   My Beloved Pointy Headed Spouse and I love to travel whenever we are physically and financially able to. As we are also Certified Old People we typically prepare a variety of snacks to keep the munchies at bay while traveling by car or plane. We also like to pack some beverages to wash down these snacks. Alas, the TSA forbids us from bringing any liquids (beyond 3 ounces) into the airport and frankly, it’s rather difficult to quench one’s thirst on only three ounces of fluid. This puts us at the mercy of the airport vendors who have no soul and think nothing of charging $5 or more for a measly bottle of water. I ordered this travel “soft flask” so that upon arriving at the airport and getting through the TSA checkpoint, we could fill it up with water at one of those “hydration stations.” When drafting this review, I pulled up the listing for the bottle I ordered. Much to my surprise, the soft flask that I ordered looks NOTHING LIKE WHAT IS SHOWN IN THE LISTING and cost only $9.99. I can understand why the manufacturer decided to sell a different version however. While this soft flask holds 500 ml of liquid just fine, the only way to drink from the flask is to either remove the silicon “nipple” from the flask altogether or bite down vigorously on the nipple to get the water to flow. (The soft flask comes with no instructions whatsoever. I discovered the biting technique only after getting frustrated with the darn thing while gnashing my teeth.) I’m not crazy about biting on the flask to get water to flow because it seems that with a few bite marks on the silicon it might begin to harbor bacteria and other whatchahoosits. Another problem is that the flask does not stay upright even when fully filled. This makes it a bit difficult to set the flask down on the tray table while indulging in my peanuts or pretzels. On the positive side, this soft flask is very lightweight and it folds up for easy storage when empty.

   I’ve traveled with several different portable water bottle options, and this 250ml soft flask has completely won me over. It’s well made—zero bottle taste, even after 48 hours. The water still tastes just as fresh as when I filled it from the tap.

   The bite-and-squeeze valve works beautifully. No need to tilt the bottle or use a straw—the vacuum holds strong with no leaks, and the flow feels natural and easy. It’s perfect for walks, runs and biking. Personally I use it for errands, everyday outings, and travel. I always like to have water with me and this works perfectly.

   It’s compact (about 8 oz), flexible, and conforms to whatever is in my bag, so I no longer carry bulky bottles or reuse noisy plastic ones. It fits beautifully into my small crossbody and adds very little weight, plus the water in it.

   It is a no-fuss, taste-free, eco-friendly way to stay hydrated on the go, this soft flask works well for me.

   Note:
   1) This flask is amazing: sleek, sturdy, and does its job well. But I want to mention that one thing, the bottle has a somewhat plastic cap attachment, which could be a weak point down the line. Still, I gave it five stars because it’s a solid product overall and a great value.
   2) When i don’t have hands free it is so easy to slip it into my waistband and it stays for me.
   3) FYI: it doesn’t stand unsupported.

   This water bottle is a soft, flexible, bladder-style bottle. It is easy to collapse down when not in use, or it can be squeezed into a pocket or pack. There are some features I like, but others I don’t.

   Pros: It is larger than some others I’ve used – it holds about half a liter when full. It has a bite-release spout, so it is unlikely to leak when drinking from it. The cap is integrated so it will not fall off or get lost. So far the soft TPU material has been durable and held up to a 25K run without leaking or bursting. At around $10 it is comparably priced to others on the market.

   Cons: After thoroughly washing and using it twice, it still gives my water a strong chemical flavor, which is concerning. The bite mouthpiece requires a lot of pressure to open. It took a month for it to arrive from China.

   In general, it is OK but would be better if I could get rid of the strong chemical flavor it produces.

   Texas Flounder – January 21, 2026

   I picked this bottle out for hiking here in Utah and this is my first time trying a soft, collapsible style like this. The material feels flexible and lightweight, but the “skin” doesn’t seem super thick, so I’ll definitely be careful not to fall on it or scrape it against sharp rock. F

   The drinking spout is kind of fancy. You sort of press it gently with your lips and the water flows out, which feels more controlled and less messy than a basic pull-top. Once it’s empty, the best part is how small it gets. It folds down into almost nothing, which is going to be great for saving space in my pack after I’ve finished the water. For a first soft flask, I’m pretty happy with how compact and easy to stash it is.

   Let me say this upfront, I wasn’t looking to replace my metal vacuum water bottles, butthis little soft flask was exactly what I was looking for. I’m sure you could be creative and come up with 1 million uses for what to put in it, but I will explain why it appealed to me. In my travel trailer, I have a day hiking bag. I will often leave camp in my truck to go fishing in a slightly more remote area. I am never particularly far from the truck in that scenario and It’s nice to just take a little bit of water with me. This soft collapsible bottle is perfect. It’s just enough for a quick couple drinks of water to hold me over till I get back to the truck where I have a lot more water stored. I like that it can live collapsed in the small pocket on my prepared backpack for fishing afternoons. It may be a little thing, but I feel like it gives me a great amount of convenience. That said… It wouldn’t surprise me if someone else found another use for it, putting perhaps another type of beverage in it… 😉
