First, I’m not an eyeshadow user. The only makeup I use at the age of 63 is eyeliner (mostly pencil, occasionally liquid) and dark red lipstick (preferably the long-last kind). I’m not sure why, because I’ve been retired for 4.5 years and only go out for doctor appointments, but… I don’t like walking into my bathroom, looking into my mirror, and thinking “aaaaak!” I confess this makes me strange. But this is why I wear makeup at home.
Most of my makeup routine is skincare. I need dark red lipstick to bring color to my face, and I need eyeliner to bring out my eyes. I don’t wear mascara because it’s a big fat waste of time & money for me. My lashes are short, sparse, thin, and worst of all, fine. Mascara doesn’t even cling to my eyelashes. Who ever heard of that? And I’m a minimalist, but blush, bronzer, concealer, foundation… more aaaak! I’m too lazy to do all that.
Anyway, Kaely eyeliner. I love the aesthetics of the containers. So cute! I love the eyeliner crayon. It takes no time at all to get a smoky eye. I just use a cotton swab and micellar water to wipe the residue clean. I love this product because, although it smears on my upper lid (I have hooded eyelids), the smears look intentional. This product is highly water-resistant. It does tend to smudge, but when I go out I carry a small pack of micellar water cotton swabs in my handbag.
My skin is tan and my hair is (still) black, and the gray liner is amazing on me. The black is a bit more dramatic, so I use a lighter hand with it. (I’ve graduated from using just the gray to using the black and the gray together. Great results.) But really, this may be the easiest eye makeup for me out there, and it’s inexpensive! Removal of makeup at night is easy: I rub Ponds cold cream over lips, eyes, and face, take a warm damp washcloth, rest it on my face, and then rub the cream off. My skin is soft and ready for serum, moisturizer, and eye cream.
I think I only docked the one star because of the smudgeability of this product, but I really rate it a 4.5. If you’re into the smoky, minimalist eye or easy products, you owe it to yourself to try this. I think you’ll be surprisingly pleased. Thank you.
**Update 3/4/25: Also an *excellent*, easy-to-use eyebrow pencil.
**Update 3/27/25: To maintain control of the product when the point blunts: use an eyeliner brush to brush the tip and then apply accordingly. This will help maintain the tip and will also allow you to use the product when it reaches the base so you don’t have to waste any of the crayon. I’m fickle when it comes to makeup, but I can’t see myself deviating from this routine for the unforeseeable future. I’m in love with these cream eyeliners.

The product promises 24hour wear,
Day 1 I put it on my eyelid it looks amazing for 20 minutes the started to melt and migrate to different places on my face. Later in the day my eyes began to burn while I was at work, I when to the bathroom and washed off my makeup .
Day2 I decided to put it in my water line my eyes immediately started to burn!!!
Thought maybe it was somthing that was going to last for a few seconds but it got worse I almost couldn’t open my eyes.
I started removing the makeup in my waterline and to my surprise as I wipe it out of my waterline more of this eyeliner pools into the waterline!!! I feel it’s also important to tell you that my allergies (sniffles and sneezing were actining up while using this product) After a solid 15 minutes of whipping and dabbing and blowing my nose. i take a look at the ingredients.

Very pigmented. I use the white for my inner eye corners and the black to fill out my eyeliner. However, the black eyeliner does not stay and smudges even if i don’t touch my eyes.
Worth the money though I still love this product! It glides on so smoothly

Not waterproof or smudge proof transfers very easily. The depth of color is very nice though. I won’t purchase again.
Elizabeth Conner –
This eyeliner goes on with the utmost precision. No need to apply force or heavy-handedness. Applying lightly is sufficient. It glides smoothly. In addition, it does not irritate my eyes. The color quality is excellent!!
Licayan –
Coming back to review this months later, and change the stars from 4 to 2. While the eyeline glides on seamlessly, it smudges way too easily. Within minutes of applying, the eyeliner smudges and smears all over my eyes. I try this again after a month or so to see if it works any better or if I was just having an off day, but it’s not good. Honestly, I’m either going to just toss this or give it to my son to use for crafts!
Tracey Sharp –
Really easy to apply, but without a setting already it wears off too easily

All Things Awesome –
Application is easy . Stays on .. Doesn’t smear, great quality no irritation or dryness
La Chat Cerise –
Glides on with ease. Smooth and effortless! Functions like a gel and kohl. Blends nicely too. This is a keeper!
Worley –
They sent me the wrong colors-fine.
But this definitely stayed on all day-even through my make up remover.
But this is not for definition, only for a smudge look.

I was trying this for the first time and was skeptical. However I really like this product. The 2 colors brown and black are very nice. They go on well and last. The brown during the day is subtle, and the black for evening is bold and sexy. Great buy!!
Licayan –
Doesn’t work the way it’s advertised. It goes on very smoothly but smears easily and makes my eyes burn. Very disappointing!
Brenna G –
Does not stay on the they claim it does it is not waterproof it does easily wash off with only water and a slight rub. I ordered the silver and black combination. The black cane broken so very hard to use. And I don’t know what they think you’re supposed to do once the pencil has worn down past the point, and you just have this fat stubby wad of black stuff.I’m not happy..
Elizabeth Conner –
These are so easy to use to get the look you want. Only problem is you have to use eyelid primer or it just smears and bleeds as the day goes on. Even with primer by mid-day it’s smeared on my eyelid and I have to wipe it off

Easy to use by itself or with a brush. It’s waterproof and long wearing. Due to arthritis I find this liner much easier to use.
La Chat Cerise –
Okay.So I have to start this with telling you that I am extremely finicky about eyeliner. I have very sensitive skin around my eyes and most eyeliners burn cause my eyes to itch or water or in worst case scenarios my eyelashes to fall out. This eyeliner does not do any of that. It glides on smooth, stays right where I put it, does not settle into the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes, does not cause any itching burning or watering of my eyes, am the best part?Is that it is waterproof and when they say it stays?Oh, believe me.It stays until I wash it off with makeup remover. I don’t think I’ll ever use any other brand ever again. I don’t know where this stuff has been all my life. But I am so glad to have it now. Thank you so much.!

The Kaely Gray Gel Eyeliner Pencil offers a smooth and effortless application thanks to its creamy gel texture, allowing for both precise lines and softer blended looks. The pigmentation is well-balanced, giving a noticeable gray shade that enhances the eyes without being too harsh, making it suitable for everyday wear as well as more defined makeup styles. Once applied, it sets nicely and stays in place for hours with minimal smudging. The waterproof formula holds up well throughout the day without fading or transferring easily. It feels comfortable on the eyelids and glides on without tugging, which makes the application quick and easy. The pencil format is also very practical for on-the-go use. Overall, this is a reliable and versatile eyeliner that performs well and fits easily into a daily makeup routine.
