I have bought just about every quality food you can think of for my dog. He has liked none of them and if he really doesn’t like them, he throws them up. I recently switched to this brand for my cats after reading up on it because it seemed like a quality Food that I can afford. I bought this and Diggy really digs it. I brought home four cans of food to test only items. Got a PAWS UP. It also agreed with his belly. He is almost 12, so we can have issues at times. One of the samples I brought home was a very well-known brand made specifically for sensitive bellies. He wasn’t thrilled about it and then he proceeded to get sick all over the house with it. PS he also likes this one in the green can.
For the last two years of mainly been cooking chicken for him to meals, including probiotics. I am so thrilled with this food and no longer smelling or cooking chicken. it smells good even to me and looking at it. You can tell it’s good stuff.

My service dog I highly love he is 15 years old and I only feed him James food I have seen great results from years of protecting his body. Oh my friend is a doodle. From the shelter.i fully trust James to deliver a purr product.and jack is. How resting.

My 5lb Yorkie senior LOVES this. He no longer sniffs first to check if what I’m feeding him is palatable but he digs right in. He is missing a couple of front teeth so I started giving him canned dog food a couple of months ago. He basically turned his nose up at everything until I tried Iams. He dances around every morning and evening when I start preparing his food. And I even started our other dog on the dry version. She loves it. Great product, great taste (apparently) and Harold approved! This is what I will continue to feed my dog.

My dog eats this

We switch up food often and this one we use. Both picky eaters love it!

We love the Iams brand and this did not disappoint. We love the value, size of the can and how much our dogs love to eat!
Traci M –
EDIT: Bryan has now passed his 14th bd months ago and is still enjoying his Iams. He doesn’t see or hear well, but his nose still finds his Iams. I think this is what has helped him keep going.

OK, so my almost 13 yr old CoJack (Corgi/Jack Russell) has been on Science Diet Chicken and Barley for dogs 7 plus canned for years now.
All of a sudden, it’s gotten super hard to find and I thought now what? He does better on chicken, I didn’t want to upset his digestive system and what if he didn’t like the new food? PLUS I had to make sure for older dogs.
MY experience:
PROS –
FIRST thing I noticed, cool, I don’t need to use a can opener.
SECOND thing…SMELL! Smells so much better than Science Diet. Which can be hard to take first thing in the morning.
THIRD about the same price for same amount.
FOURTH my dog LOVES it and he does better on a more pate kind, one without lots of gravy and stuff.
This food has a better TEXTURE than Science Diet, but still the kind of pate, no gravy.
and one of the most important FIFTH DIGESTIBILITY since I was changing over from another food. He’s doing FINE on it. His tummy is good with this one.
NO CONS SO FAR AND BOTTOMLINE:
IF you also had your elderly dog on that chicken Science Diet and are looking for a replacement, I would say give this a try! Is working well for my old man dog.

What is there to review. Exactly as i was purchasing before from PetSmart but cheaper and more convenient. Yes I get an occasional dented can due to the shipping but I just use that one first. It is not an issue. My older pet 8.5 lb 151/2 years old can’t eat dry food and this one his system handles fine. Poops and we all know they are important if you have a dog are now regular and his allergies have subsided.

I have a picky German Shepherd and she LOVES this food especially when she’s nauseated, upset stomach. It’s Great

This is a reasonably priced, decent quality food for my elderly mini mutt, who is missing a lot of teeth. She seems to enjoy it and it’s easy for her to chew.

My dogs love this stuff. It seems to be in stock all the time. Unlike the petfood stores.
ooooooooooooooo –
My dogs favorite food

My 14 year old chihuahua has been having digestive problems for the last few months- frequent soft stools, and everything I tried at home (white rice, canned pumpkin) would only help a little. I changed over to this canned Iam’s food and within the first day I have seen improvement. We are now on day 3 and he is back to having his one firm bowel movement every day. I am very pleased and I hope it keeps agreeing with his stomach.

I’m not a dog, but my dogs like it, so I assume it must be good if they like. Absolutely amazing
NICOLE FULLER –
My dogs seems to eat it, but I hate the fact of some chunky pieces found on each bag I purchased.
Allison M. Smith –
My very picky 15 year old Italian Greyhound (who has been underweight since the passing of her best dog) friend ate this like I haven’t seen with her before. She has very few teeth left but does not like pate.
I put this in her bowl, expecting the usual indifference, but she cleaned her bowl and went back to clean it more, hoping there would be some morsels left.
I highly recommend this for people looking for food for senior dogs with low food drive and especially those with dental problems.
