My 3 year old loves this train whistle! He’s obsessed with trains right now and walks around with it all day! The whistle sounds just like a real train: It’s very durable and has lasted us several months with a toddler playing with it constantly. Still works and sounds perfect!

I purchased it for my 4yr old and 18m old and they both have fun. The quality is good. Sounds like a train. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s turning black since it’s wood and it doesn’t have a finish which I appreciate less chemicals I guess.

I bought two of these. I enjoyed the sound of the first one and thought I’d buy another to use in my classroom. The second one I purchased didn’t sound nearly as good. Only two of the four holes made a tone. Must be a fault in the way the wood is cut.

I love my new train whistle! It came well packaged and sealed in plastic to insure no one had used it. It is lightweight and fits my hand perfectly. It’s cute with the TRAIN WHISTLE and Train motif. And it sounds Amazing!!! It will really add to the fun when I’m operating the kiddy train ride for charity this Christmas! Thanks AMAZON for getting it here quick!

Does work; However, it takes a lot of breath and very particular positioning to get a sound, and it’s not overly loud. I had a similar train whistle as a kid with a much louder, clearer sound, and was much easier to use. I think this one could be difficult for some younger kids to get a satisfying sound

Overall, this is an easy-to-use devise to imitate a train whistle. My one observation: the whistle does not quite live up to the advertised ability to achieve four different tones. Changing the tone requires one to block off the beveled exhaust holes in the mouthpiece. The problem is the beveling results in an incomplete closing off a hole. Closing one hole is no problem, but closing off two or three results in a strangled sound. I’m happy using the whistle to produce a single tone, but I wouldn’t count on producing more than one additional tone

My son-in-law is a train nut, so he absolutely loved the whistle! Works perfectly and has a true train sound and is sure to irritate my daughter, which is amusing in itself..lol Perfect size made of solid wood, so it is very durable and would be fun for kids to play with. Good price for a fun novelty gift to play with.

Got this train whistle for my son. He’s currently into Thomas and train stuff. Easy for him to use and he loves it. Sounds like the real thing. Lightweight, good size and simple looking design. Overall very happy with it. Just hope he isn’t blowing this whistle throughout the night.
