When I saw these food items. I was disappointed and ask for a refund and wanted to return them, but Amazon won’t not allow me to return this food items. So I was stuck with them and I didn’t wanted to throw them away. So I said let me taste one and I started to like the taste of it. I am vegan, so this type of food comes in handy for me when I don’t want to order or cook food. So five star for this food items.

One of my children in college has a less than stellar dining service, so I frequently send foods that can be used in a limited kitchen. These definitely fit that description. They are filling, nutritious, taste great, are easy to prepare, and are shelf stable. All flavors are delicious according to my daughter, all with slightly different levels of spice. They are a little expensive for what you get, but my daughter is a student athlete and works out frequently, in addition to competing in horse shows every weekend during the season. These keep her energy levels up and make a great breakfast for when she’s catching her ride at 04:30 am to the other colleges’ arenas. Dining services don’t start so early, and it would be too long and too exhausting to skip a good breakfast. These cups are good for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and anytime snack to boost energy and provide a warm meal. I highly recommend if you have limited access to a kitchen and already love poha and Indian spices and flavors.

I like the speed in which each container was made ready to eat. All five of them (in this purchase) either utilize a microwave by adding water & popping them into the microwave, or boiling water poured over the product and allowed to set. That’s good. The less-than-good is that they all taste the same. The flavors are strong but not as vibrant as Indian cuisine generally is. Still, a good pantry snack to have on hand when hunger attacks.

Schezwan:
This stuff is not what I expected when I got it. Im use to the tasty bite, instant indian food that all taste pretty much the same (lets be honest). Im not sure where the Schezwan part comes in other than its kinda spicy. Not enough to make your lips warm, but when it hits your stomach, you can feel the little bit of warmth to it. The flavor is pretty amazing for being vegetarian instant food. I cant identify any of the spices, but it all works out. Which makes for a new refreshing flavor that you arent already sick of.

This is my favorite so far, by far. I honestly was freaked out by the peanuts at first – Im not a fan of cooked peanuts in my food.
The taste is so unusual and amazing though, the peanuts really add a nice hint to it and they arent crunchy, just softened up a bit. The addition of the curry leaves is what makes it incredible though.Never had them before trying this despite loving curry in its traditional forms. The leaves dont taste like what I thought they would. They are like a burst of fresh vegetable flavor. They are balanced perfectly though, not too much and not too little.
I super recommend this stuff. Its very filling, you dont get hungry an hour or two later, and its very comforting when you want something warm but not soup, and are too lazy to make anything else. Takes like 3 minutes once you add the hot water for it to be ready.
I wasnt sure about it when I first tried it – the flavors are so unique, but by the end of the cup, I was at my pc ordering more.
Doesnt taste like Chinese, and doesnt taste like Indian from a real restaurant to me (It may taste like Indian and I just havent had the pleasure of trying that region of India yet).
The consistancy is like stovetop stuffing if you add to the water line it suggests. I like to add to the “T” in “Water” on the marker for consistency more like cheddar rice or VERY fluffy stuffing once it absorbs the water. – Almost double the water it tells you to use. Adjust accordingly.
I hope they add more flavors to the poha line like Tangy and Schezwan. The mix of spices that arent common is a really nice break from every other instant food that is available.

Tasty, super easy to fix, surprisingly filling for such a convenient size. I am 83 and live at 4200 feet, so I use more water than specified, let the product stand longer than specified, and add about a rounded half teaspoon of bouillon to enhance the flavor: boiling water to about 3/4 inch of cup’s rim no matter what the directions say, stir well with bouillon, and let stand for 7-10 minutes. Nice for a light meal! I have just now ordered again.

I was getting tired of soup for lunch every night so I decided to try this instead…wow!
These little cups of joy are exactly what I needed-easy to fix, filling and full of flavour! I enjoy really spicy food, and a lot of heat and eat Indian food has the heat level dialled down to appeal to the masses, but not this. An authentic spice level that will satisfy even those of us who like that spicy kick while not being blazingly hot.
The only drawback is the packaging-the paper water level strip thankfully has been replaced by a line inside the cup-but the foil packet still cannot be opened without scissors…there is no way to simply tear open the bag, so this would be very inconvenient if you didn’t have cutting implements nearby.
Also, the lid won’t stay on while it’s in my lunch bag. I simply put a couple of pieces of tape on it to secure it, I wish the manufacturer had done that.
The cup itself is too slick-I was trying to pick up one of the cups to move it and it slipped out of my hand, turning over and spilling my hot Vegetable Upma all over my work table 🙁 Please add texture to the cup sides so it’s not so slippery.
Overall, though, it’s definitely worth it, and I will be buying more!

I am not sure about this. It has decent taste as well as decent portion which you won’t be still hungry after eating. However, it said certain tastes but whenever I felt like every tastes are the same.
Also, I follow the instrunction but some portion of meal was not cooked so I won’t recommend this for you.

I’ve only tried 2 flavors but both were pretty bad so I don’t even want to try the rest. I had bought these for my emergency/disaster preparedness kit and they expire early next year so I decided to start using them up now and buy new ones for next year but unfortunately I won’t be tasting the rest and I will definitely not be getting these again. Too bad
