Chat gpt recommend this coffee when I was looking for an organic coffee equivalent to Peets Major Dickinson brand . This coffee is by far the best coffee I’ve ever tried, strong , smooth , bold ,full of flavor and overall so much better than Peets.
Danni –
My favorite right now. Not bitter has a chocolate flavor and is smooth. I drink it black, this was my second purchase.

I bought the 3 sisters medium roast It tates like their dark roast 454 hp coffee. Very smooth, very strong, great smell and good crema. Bitter but not in a bad way. But this isnt a medium roast not even darker medium roast it is dark roast i am fine with it as i love dark roast and medium roast coffee.

Decent taste and body, but great price for fair trade/organic beans so I’ll take it. You get what you pay for eh

A Bit Pricey but Great Coffee Overall!

The price is good. However, the taste is just not there for me. I have tried the dark roast a few times, and every time I have found something lacking. I kept coming back because I thought maybe it was just the bag that particular time, but it’s every bag. It’s not a bad taste, but there’s nothing fantastic about it and nothing that says “dark roast” to me. It’s definitely not as strong as I expect a dark roast to taste, and it actually tastes a bit weak to me. And unlike other people, I’m not tasting any chocolatey undertones. UPDATED: I’m updating to 3.5, but not 4, stars because of a couple of things. Today, I was at the end of the last bag I purchased so I added the last scoop I had left. It actually moved the coffee closer to the dark roast taste I like. I am overly-generous with my scoops when I make coffee, so I probably already add an additional scoop. So, adding that extra scoop was probably the equivalent of adding an additional 2-2.5 scoops, which shouldn’t be necessary to get a good taste profile. Also, I let my last cup sit for too long, and it got a little cold. As one other person stated, at that point, I did taste some chocolately undertones. I don’t like cold coffee, so this wouldn’t happen with how I drink my coffee typically. I don’t want, or think I should have, to do either/both of these things every time I make coffee, which is why I won’t upgrade this to 4 stars, but hopefully this helps some people who may be on the fence about buying this particular version.

Very good and strong coffee but pricey with the tariffs on Canada. I’ve been able to buy it from one supplier who must have prepurchased a large quantity. Once their lower prices are gone, I’ll move on to another brand.

I’d rate this higher if the price wasn’t so high. I will only buy this when I see it around $25 for the 2.2 lb bag and it’s good coffee. They’re trying to charge $43 now and that’s just pathetic. Be better, Kicking Horse.

But the it appears to be a bit costly

Excellent coffee! Medium strength and body, great tasting, good value! I will use this as a morning coffee, it wakes you up but it is so smooth you can drink it all day without getting any caffeine jitters. Highly recommend.

Wonderful aromatic well bodied coffee. I wanted a rich, organic dark roast and found it in Grizzly Claw. I use it coarse ground in my french press and couldn’t be happier.

We decided to retire our Kurig coffee maker recently. The waste involved with the pods was bothering us and we also questioned the freshness of the coffee in those pods. We bought a coffee machine with a grinder and this wonderful coffee and was well worth it. Not coffee snobs but enjoy a good cup in the morning. The coffee is smooth, aromatic and delicious and we have recommended it several time to friends. Enjoy.

I’ve been trying out coffee to find a second favorite. This whole bean punchs above its class, great coffee

Great coffee. This is the lightest roast that we buy (Three Sisters is a medium roast), and it sees regular monthly rotation through our grinder.
In general, I find that the Kicking Horse beans are consistent in terms of freshness, quality, and roasting levels from bag to bag, year to year.
Individual flavour profiles are hard to review, as it depends entirely on an individuals taste preferences, but I can say with certainty that the three sisters medium roast is true to it’s name as a medium roast coffee, and that the flavour matches well with the bags description of “cocoa, stone fruit, and sweet tobacco”. Beans are always aromatic and oily, I’ve never had any off flavours or shrivelled, stale beans.
Love Amazon carrying this through the subscribe options, and in 1 kg bags! We have monthly subscriptions set up for our coffee beans, and I’ve found that these Kicking Horse bags are always fresh and at a better price than any of my local stores.
