Because this one tastes great, it has a strong matcha flavor, smooth & bitter, which is expected to enjoy (just add sweetner!). A drawback is of course the price! And its super fine so im careful to try to get all the powder that gets stuck on the spoon.

Some people overdo it, and it can make you jittery and even sick if you use too much. I only use little less than a teaspoon per serving (or cup). It is true though that this is the best-tasting matcha I have tried so far. I purchased the superior ceremonial blend, which is a good value for the price. I would highly recommend this matcha for newcomers and those who don’t have much experience with matcha. The color is also excellent. Many times I have ordered matcha in the past and it was too murky, but the Naoki brand is a bright green and smells very good too. It is my favorite and I am very pleased with it!

I’ve also tried another well known popular affordable matcha (Jade Leaf) and I immediately decided it is better to splurge accouple more dollars in purchasing Naoki. The texture of the powder is extremely fine. The color is a beautiful dark vibrant green. The flavor is very light with a very low bitterness and a hint of sweetness on its own. It has a very clean taste. However, the flavor does get easily over shadowed by milk and sweetners in a latte. If you want to taste the matcha better you need to add more matcha powder (~4.5 grams). Considering the fact that I am not drinking Matcha traditionally, I do not need a flavor profile that is super complex like what other matcha enthusiasts rave about (often times their recs are super overpriced for its size and/or hard to get). I just need something that will be paired well when used with milk and sweetners. I look for matcha with good quality, affordability, and easy accessibility to repurchase (via Prime adds extra brownie points). Yes, it’s pricey, but the quality shows. The flavor is smooth, not bitter, and it actually tastes good on its own. I drink it with milk, cold, warm, or just straight with hot water, and it works in all of those. It blends really well too — no clumps, especially if you use a frother.

I switched from mixing healthy real cream ( divine x 10) to eating quality 70-100 percent dark chocolate with it to double the superfood benefits. Unfortunately an expert said using dairy with matcha reduces the absorption of the health properties in matcha (like preventing cancer and much more). Something about the casein in the dairy encapsulates the health properties, this reducing the ability to absorb all the health benefits of matcha. It doesn’t fully block it from being absorbed. But it does greatly reduce it. I’m not an expert. I’m simply sharing this info. Also it’s a breath bright green! So it’s very fresh!

The product is a high quality one, and deserving of a “5,” but company’s manner of communicating key details about it takes away from it.
Example: The product’s bag indicates its Expiration Date, but fails to show its Manufacturing Date. Because of this, buyers cannot easily tell “how old the product is”–how long it’s been on the “Shelf.” This is especially important for products like Matcha Green Tea, given that its natural compounds are very sensitive and can easily degrade. So Man- ufacturing Date could give a clue as to how long it’s been sitting on the shelf.

Some people overdo it, and it can make you jittery and even sick if you use too much. I only use little less than a teaspoon per serving (or cup). It is true though that this is the best-tasting matcha I have tried so far. I purchased the superior ceremonial blend, which is a good value for the price. I would highly recommend this matcha for newcomers and those who don’t have much experience with matcha. The color is also excellent. Many times I have ordered matcha in the past and it was too murky, but the Naoki brand is a bright green and smells very good too. It is my favorite and I am very pleased with it!

This matcha is excellent. I’ve been going down a bit of a matcha rabbit hole lately, trying pretty much every “ceremonial grade” I can find on Amazon, and this one really stands out. I guess I’m officially a little snobby now, but once you try good matcha, there’s no going back.
Yes, it’s pricey, but the quality shows. The flavor is smooth, not bitter, and it actually tastes good on its own. I drink it with milk, cold, warm, or just straight with hot water, and it works in all of those. It blends really well too — no clumps, especially if you use a frother.
It feels like one of those products where you immediately understand why it costs more. If you’re serious about matcha (or on your way to becoming annoying about it like me), this one is absolutely worth trying.

Best smooth matcha vs. the latte ones I used to purchase that tasted sweeter but wasn’t purely matcha. It was a lighter green and had less matcha. Love this brand and love this one. Not bitter and much more creamier and pleasureable.
