BAB Omaha –
Very tasty coffee. Never guess it’s decaf. Dark and robust just the way I like it. A little pricy, but all coffee is right now
Kathy Cooper –
Lavazza Decaf coffee is EXCELLENT. The taste is wonderful. We mix it with Lavazza regular coffee and the taste is full bodied and very rich.
Deborah Ann Ray –
Great coffee but Amazon seriously slapped a sticker on the coffee bag and shipped it just like that- no box, no other bag.

I decided to switch to decaf on doctors orders due to my baby having reflux. I don’t drink that much coffee but I do drink it regularly. The decaf tastes very similar to the regular caffeinated espresso and my babies reflux has improved significantly. I will continue to buy while breast feeding.

If you don’t want the jitters and still have a smooth, flavourful and satisfying cup of coffee, this is a gooder. All the decaffeinated coffee beans I’ve tried to date have been a lesser experience than regular beans: They are almost always dark roast (even the ones labeled medium-dark) and, understandably, the processing to extract the caffeine affects the integrity of the beans. It makes it tough to get the grind just right, lacks crema, and flavour that is just meh. Dek coffee is definitely in a different category; and more like the specialty espresso beans I’ve come to prefer. True medium roast that maintains more of the nuances of flavour. ☕️👌🏼

This is an amazing tasting espresso blend considering the fact that it is decaf. I try to limit my caffeine use to a few times a week and this coffee is a great option for those who like espresso, but can’t have caffeine.
Taste is a very subjective thing. This is why I never take reviews at their face value when it comes to product involving ‘taste’ we are all different in that prospective.
I’ve used up 1/3 of a bag in the process of dialing this coffee to yield a perfect shot of espresso. I bought myself breville barista espress, bare in mind I’m new to this so it took me 3 days and hours of watching youtube videos in the process of getting a perfect shot from this coffee. Be patient and you will eventually get it! Below I’m going to outline the basics of getting a drinkable shot from which you can fine tune and extrapolate to a shot that suits your pallet.
First and foremost I’ve got to mention that I don’t drink starbucks, period. I think it is worth mentioning because it will give you idea about my palette. All starbucks taste to me like burnt, tasteless goo. If I do buy espresso, then it is usually from mom and pop shop.
I’ve tried to pull a decent double shot from this, but no matter what I did it was either bitter or sour. In terms of yield (1:2) , and time (25+sec) it was supposed to taste more or less ok, but it did not. This is was the result of 2 days trial and error. I was on a verge of packing my espresso machine and returning it!
On day three I had an epiphany! I’ve got to increase my output ratio. I wanted to stay in 20-30 sec range. And from my previous trials that would mean my double would have to extend beyond 30 sec mark. I decided to scale back to a single shot. Increase ratio to 1:2.5 within 25-30 time frame. The result was completely different, I finally got a decently tasting shot. Here’s my recipe:
– 10g of coffee as measured in portafilter.
– 5/3 i set my grinder to 5 on the inside (bore) and 3 as dialed on the outside wheel
– firm tamp
– run a single shot through empty portafilter to warm it up clean and load with 10g of grounded coffee
– set your machine into manual mode (press program button on your BBE)
– get your scale / shotglass set up under portafilter, get your timer ready
– hit double shot button wait until first drops and start the timer.
– observe scales. You’ve got to wait until scale reads 21-22g and then hit double shot button and stop the timer simultaneously. You should get about 2-4g as an afterflow. Your timer should read about 25sec +/- 2 sec. from here you can adjust to make a delicious shot that suits your taste. I’m going to eventually tune machine to get a double shot, but personally, i’m just fine with singles.

Très bon café déca. J’en ai essayer plusieurs et, le LAVAZZA me convient. Pas trop fort ni trop lèger. C’est ce qu’il me fallait. Je garderai celui là.
Eric Liu –
I am a big coffee lover, but I have to reduce my caffeine intake for a bit, so this came to my attention. I looked through many different beans and decaf methods, and bought three different types to try. Among the ones I tried, the carbon dioxide method, which this brand uses, preserves the best flavor and also the healthiest. The roast quality is great, with a fresh aroma, and the coffee comes out excellent. Most importantly, the decaf process is very thorough and we can enjoy our cup of latte in the evening without having any caffeine rush feelings. I have also mixed this with the other regular Lavaza Super Creame beans to keep the flavor while reducing caffeine for the day, and the blend flavor is awesome. These are the best decaf beans I have had so far.

Very good product

This coffee has such a mild taste too. I don’t mean mild in the sense of absence of robustness rather mild than it doesn’t have that typical oily acidic taste that comes with coffee.
When I was a young fella I used to drink my coffee black and then I got a little older and I added cream and then of course my coffee turned into a candy bar with all the sweet stuff that’s out there.
I’m not a guy that necessarily goes for caffeine because I don’t like the shakes in any regard and have been off caffeine for near three decades now though I still like to have the taste of coffee. I’m not a caffeine purist; I’m a taste of coffee purist.
Houston changes in the way I consume food lately I have moved more boards green teas and more helpful way of life in general. That being said we went to a restaurant that served this coffee with our kids and we went ahead and ordered it as a decaf product and noticed the level of smoothness.
My bride’s still drinks decaf so I ordered it for her because she had commented on it so readily. We got it home and she really liked it and I was thinking to myself maybe I’ll try it black because I just don’t want to take the extra stuff inside my coffee.
Well I tried it black and I surely did like it and all that oil in acidic was gone and now I just got to enjoy the smoothness of the coffee.
Tastes are always subjective whether it be food, what appeals to the eye, what appeals to the touch, what appeals to the ear, and what appeals to the smell.
With that being said I enjoyed this coffee greatly and would recommend it and remember it is a subjective recommendation so you may not necessarily agree.
So let’s say you buy the coffee and you don’t like it. You don’t necessarily have to return it you could always give it as a gift to somebody that may like it.
Maybe give it to someone that is financially disadvantaged in the short term.
Blessings to all

If you are a fan of Robusta beans you might like this. Not particularly bitter but the flavor is oddly different. No problems with the CO2 decaffination, similar to water process, clean, with no chemical taste.
Nicely roasted, not burnt but visually a mix of different beans with different roast levels. Maybe they have to roast the Arabica differently than the Robusta.
I’ll stick with 100% Arabica beans in the future. This would work in a pinch if I couldn’t get that.
Peter Decker –
As I opened these Lavazza coffee beans the beautiful rich aroma reminded me of the smell and freshness of the full caffeine Lavazza beans. So I am stood there with my nose in the bag taking in this amazing aroma lol.
I find that these beans are smaller in size than the full caffeine beans but in my opinion this does not detract from the quality and the smooth well balanced taste in which I did not detect any bitterness at all.
These beans have a subtle nuttiness and a delicate fruitiness to them. They are bold without being too strong. A perfect fit for me.
Honestly these beans are so good it’s hard to believe they are not full caffeine beans.
I must admit I have tried a few different brands of coffee beans but these are now my absolute favourite for my bean to cup coffee machine.
As far as the price is concerned I feel they offer value for money because of their quality even though the price is more expensive they are:
1. Italian coffee beans and:
2. They are decaffeinated using the water process whereas the cheaper brands use solvents in the decaffeinating process.
In my opinion I give these beans a whopping 9/10 for the best decaffeinated coffee beans I have tried to date.
Redt595 –
Nice flavor for a decaffeinated espresso but it is twice as much as the regular coffee and not as flavorful. I’m sticking to regular Lavazza espresso.

Most delicious coffee without the bitter aftertaste
We use this coffee for expresso as well as regular coffee!
RICH deep flavor, great aroma. We use it in a JURA coffee machine, but I’m sure it’s great for regular drip as well

We thought that the flavor of this coffee was excellent. I like that it is a whole bean decaffeinated

In my opinion, this product is not worth the price. The flavor is very intense and overpowering, which may not appeal to everyone.
Additionally, the package size is quite small for the price point, making it feel overpriced compared to similar options on the market. While the quality may suit those who prefer very strong coffee, the overall value for money is disappointing.

The coffee tastes great.

Great coffee. I bought this for my friends and family who don’t drink caffeinated coffee LOL.

Smooth with no bitterness. This decaf is very good. Not bitter with a subtle sweetness and hint of chocolate. Most decaf coffees don’t have the same rich flavor. I made cappuccino with it and the crema was perfect.
Alvin Carstensen –
Tasty beans for an after dinner decaf drink. Although freshness seems to be hit a miss especially when ordering on here. It’s difficult to get much crema from a naked portafilter when these are several months old. These definitely perform better in a pressurized basket which is more forgiving for older beans.
Lisa R. Wells –
Excellent decaf with good flavor. Its not perfect but it has a pleasant aroma and a good taste but expresso its not.
Eduardo Lopez –
I definitely love the taste of this coffee beans, I tried others before but I would say this is my favorite bought here on Amazon. I think the size is good for two people and the freshness it’s great each time that a new package arrives I can smell the delicious aroma.

It’s a struggle to find a good decaf bean, which is unfortunate since it’s all I can have. This one is a good find. I was using Segafredo Zanetti, but Trump’s tariffs have resulted in a price increase (it was already more expensive), so this is a really nice alternative that is less expensive, but still made in Italy.

I’m serious about coffee. Of late have moved over to a anit-inflamatory diet so tried out a number of decaf coffees. Having grown up in Europe and Africa I am used to rich, deep, dark roast coffees.
This Lavazza Dek hit the spot. Used it in the Breville making double shot Americanos and Latte’s.
My favorite however, for morning coffee, is using the Keurig machine with Keurig Pod (see pics).
I use a Rounexes grinder on 2 cups (lowest it will go) with grinding at between fine and medium.
I lightly tap down the coffee as I spoon it into the filter and at end use a coffee stirrer (has little metal barbs on it) to ensure water filters through the coffee since the pod, unlike the one that comes with the Keurig that takes pods, only has one water outlet.
Overall: Taste is smooth, rich, defininetly not burned like a Starbucks, somewhat less bold than I would eventually like but very similar in taste to Savaya, with very little acidity. I have noticed that during clean up of the Pod, it is a bit more greasy than others I have used.

I’ve been trying to cut back on caffeine lately, but most decaf beans I’ve tried just taste like dirty water. This Lavazza blend is surprisingly rich though, and it actually has a decent crema when I use it in my espresso machine. It’s a bit more oily than I expected, so I have to be careful with my grinder settings, but for a decaf, the flavor is honestly better than some regular beans I’ve bought.
