Whether used for incense or as a trinket dish, this acacia wood bowl with copper colored lid is quite attractive. The wood is very smooth. The lid on mine has an area where the cut outs are not properly done which is the reason this is getting 4 stars from me instead of 5. That imperfection is really only noticeable when looking at the bottom side of the lid and it is the only flaw in this piece. Included are a small brass incense holder and a silver-backed felt pad to protect the wood if burning incense. I think regardless of type of incense burned, it would probably be a good idea to add a layer of sand or ash for added protection.

This wooden bowl burner is gorgeous—it gives such an earthy, grounded feel to any space. But let me be clear: this is not for placing cones directly onto the wood. Always use the included inner cone holder! When used correctly, it works like a charm and looks amazing. It’s more of a decorative vessel with function, and I appreciate the subtle way it holds everything in place. Truly a statement piece.

The bottom has velvet, body is smooth wood, lid allows aroma smoke to rise. We added two Tablespoons of white sand to nestle a cone on.
