this thing is a piece of crap, it tells you if it moves too slow to take air bubbles out and if it moves too fast put air bubbles back in but no matter what I do it just freezes in motion. I can rotate it I can shake it like the instructions say but all it does is just freeze in the position that it’s in. Don’t waste your money on this it does not work

Looks just like the pictures. It took me a couple of tries to figure out how to use it correctly. The directions with it are really bad. But once I figured out I had to add more air bubbles, then I got it working. The note on the box “No adjustment is required as you receive the item” was wrong. Love the sand art though! Might buy another one for my husband’s desk.

This has provided my husband and me so much entertainment as we sit on our screened-in porch. In the morning, we turn it over to see what new design is going to delight our day. Every design is different, and it is mesmerizing to watch the sand trickle down to create 3-D appearing designs. It took a little bit of time to figure out how to make sure the perfect amount of air is in it and had to figure out how to manipulate the bubbles to get a good line of them across the screen. Takes a little bit of practice to familiarize the concept of how the sand is held back with only a tiny gap for the sand to trickle down and create the design. The grandkids love to come over and play with it and watch the designs too. Better for them than electronic devices! Fun for all ages!

My teenager got this for their room. The color purchased is the blue, which is a bit more on the royal blue side than the image. It does include some gold flecked sand, as well as a lighter color sand to give it dimension. The size is about 7 inches across for the circular piece and the base (two separate pieces). It’s worth noting that you will also get a DISPOSABLE SYRINGE inside the box to add or remove air from the art piece. That was shocking and unexpected, but important to note for anyone giving this item as a gift.
It is fun to turn or to shake and see what design gravity creates, but the entire thing feels a bit on the cheaper side. I expected it to be heavier than it was. Not sure how durable it would be if you used it as a fidget device, but it’s perfect for a book shelf or a desk where it would be turned on occasion and otherwise just sit. Because it’s plastic with the rubber around the edge, it would probably survive a fall or accidental dropping from a short height, but it also probably can’t be fixed once it breaks, so be careful.

I got this for my son with autism, he does not like a lot of things in his room but he definitely does not want this moved from his dresser. Actually when you want him to do something you can go get it, tip it upside down, he will follow you, turn it right side up and make sure it’s back on his dresser before he leaves. He loves it. Great quality, fun for anyone. Durable, great value for the money.
