I purchased this for my classroom as a part of a unit on Chinese New Year. My students were aces at Legos and had it put together in less than an hour. I would not recommend to younger students because of the small parts. However fifth- graders tackled this with ease. I think this is a fun STEM project that can be used as a mini project for those students who finish curriculum work early or need an extra challenge. Plus, it is a lovely addition to my desk top!

I bought this Money Tree set for myself and I’m so glad I did! This is such a fun and unique build that really stands out from typical LEGO sets.
Really enjoyable build! It’s not too complicated but engaging enough to keep you interested throughout. The techniques used to create the tree structure and all the little money details are clever and satisfying to put together.
The finished tree looks amazing – it’s definitely a conversation starter and such a unique display piece. The golden coins and red elements really pop, and it has this elegant, festive look that works great as a decoration. It’s sturdy once built and the proportions are just right for displaying on a desk or shelf.
This set is just so different from anything else in the LEGO lineup. The cultural theme is beautifully executed and the attention to detail in representing the money tree tradition is really impressive. It’s educational too – I learned more about Lunar New Year customs while building it.
The sad part is I’m really bummed that LEGO is discontinuing this set! It deserves to stick around longer because it’s such a creative and meaningful build.

Lego is generally a bit pricey, but this wasn’t that $$ for Lego and it’s so cool. Got it for my 20yr old son as a silly Christmas gift because he used to enjoy Lego and is interested in Asian horticulture. He loved this! He not only enjoyed putting it together, but also likes it as a display.

I’ve been wanting this for a while now, and I finally got it and I am SO OBSESSED. It’s really pretty and is a great household decoration. It’s a good size, easy to display. We even had pieces left over, and there weren’t any problems with missing pieces or parts. It is a bit fragile though.

Lunar New Year is around the corner and I wanted to get festive. Didn’t like any of the new sets and saw this one by chance. Love the design of this one and wanted to give it a go. Shipping was fast and on time. This is the first time I’ve put together a LEGO set in a while. Instructions were clear and only took me about 2hrs to complete. I bought the additional light set to go with it and it looks fantastic on my table. All pieces were in the set with a few extras. Really good “beginner” set.
