I honestly didn’t expect to love this mascara as much as I do. I picked it up thinking it would be just another “okay” product, but it completely proved me wrong. The formula goes on smoothly, adds a ton of length, and somehow manages to give volume without clumping. My lashes look lifted and defined all day, and I haven’t had any smudging or flaking—even after a full day of wear.
The wand is easy to work with, too. It grabs every lash, even the tiny corner ones I usually struggle with. I’ve actually had people ask if I’m wearing lash extensions!
Overall, this mascara totally exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for something that delivers big results without a big fuss, this is absolutely worth trying.

UPDATE:
This is my seventh purchase of Lancôme Idôle Lash Lifting and Volumizing Mascara, which says a lot on its own. I have used mascaras from Maybelline and L’Oréal for most of my life, and they both do a solid job. I originally bought this one when it was on sale and ended up liking it more than expected.
What stands out is how clean the application is. It lifts and adds volume without clumping, which is something I struggle with using many other mascaras after a few usages. My lashes look defined and separated, not heavy or spiky. It also layers well without getting messy.
The other brands I’ve used are still good and more budget friendly, but this one performs better for me, especially when it comes to clump control and overall finish. When it is on sale, it is absolutely worth it, and clearly I keep coming back to it.

This is a really deeply pigmented mascara, the brush is perfect for separating lifting and providing some volume to lashes when it’s applied. The formula is still prone to clumps and maybe more so when I use the Lancome primer first, but if you use this sparingly and carefully, using one wand full of mascara, wiggling it into the roots of the lashes and then pulling up for both eyes, it is both effective and last all day long. Also seems like it’s gentle to my own lashes and not really hard to remove with makeup wipes or a gentle cleanser. I am always looking for the holy Grail of mascara, and this is not it, but it’s better than a lot or most.

I have tried many many mascaras! I bought the Lancôme mascara during a black Friday sale. I was excited to get it, as I rarely spend that much on a mascara, UNLESS it’s worth it. I have very long eye lashes. In fact they scrape on the lenses of glasses. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. It was extremely clumpy and I had to scrape the clumps off before applying. Even after that, it went on my lashes unevenly, with clumps that I couldn’t separate without an eyelash comb. On a positive note, once I got the clumps off, it went on with good lengthening, dark and lasted a long time. It was a little difficult to remove with makeup wipes, probably because it was made to last. So the con is it clumps, the pros are it makes your lashes look long and thick. Plus it lasts. Personally, I hate clumpy mascara and would not purchase this again!

Lancôme Lash Idôle has been my absolute favorite mascara for years—I love how it lifts, separates, and adds volume without clumping. It usually gives my lashes the perfect fluttery look and lasts all day without smudging. However, this particular tube felt a little dried out right from the start, and it didn’t apply as smoothly as usual. I can’t help but wonder if it might be an older batch or if something happened during shipping. I still love the formula, but this experience was a bit disappointing given how perfect it normally is.
