If you have read all the questions and answers for the Hormel Compleats Chicken Alfredo, you have probably already read this whole review already.

UPDATE Oct 21, 2020 I have just seen the price of this product change back to the original price and will be available with Amazon as the seller and the shipper as of Nov 7, 2020. This update pretty much cancels the previous update.
UPDATE Oct 11, 2020 The price for this six-pack of Hormel’s chicken alfredo has just increased by almost ten dollars from $11.88 to $21.79 and up. That is nearly DOUBLE the old price. I stand by my rating but highly recommend not buying the product due to price gouging by Amazon’s “other sellers”.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Does this taste like chicken alfredo made fresh by a gourmet chef? Absolutely not. Does it taste good enough for most people to enjoy? Absolutely. You have to keep in mind that canned chicken does not have the taste or texture of fresh chicken and that canned pasta cannot be substituted for pasta freshly boiled to the preferred al dente or to any other preferred doneness. Taking that into account, I think it is very tasty. The dozen or so packages I have eaten were tasty with enough chicken to make it a good meal. I highly recommend stirring it after heating, the sauce will have a nicer consistency.

For me, the actual taste of the sauce is maybe a bit bland, but still cheesy and pleasant enough, and a decent texture after it is stirred. The chicken is breast meat (which, to me, is almost tasteless even when it is fresh chicken), with no unpleasant added taste and a texture that I think is actually pretty good for chicken in a packaged pre-cooked meal. And the pasta is okay considering that it has been soaking in sauce for up to a couple of years while sitting in your cupboard. I enjoy it, and it is awesome when you have only two minutes to prep and cook a hot meal.

I don’t know exactly what they did with this Chicken Alfredo, but it is MUCH better than the last time I ordered it in 2018. Back then, it was watery, soooo bland (even after I added a sprinkling of freshly ground pepper), and the chicken was hard to find.

THIS version has a lot of chicken chunks, a creamy thick alfredo sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta. I added my usual sprinkling of freshly ground black pepper, and it was wonderful! The perfect portion size when combined with a small side salad (romaine, tomato, cucumber, olives, peppers with balsamic vinaigrette).

I normally prefer to prepare my meals “from scratch,” but there are days when I’m low energy or pressed for time, and I’m always on the lookout for quick microwaveable meals that aren’t too loaded with salt or other additives. OK, this has a significant amount of salt (990 mg), but I can plan the rest of my day around that, paying close attention to limiting my salt intake for the rest of the day. It has a healthy portion of protein, so that helps.

I’m considering putting this on Subscribe & Save — it’s really that good!

Simple and fast meal if you’re in a hurry. Personally for me it’s a little dry but other than that it tastes good. The size of the meal is perfect , so you don’t have to waste food. My kids really enjoy eating them too and they are picky eating so I’m very happy with it.

When you’re hungry for spaghetti but don’t want the mess, these are an awesome way to quench that craving! These look small but they fill you up! The taste is good and it only takes 1 minute for them to cook in the microwave. You can also dump in a pan and heat on the stove. They always come with a far reach expiry date, which I like. The container is very sturdy and easy to use. I feel this is good value for my money because it comes in a throw away container so all you have to wash is your utensil! It tastes and smells almost as good as homemade! Just put a side salad, bread and butter, a veggie or fruit with it and you are good to go! They are also portable so you can travel with them or take to work! I recommend these for lazy day cooking or craving cooking! Go ahead and try them! You will be glad you did!

Such a surprise when tasting this compleats meal for the first time. It’s much better than any canned spaghetti version I have ever tasted. Until now everyone of them had a more ore less dominant sweet flavor. Not these spaghetti!. They are actually quite close to the real thing imo. With a slight sour tang and some added parmesan cheese I really enjoyed this meal.
