I really like this product it goes on very easy, is buildable, and really looks great on my skin. I have fair skin, so I got the porcelain shade. I wore it for the first time today to give it a try, and I’m very impressed. It didn’t irritate my skin or my eyes (like around my eye area I mean), and lasted all day and still looked great here at 10pm before I washed it off my face for the night.
Today I used my regular primer underneath the laura geller foundation, but tomorrow I am going to try my regular tinted lightweight moisturizer underneath to see which I like better. Needless to say, I think I’ll be buying more of this product as soon as I run out. Thank you!

I love this stuff. I have been using it on and off for years. Now that I am in my late 30’s this works better for my skin. I have large pores and oily skin, when I wear foundation it tends to cake up (even my favorite foundation) now that I am older. Using this powder does not dry my skin out, my skin does get oily throughout the day but I use blotting paper for that. This powder does not settle in my pores and does not make me break out. It’s not 100% coverage but it makes your skin tone blend. I also have milia under my eyes and this helps decrease the prominence of them.

I got the Fair and was not sure if it would work because I have a neutral skin tone that gets pale in winter and tans in summer. I got it specifically due to cheapest price point. I consider this makeup high end for my meager budget and would never pay full price. However something told me to go ahead. I don’t regret the purchase at all. I’m 50 with slight signs of an aging face, few wrinkles, a little redness sometimes, hormonal acne, once in a rare while. It went on darker than anticipated and later self adjusted in about 15-20 minutes. It evens out skin and gives a soft focus diffused look. Very quick to apply and stays put. Plus it feels like I have nothing on my skin, no makeup feel at all. I would definitely recommend especially at the current sale price. Give it a try because it definitely looks like this lady has some good makeup. It would be lovely to be able to afford to try more of this line. Just like good skincare at any age, a good makeup line is definitely a nice up level. This one is definitely worth it!

I genuinely love this product! Some background: I have combination skin and often have difficulties finding a good color match due to time faded freckles all over my face. I am in my early thirties and I feel like my skin is in that weird in between phase where I am starting to get a few fine lines and my skin is starting to lose a little bit of its glow. I want to make sure I’m using products that are going to be gentle as my skin ages but also help me get some serious natural looking glow back. So I’ll list the reasons this product is now my everyday go to!
1. The coverage is buildable and isn’t heavy. I also have the kabuki brush and I like that I can have variations of coverage in different areas and it will all still blend together seamlessly.
2. I use a liquid concealer for my eyes. This powder blends over it well and doesn’t cause the concealer to cake up underneath like some other products I’ve tried.
3. The blurring and brightening effect is just beautiful! It has given me my natural glow back.
4. I use shade medium and I find it works very well with my freckles and complexion. It doesn’t mismatch my neck or look too light/dark. ANDDDD it doesn’t show up orange! Big win!
5. I don’t really need to use liquid foundation anymore because I get such good variation in whatever coverage I want.
6. Touch ups are very easy. I can go from less coverage during the day to simply adding more coverage at night before I go to dinner or anything like that.
7. Easy to travel with. I have started keeping it in my bag every day.
8. It doesn’t irritate my skin.
9. For a powder, it holds well throughout the day without clogging your pores. I don’t need a setting spray.
10. Because of the formula’s versatility, I feel that this is a great powder for ALL age types. My mom (age 65) now uses it and so does my younger coworker (age 26).
Overall, great quality, versatility, broad coverage range, brightening, shade matching, and skin gentleness. Pricing is very reasonable as well. I’m truly grateful I found this as my new everyday foundation!

Wanted to like and did not disappoint. It’s a little privy but you get what you pay for. The coverage is great, you can build it to make it darker and provide more or less coverage. It makes my skin look airbrushed.

I have purchased this product off and on for years but I am here to stay. This product can provide light but make no mistake you can get full coverage easy. I use a triangle velvet type powder puff which has proven better for me than any brush. On areas I need extra coverage I pat the product on that area and then lightly buff. This really is a powder to cream type finish. I don’t look matte but I don’t look donut glaze shiny or sparkly either. Mature skin simply doesn’t work with shiny faces. This provides great coverage but a really natural look when you zoom in on a magnified mirror. The coverage also allows me to not need concealers or color correctors either. It covers that well. I can’t wear multiple layers of makeup and this does it all. Simply pat an extra layer of product if you need more coverage. After a few minutes, you skin warms the product and you only need light buffing for any areas needing it.

I really like this powder foundation overall. It goes on very nicely and smoothly, and it blends easily into the skin. It gives great coverage without feeling heavy, and it leaves a natural, even finish that looks polished but not cakey.
The only downside for me is the scent. I can definitely smell it while I’m wearing it, which isn’t my favorite thing. It’s not overpowering, but it’s noticeable enough that I wish it were fragrance-free.
Other than that, it’s a great powder foundation and one I’ll continue to use.

I’m almost 60/F, some wrinkles and a fair amount of discoloration, red spots, and sun damage, esp. on cheeks.
This foundation (baked balance and brighten, color FAIR) is really easy to use. Feels like nothing, even when building. I used only basic, soft, fluffy brushes I had on hand; they worked well for light coverage, but I do think a denser brush option – like a retracting kabuki, as recommended – might work better for building.
Very good coverage on bare skin (moisturizar only), pracrically perfect over an inexpensive primer. Almost all my flaws disappeared, even without concealer.
Did not settle in wrinkles, either. I FEEL PRET-TY, OH-SO PRET-TY!…or, at least, “not bad for an old broad, not at all!”.
I do find that using primer is better over large pores and significant discoloration, such as have I. I used a budget brand with spf 30 and the foundation went on perfectly.
It’s FAST, too. The longest part if the process is waiting for the primer to dry, maybe 1-3 minutes.
Found it difficult to shade match – but to be fair: When is it *not* difficult?
Would be a very nice thing if Laura Geller Beauty offered an inexpensive “sampler” (say, $5.00 for just enough product for 1/2 face in two adjacent shades) to help in this process.
I tried “PORCELAIN” first, but it was just a tad too light. The model wearing “FAIR” looks like an olive tone to me, whereas (I think?) I’m more peachy, like the “LIGHT” model – but I’m super pale…but … but.. hem ..haw..
Seems really wasteful to open, use once and return a full product to try a color that isn’t quite right, as I have. “Samplers” would really help reduce the volume of product returns, not to mention reduce waste and carbon footprints – just sayin’.

I’m 70+, so I was absolutely leery about using a powder foundation, but the commercial convinced me to look at reviews. And I read a lot in hopes it would help me with color choice. I read in one that light was a summer tone. I was looking for something to bring some light but not overwhelming color. I found a deal to purchase both the Double Take and the Balance and Brighten in Light. I am very pleased with both. I have a kabuki brush which made it easy to apply a light foundation and build on. It gave a such a nice, silky, coverage that evened out my skin tone and perfect for a more natural daytime look. The Baked Balanced and and Brighten which is matte gave more coverage for nighttime. I love both. I like that you can build the color to your liking. It stays on well and did not settle into any areas on my face. I think the kabuki brush truly helps attain that finish.

I have been using this product for over a year now.. I’ll admit that despite my lower rating and the issues I’ll explain, I’ll probably continue using the product until i can find a better option. To explain further..
My biggest issue is that the consistency of this product is VERY unpredictable.. I provided a picture of an example.. the two products in the picture are the exact same product.. baked & brighten foundation in color: fair.. the product on the right is the what i was replacing and the product on the left is what i was sent. Again this is the EXACT SAME PRODUCT. You can easily see how much lighter the newer product is on the left. The blend is so different and is mainly the lighter shade in the blend. I purchased these products only a month apart. This inconsistency has happens very often..
..The blend is always inconsistent. This newer shade is too light for me so, this means i had to order ANOTHER in a shade darker to mix the two products to match my skin. That’s expensive, unfair and annoying. I should not have to worry about getting a consistent color. Matching this to your skin is definitely not as easy as they depict. I found matching my skin tone to be really difficult initially and with the inconsistent blend, I continue to have this issue.
In addition, this absolutely DOES settle in deeper wrinkles and lines.. it even settles in fine lines. This is better than some other foundations meant for aging skin but, this hardly helps the issue with lines and wrinkles.. especially if you sweat! I am almost 42 yrs old so my lines are faint. This settles in the one wrinkle i have near my nose/lip area. I constantly have to reblend this area.
This also easily runs and smudges with even mild perspiration.
But, it does give a soft appearance. It helps but does not fully cover redness. It’s easy to apply although it can cake up. It will even out skin tone. It feels fine on although multiple touch ups are required throughout the day.
Overall, i only buy this product when it’s on sale or i have a discount. I have a hard time with paying full price since there are so many issues with it (about $37 full price).
I feel like there are many better products but, it’s very expensive to keep trying to find the perfect foundation for me. I hope to find a better product but will use this until. I guess i recommend it but, if you suspect there is a better option, maybe try that first..

All women at least over 50 should try this amazing powder. We already have a beautiful face & this powder enhances our natural beauty. I do not use any other powder now that I tried this. I am 60 & I am told that I look like I am in my late 40s. The product goes on nicely with the brush & it does feel nor appear that I have to much makeup, you look bright and you have a nice finished look. It stays fresh all day long, as well as adventurous times at night. It does not come off on pillows during hose times when you cannot remove before bed. You still look fresh! No skin irritation, texture great & it does not look too thick on your face, it blends in with all of your earned wrinkles & facial scars, the product does not highlight those features you might want to hide. I love the product, I wish I had used it years before.
