites for a temporary relief. The cooling sensation is on your skin so may not mask deeper muscle pains but it’s pretty effective at masking the pain. You can use it like the menthol patches but I think the spray is particularly more useful for body parts that the patch is not able to stick well on.

I ordered this because I needed a simple way to manage those annoying muscle aches and joint pains throughout the day. It’s very cooling the second it hits the skin, and it does work fast to provide a nice, icy sensation that helps soothe the area. It dries pretty quick too. It’s similar to some of the other products that I’ve tried that offer the same type of benefits.
While the spray format is designed to be hands-free, I found that I still need to rub it in to make sure it’s fully absorbed and targeting the right spot, so it’s not completely hands-free. However, the non-greasy formula is a plus because it doesn’t leave any sticky residue behind once it’s worked into the skin. It’s a straightforward product for those minor backaches or strains.
It’s a reliable choice to keep in the cabinet for those times when you need relief.
