A fairly basic tapestry. It has simple serged edges. I love the print of the frog and Koi, and the little tadpoles! I do wish the image were a little sharper.

I REALLY appreciate that this is not printed on that terrible shiny poly fabric everyone seems to be using now. This is a no-sheen cotton or cotton/poly blend (I did not test it) with a good quality print on it. We got it to use as a side-table covering for the summer months, and it’s absolutely perfect.

I ordered the 48″x36″ Lifeella Japanese Tapestry “Koi Pond” in black to use as a decorative cover for my coffee table, and it’s an excellent addition to our living room decor. The tapestry is made of polyester with a smooth matte-satin finish that feels soft and looks elegant. The thickness is a standard medium weight — while light will faintly shine through, it’s not see-through.
The finishing edge features a neatly sewn whip-stitch (overcast) hem with no loose or tight areas, giving it a tidy, well-crafted appearance. I chose the black version, and I’m thrilled with how beautifully the colors pop against it — the yellows, oranges, and greens are vivid without being harsh. The slightly distressed look softens the contrast just enough to give it a refined, vintage charm without dulling the crisp details. Only one side is printed, and the other is white.
The artwork is delightful and character, with koi fish, lily flowers, dragonflies, frogs, and even tadpoles — all adding to its serene pond-like feel and an Uzumaki pattern throughout. I really love this Japanese tapestry. There is a wall in our bedroom where someone enclosed a doorway and they did a poor job of plastering it in, so it’s uneven and bumpy. I’ve been looking for a tapestry to cover the area, and when I saw this i thought it was perfect. It’s made from polyester, but it does not have a sheen to it like some polyester. It has more of a cotton feel to it which I appreciate. I love the old world Japanese design which looks great with my light green and Boho style decor. The print on the fabric is clear and bright, and the size is perfect to cover a large area. I bought some hangers specifically for hanging tapestry on Amazon and hanging it was a breeze due to the lightweight material. I feel like this is a good quality tapestry for the price. I’m very happy with it.
