I love these hemp treats. And so does my dog. Here’s the reason. My dog Mikey was paralyzed a year ago. He jumped the fence to get the bear. A nine foot fence. The next day I woke up to have m unable to walk. The Drs. Said he had a spinal stroke. They didn’t know if you’d ever walked again. He was not quite 6 years old we saw three doctors and they all told me I should think about putting him down. I refused and after 6 months of holding him and working his paralyzed legs and being patient with him. I found these hemp treats. And I had been giving him plain glucosamine that I switched up to these streets. Last December he started walking again and he’s done nothing but improve. We are so lucky. I really feel these hemp treats because of the hemp. Helped his muscles in his body relax at night so he could get restorative sleep and help him heal. Now he’s walking up and down the stairs and he’s improving every day. I know this is a long review to read. But these things really work I’ve tried a lot of stuff for my dogs and over the years. But I give him these about 6:00 7:00 at night and he has a really good sleep and he wakes up energetic and I really feel they’re helping him heal. He’s a young dog but my 10 year old dog takes them too. My dogs are very happy and they feel very rested in the morning and energetic. If you have an old dog that’s having a hard time walking you really need to try these. Don’t give them to him in the morning. Give them to him around 7:00 at night so they could have a restorative sleep. Just like us.

the dogs seem to like them but they smell terrible and I’m just not sure about the quality of these – will not buy again

Seems to be effective & my dogs like the taste- act like it’s a treat. My senior chihuahua seems to have more energy and pep in her step a bit less grouchy. My other medium size senior has knee problems and these seem to be helping, less stiff getting in and out of his bed. They haven’t had any adverse reactions, no diarrhea or stomach issues. Will buy again.

We have a dog that has terrible separation anxiety and is very sensitive to noise. The fourth of July is a struggle. These chews have been an absolute miracle. We gave her a couple of the calming chews this year on the fourth and she stayed perfectly calm through fireworks. We also give them to her if she’s going to be home alone.

This product has done wonders for my sweet girls joint pain. She’s more active and has responded well to taking it. The smells is not the best but she doesn’t seem to mind. Did seem to make her pee have a strong smell but otherwise very good product.

Just started my two senior dogs on it and they love it. I’ve noticed improvement in their movement pretty much on the first day of taking the chews. Other reviews talk about the smell of the chews I honestly don’t think it’s that bad at all as long as my dogs are willing to eat it then it works. The cap is somewhat loose so make sure to grab the container from the side and not the top.

There are directions labeled of how many chews you are supposed to give your dog per day. For my two senior dogs it’s 2 chews per day. I’ve been giving them 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening to make sure that they’re both covered, relaxed, and comfortable.

Once I run out of chews I’m probably gonna purchase again for these guys to be comfortable and relaxed.

I ordered these with some scepticism, and boy was I wrong! My dog is 102lbs and 4 of these help calm him down with no adverse affects. They last for 3-4 hours and it’s a stepped calm, not an instant crash. I crumble them in his food, which makes it easy for him to take.

I hope the taste is better than the smell, because they are a little rank when you smell them! lol

We got the 12oz jar which is 170 chews and just the right size, considering he doesn’t need them daily!

If you’re looking for a quality product, I highly recommend them!

2 stars because it does not work just if you need it for one day.
3 stars for value and count. I have 4 dogs and I’ve given them 1 more than recommended for a few days now and I’m not seeing anything different. I think I have some crazy dogs 🥴

This product was advertised as beef liver flavored, but the ingredient list clearly includes chicken flavor. My dog is allergic to chicken, and after giving him this product he started itching. This is extremely misleading and potentially harmful for dogs with poultry allergies. Accurate labeling matters. I would not recommend this for dogs with sensitivities.

Works well for my 70lbs Staffordshire Terrior. It calms him down without knocking him out. This is my second order.

This review is coming from the owner of two 100+ lb littermate Rottweilers, so we are definitely familiar with high-octane dog energy. If your pups cycle between deep sleep and sudden, cracked-out zoomies, these chews might be your new best friend.

We use these chews for two main scenarios:

    1. Daily Over-Excitement / Sibling Rivalry

Sometimes the play wrestling gets a little too worked up, or they start chasing each other around the house like possessed horses. Giving them a chew provides a reliable, gentle transition to quiet time without making them drowsy or lethargic.

    2. Storm and Firework Anxiety (Acute Stress)

This is where they really shine. Both dogs get anxious and panicked during loud summer thunderstorms or holiday fireworks. We administer the chews preemptively when we know a storm is approaching.

Speed: They are fast-acting. We notice the effects—a visible reduction in pacing, panting, and shaking—within about 45 minutes to one hour. This is faster than several other brands we’ve tried.

Taste: My dogs are ridiculously picky, but they love these. They gobble them down immediately, which is a massive relief when trying to calm an anxious dog. No need to hide them in cheese or peanut butter.

Quality: The chews are soft and pliable, not hard and crumbly like some supplements. They have a strong herbal scent, but it doesn’t seem to deter the dogs at all.

If you need a reliable way to help your big dogs come down from doing “crackhead dog things,” or if you need an emergency calming aid for noise-related anxiety, these are fantastic. Highly recommend them for large, hyperactive, or noise-sensitive breeds.

PRO: I’ll say straight away that these do actually work on my 4 month old puppy. 1) He’s calmer overall after taking them and licks my hand instead of gnawing on it, which I appreciate. It seems like his brain is quieter, and without all of the puppy neural insanity going on, he can actually comply with my requests without other impulses overriding them. 2) Whatsmore, he loves them A LOT, which is slightly problematic since I can only give him a limited amount per day. These are definitely a “high value” treat to him. I often give them before crate time and when he sees me opening the jar he RUNS full speed into the crate and waits. Total addict. It’s a little scary.

CON: 1) They stink. Hand washing afterwards is required. 2) It’s not just “calming” that’s achieved–my pup also seems a little disoriented and lacks full coordination on these. For example, they make him thirsty and when he tries to approach his water bowl, both of his front paws end up IN the bowl while he drinks (this only happens while under the influence of these treats). They also make him prone to confusion, like not recognizing objects he’s otherwise very familiar with.

Yes, I’m giving him the recommended number of treats. Don’t even.

This is a dual product listing, I purchased both.

We’ve used the Hip & Joint supplement for about 2 weeks, 3 dogs between 7lbs and 25lbs, 9-12yrs in age. Of our 2 dogs with chronic movement issues, there’s been an improvement for both. The terrier in the middle of the weight and age range, with no extreme chronic issues, has had a couple of bursts of hurtling puppy this week and is just moving better.
I’m astonished to see any improvement at all in this short of a time!

We’ve switched out and used the calming when we know we’ll be going out etc. It’s hard to know how effective that is without talking to them, however they seem to calm down more quickly when we come home.
The smallest dog has chronic gastro issues and his stomach is easily upset. This needs to be fragmented and mixed with his food as we discovered it did upset his stomach. He gets a half dose currently 2x a day since he is under 10lbs – mixed with his meals he has had zero issues. The other two dogs view these as tasty treats, super easy to get them theirs! These crumble easily if needed as we do for the little guy, the consistency is like a soft treat but doesn’t crumble without some pressure so easy to feed treat style as well. I have no concerns about the product staying in good shape. Which is great, because the quantity!! Loving not having to buy so often due to multiple dogs 😀
I saw a lot of mentions about awful smell and honestly I don’t get it. My dogs certainly think they’re just fine lol. I’ve run across human supplements that smelled worse than these, and that includes both products! I’m not wild about valerian, and the calming ones don’t smell any more strongly to me even with multiple herbal ingredients. Pretty sure my high dollar dogfood smells more strongly/worse.
The Hip & Joint version has already been moved to autoship for us, awesome to see the herd feeling better:)

My puppy loves these. She gobbles them up & usually leaves her other treats on the floor. Picky brat! 😆 She does seem to calm down shortly after I give her one, so they seem to be effective.
Personally, I think they’re stinky & I uncontrollably say, “Phew!” every time I open the jar, but she loves them, and that’s what counts. 😉

We keep these on hand for our German Shepherd. She suffers from anxiety from many triggers, itching, scratching, chewing, whining, panicking… if your dog suffers with anxiety you know the drill. It’s extremely hard on the dog and just as hard on us to see them suffer. We give her two chews before bed which is her most anxious time of day, along with 5mg melatonin. Within 5-10mins she is settled down for the night – MOST nights. We have found that we have to take a break from them every so often as they seem to stop working briefly. But after a short break they work beautifully again. Buy them and best of luck!

This is my 3rd time ordering these for my dog. I can say they do help. I have a mastiff (X-Large dog) & it requires a hand full of these to take effect. I use the weight chart to measure how many to give .

Overall, these shoes are very good. They do help my dogs calm down and decompress at night. They are priced a little pricey, but that’s OK. They don’t seem to mind the taste of them either.

It’s not just this brand, I don’t find any hip and joint supplement that works, whether directly from the vet or from a reseller. My dog is active, she is a self-hunter and explorer and will run for 35 miles alongside my wheeler. She doesn’t like the taste of this (or any other joint supplement), and I don’t think they work at all. I give her Birch pet CBD, about 1/4 eyedropper in each meal (twice/day) and she doesn’t limp or complain. She is self-motivated and I can only force her to slowdown. With the CBD she does whatever she wants and doesn’t show problems.

These chews are the worst smelling thing possible. It smells like terrible feces. Neither of my dogs will even go near it. Even when just opening the jar , it instantly fills the room with the putrid smell of feces. I would not recommend it

After a couple treats didnt seem to work. Than our dog busted into them and ate like 150 of them in one sitting. They were still hyper and not ready to sleep etc… That many treats youd expect dogs zonked out like crazy. I would say these do not work.

Well my Shih Tsu has been taking these calming chews for at least a year seem to help him calm down but little did I know when he went for a check up his liver enzymes were bad come to find out hemp causes a rise in liver enzymes now my fur baby is on a medication from vet to try to reduce these bad enzymes he did much research and discovered Hemp was the culprit . So beware things may seem fine as it did with my fur baby but now I’m facing vet bills and more important without knowing I hurt my dogs health.

Not effective at all, and as others have said they smell awful. My dog will eat anything (even poo) but thinks these smell awful. Would only ingest if covered in beef liver treat dust, and they did absolutely nothing. Im calling BS.

Website ingredients list contains zero chicken in product. I checked before buying. After having this my dog had an allergic reaction requiring an antihistamine to ease the itching. Looked at listed ingredients on the package and it includes chicken!?! Never would have noticed except my dog is allergic to chicken and had a bad reaction. Disappointed to say the least. If your dog is allergic to chicken do not give them this product.

If you knew my dog, you would already know I love these for him. They work within 15 or 20 minutes, so I give him one or two before the storm or fireworks start. I think he knows that he needs it. He is a picky eater, but will eat this without hesitation. I’m on my fourth container, and all is well during storms and holidiys.
