These magnesium flakes are great! They are definitely way better than epsom salt. I was looking for a better alternative for a tub soak than epsom salt. Read a few things about these magnesium flakes and are glad I did. They are perfect for when you need to soak sore muscles and they absolutely help with a good nights sleep. I use these at least once a week in the tub and soak for at least 20 minutes. That night I sleep very good. Highly recommend !

Okay. Let’s talk about something that sounds boring… but is actually elite-level adulting.
This is Micro Ingredients Magnesium Flakes — 6 pounds. And no, it’s not fancy bath salt. It’s magnesium chloride.
Most of us grew up using Epsom salt — which, fun fact, isn’t salt. It’s magnesium sulfate.
I used it for years.
But then I started reading about absorption — and magnesium chloride is considered more readily absorbed through the skin. That got my attention.
Because if I’m going to soak in a tub for 20 minutes, I want it doing something besides making me smell like a spa brochure.
Here’s what I do:
I shower first.
Because… ick.
We are not marinating in the day’s decisions.
Then I use a loofah and lightly exfoliate.

placed into shipment and delivered on time, but the product is magnesium & the product packaging is good and the product inside was good, looked correct in color & ‘scent’t as expected. pure magnesium which is very effective. had backpain, then soaked 20 min & very relaxed, & skin felt a-mazingly soft 🙂
