Oh, Kukka’s Vanilla Oil – where have you been all my life? This little gem is warm, sweet and deep enough to linger without having to reapply. I dab it on my wrists for an instant mood lift during stressful days, or mix a drop into my diffuser for a room that smells delicious. It transforms my space into a spa sanctuary. This scent has lasted all day without fading. At this price, it’s a steal for such luxury. Kukka, you’ve got me hooked—my go-to for my signature scent.

So, I am not sure how to review this Clove Bud oil. First, it does not smell like the spice cloves at all! An internet search returns data saying Clove Bud should smell the most like cloves. However, this does not have even the light floral scent, as I have since also read about Clove Bud oil having. What this does smell like is lightly burnt wood. Let me say again, not any scent of the spice cloves! Prior to buying this, I just used up an old bottle of clove essential oil, which I bought at a great store, and that clove oil had an outstanding clove scent! (manufacturer unknown) I have since ALSO read that my old oil was probably not clove bud oil, but probably clove stem or leaf oil, which usually has a spicier clove scent. So, maybe I am going to have to try that, because I want the clove scent as well as the medicinal numbing quality.
I did a paper test with this Clove Bud oil. 45 minutes after placing 5 drops of this oil on a piece of card stock, the oil had not evaporated, and one drip still showed the sheen of reflected light. I do not know how quickly Clove Bud essential oil is supposed to evaporate, but this did not evaporate like my pure eucalyptus oil does. In fact, 24 hours later, there is still an oil soaked card stock, which appeared to have had almost no evaporation, so I have huge doubts. These things make me highly suspicious! Now, the next thing I did was to place a couple drops, full strength, on my finger, and rub it on my gums and lips. I got a quick burning sensation, and fairly quick numbing effect on my gums. (What I did is not recommended, but I have my own ways!) From this test, I tend to believe that the strength of this Clove Bud oil to be strong, even though the scent of it was completely unexpected and disappointing.
If I had a lab, I would certainly run a spectral analysis on this, to find out for certain if it is pure. But, here is what I think: it may be pure, it may be good for the medicinal purposes which have been described by the seller, it does create numbing and burn on sensitive lips and gums, and I felt nothing from a full strength drop on my arm skin. However, if you want a clove-spice scent for perfume, room spray, or diffuser then this is absolutely not what you want, and maybe clove “bud” oil in general is not what we want. The thing is, I just don’t want to gamble with the disappointment of online purchases any more! I have to smell it! If I can’t smell it first, then just forget it!

The smell is very strong and delightful. You don’t have to use much. And the price couldn’t be beat. The smell lasts a very long time. Be mindful when you use it in a carrier oil or lotion. It’s very strong. Excellent.

It smells good. I massage it into my scalp. It’s helping my roots.

I’ve been on a frankincense search for 6 months. The brand that I love has gone out of business.
I’ve tried 6 or 7 brands and none of them worked for my purposes.
I use frankincense to treat and remove skin tags and solar keratoses. This one (finally) does it!
I use it straight. I rub a drop or two on the spot every night. In 1-2 weeks – it shrivels up, dries out & falls off. I also mix a drop into my night cream 3-4 times per week. Be aware: this is supposed to smell a bit like turpentine – it’s a tree sap kind of thing. This brand smells & performs correctly. Other “varieties” are better for aroma therapy etc. This is the one valued for benefit to your skin. BTW – I have friends who use it to combat acne.

Although this product is labeled for diffuser use, I use it mainly for other reasons. First, when mixed with some avocado oil, it makes for a great hair treatment; the trick though is to make it like ten parts avocado and one part this sandalwood oil. And don’t apply it to the scalp, but rather the hair itself, to help keep it supple and from drying out, especially if you wash often.
The other is I have a lotus seed mala I use in meditation, and the beads need oiling every now and again, also to keep from drying out, but also so insects don’t get at the beads. A little of the sandalwood oil on a soft cloth or paper towel, and the lotus seeds look shiny and smell really nice, albeit not in an overpowering kind of way.
Great oil, would get again.

Nice for its price. Likely synthetic -but most are. Sometimes this scent can be overwhelming but this iteration is lighter. My diffuser is located in a large, very well ventilated area so maybe that has something to do with it? Anyway, if you like Rose I think you’ll be happy with this. It’s not the best I’ve used but for its price it works.

Not sure what happened between my last bottle of vanilla essential oil running thru its last few drops, and finding this vanilla oleoresin?? Looked for a good, concentrated vanilla that was skin and laundry-safe for use. We traditionally add a few drops of essential oil to our front-load, HE washer for laundry (teen boys), but I like to play with personalizing lotions or body sprays, too.
So skin-safe and high concentrate scent….
Leading me *here.*
I have never, NEVER gotten as many compliments on “how (I) smell!” and “you smell great,” and “What IS that lotion??” as I have in the last week? Have I done laundry with this vanilla oil added to the soap/ detergent reserve for washing?? Yes, I have.
Have I added a drop to my body lotion or oil (EOS Vanilla Cashmere) getting dressed in the mornings?? That, as well.
Have I changed ANYthing else??
Not a bit.
I like a subtle, sweet, approachable scent that doesn’t overwhelm the room, and I like to smell nice through the day. Normal routine is shower, body oil or lotion, cornstarch powder around the bra and undie seam regions, body spray. Get dressed and finish with 1-2 spritz perfume, depending on work vs/ going to dinner, etc. And I’ve changed NOTHING else.
Except the constant compliments on scent, smells, and people liking whatever it is I’m wearing?? So if you need a Lil self-esteem boost, if you’re feeling down with the holidays ending recently, or like maybe your 2026 could use some positive glow??
ONE DROP.
Toss it in your lotion, drop directly on skin and rub swiftly to distribute, add one drop to your shower loofah with soap or body wash. Not sure WHAT this stuff is, aside from magical~~ but warm it up a tiny bit, and distribute over all your limbs and parts….. INSTANT popularity in a bottle??!!!
Weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. ;0D

Works very well for the millions of things to treat. I did not like the smell, even after essential oils. Other than that it works.

I mainly bought this rosemary oil for hair growth and scalp care, and it’s been working well so far. The scent is strong and herbal, which makes it feel fresh and invigorating when massaged into the scalp. I mix a few drops with a carrier oil and use it as a scalp treatment a couple of times a week.
It helps soothe my scalp and reduces dryness without feeling heavy or greasy when properly diluted. My hair feels healthier and stronger, and I’ve noticed less shedding over time. The bottle size is also a big plus since a little goes a long way.
The only downside is that the oil is very concentrated, so using too much can be overpowering. Overall, it’s a great option for anyone looking to improve scalp health and support hair growth as part of a regular routine.

Update please see bottom for update:
It does not smell right. It smells like minty manure. I mean like the manure you would put into your yard that you buy from home improvement stores. I sadly didn’t notice until I had applied some. I am sad because it had so many previous good reviews.
Update:
After posting my review the seller reached out offering a full refund. I can see why they have so many high level reviews. They clearly stand behind their product and the quality of their product. I will definitely be giving them another opportunity with future purchases.

I love this oil for my body and hair. I often mix it with EOS vanilla cashmere and it is DEVINE. So so good. This oil smells amazing and is so good. You can also put it into your essential oil diffuser or even mix it into a wax melt.

This is the best essential cinnamon oil. I absolutely love the smell of cinnamon and it’s hard to find an essential oil that actually smells like cinnamon and whose fragrance will last. I use the eyedropper and place several drops on each decoration that I have in a bowl on my coffee table. The fragrance will last for a couple of weeks. Better than any store-bought plug-in , spray or wax melt that you can buy. I get more compliments from people who visit and they are always trying to figure out where the fragrance is coming from. Highly recommend if you love cinnamon!

I’ve been using tea tree oil for a few months now, and I’m genuinely impressed by how versatile and effective it is. From treating blemishes to soothing minor cuts and insect bites, this little bottle has become a staple in my natural remedy kit.
One thing that stands out immediately is the strong, unmistakable odor—it’s sharp, medicinal, and invigorating. Some might find it intense at first, but I’ve grown to appreciate it. The scent actually reassures me that I’m using something pure and potent. It’s not masked by artificial fragrances, which makes it feel even more authentic.
The results speak for themselves: my skin looks clearer, and any irritation or redness seems to calm down almost overnight. A drop goes a long way, so a small bottle lasts surprisingly long.
If you’re looking for a natural, no-nonsense product that works, and don’t mind (or even enjoy) a strong herbal scent, tea tree oil is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

Great quality. Immediately saw the difference in my skins moisture retention when I added the oil to my lotion. Would definitely buy again.

This peppermint essential oil is incredibly fresh and powerful—in the best way. The scent is crisp, clean, and instantly energizing without being harsh. You can tell it’s high quality as soon as you open the bottle.
I use it for headaches, focus, and a quick mood boost, and it works like a charm every time. A little goes a long way, and it blends beautifully with eucalyptus or lavender. It’s also great for refreshing a space or adding to a diffuser when you need that clean, invigorating feel.
Absolutely a must-have essential oil—this one never disappoints

This is exactly what I needed. I am formulating a spa scent and this product is perfect for my boutique spa signature scent not only for the spa but for my products as well.

This is an all-rounder tea tree oil. If you’re looking for something multi-purpose, and budget-friendly, this is it.
Pros
Versatility, it works whether I mix a few drops into my shampoo for my scalp, add it to a carrier oil for skin.
Fresh Scent. The aroma is clean and natural.
Value Size. The 4 fl oz bottle is a really generous amount.
Strengthens Nails. According to the product description, it’s sourced from Australian tea tree and is tested for purity.
Cons
Dropper feels a little cheap or rubbery, which might not be ideal for long-term, frequent use.
