This rating is for the firequartz only. I had previously purchased the amethyst (really nice color, pieces smaller than what the reviews would have you think) and the gorgeous optical calcite. I took a chance on the firequartz despite reviews indicating lack of color (they were wrong about the amyethyst after all, so I chanced it). Alas, though the rocks are pretty quartz, they are mostly clear as water. Very pretty clear quartz. Some have a bit of iron type red traces, but it looks like those formed inside of cracks where the crystal then cleaved, which means a little bit of red veining is on the outside surface of some of the mineral. If polished, as I planned on doing, they will be all clear.
Shipping and packaging is very nice, and arrived quickly. The fire quartz did not even need washing, no rock dust. The first two orders cleaned up easy enough, no complaint here, one would expect some dust in an order of rough rock. But the fire quartz came all clean and with assurance of authenticity (from the owner of the business).
I get another order tomorrow, of a fourth type of mineral, I will find out if the fire quartz disappointment is an outlier!
Update: Seller contacted me about my disappointment over the lack of red in the firequartz and offered to make it right. I gladly accepted and now have wins and no losses!

I received my Rose Quartz and Amethyst from Kalifano today and I immediately felt connected. They came a few days ahead of schedule. I was first drawn to the Rose Quartz after I had completed another purchase from Kalifano and they showed up as something else I might be interested in. I always appreciate unexpected purchases like these because they have great meaning behind them. I am a firm believer that with spirituality, one does not choose their own crystal, quartz, etc. but it chooses you. That is how I acquire mine. I understand the reasons why they attracted me now that I have these beautiful Rose Quartz and Amethyst in my possession. The energy they hold is as breathtaking as their beauty.

Also included is a black velvet Kalifano bag, a business card, a Certificate of Authenticity that is signed by the owner and on the back side is a description about each one.

The blue is more noticeable after a good rinse. Taking 1 star off as it is difficult to visually confirm if these are in fact Larimar from the Dominican, or actually Caribbean Calcite or Hemimorphite. Based on the price I’m a little skeptical, but took a risk just in case. Cool rocks though.

As usual, I’m satisfied with the crystals I buy from them. Sometimes you get citrine pieces that are a bit too small for tumbling, just keep that in mind.
The ones I got came in a little dusty, but after they got rinsed out in a strainer and some water, they ended up looking much nicer.
My suggestion is you can also try using a vibratory tumbler to to smooth them out, without them losing too much of their size or shape.

I was a bit disappointed with the selection I received. About half were easily identifiable as something that was listed in the description, but the rest looked like just common rocks found on the ground in the Arizona/Utah/Nevada area and two were doubles of the same dull rocks. Even after tumbling for over a week, no colors or any hidden characteristics have begun to show through that would identify these rocks as something mentioned in the listing. I was hoping the boring flat monotone gray rocks would be labradorite, but it seems they are destined to just be flat monotone gray rocks all the way through. Same with the red/brown rocks. I do like the quartz and rose quartz- they are actually decent specimens. The other 2 colored rocks were passable and so was the chip of petrified wood. I would give 50% of the rocks a 4/5 rating with the rest of the rocks getting a 1/5 rating as I think they are common gravel fillers that will most likely end up getting tossed into the landscape rocks reject pile.
I’ll go ahead and finish them all the way through the polishing cycle to see if anything changes with what looks like junk rocks up to now, and if anything changes, I’ll update my review to reflect that.

Expectation vs reality…
First:
I understand the size and color may vary a bit since they are unique but there is a huge discrepancy between what is shown and what I received. Those are practically all white and small. I expected a variety of sizes, but they are tiny and white. The larger one is 1.5 in and I zoomed 4X the picture I uploaded.
Second:
Heat-treated amethyst crystals will show the same colour distribution typical of amethyst: more concentrated at the top of the crystal, less at the base. Natural citrine shows a much more even colouration throughout the crystal. This made me doubt of the authenticity of the stones I received but most of all it made me doubt this seller….
Very disappointed….
How a seller (claiming to be an expert of crystals) not know that a heat-treated amethyst is NOT a citrine?!? And they even made a note about it in the little card that came with the crystals, specifically saying that it’s a heat-treated amethyst!

These are a great collection of smaller ‘chunks’ of citrine. They are what I was looking for in making jewelry or adding to water, under pillows etc. They are not large – which they are not presented to be so for me no surprises here. I’d say thy are various sizes – envision measure from knuckle on your hand to the first knuckle of any finger and you’d be covered.
