I bought this as a gift for my mother-in-law, who has a centrally-located desk at her work with lots of people passing by. She’s always looking for fun things to jazz up her desk, so I got this for her! It’s a great desk (or table) ornament that seems to serve its purpose well! Here are the highlights:
*APPEARANCE: I spent a good while browsing through various mini-zen garden options before finding this one, and it’s my favorite by far! I like the hexagonal shape and the stark white-sand-on-black-border contrast. I also really like the little props that come with the set. The mini-gazebo is really cute and the (fake) succulent adds a nice splash of green. It looks great!
*FUN/THERAPEUTIC: If you’ve never had the chance to take a mini-rake to some zen sand, you’re missing out and probably underestimating just how entrancing it can be. It’s really fun to make pattern after pattern, sweeping them away when you’ve finished. Give it a try!
*PRICE: This zen garden is the best-priced one that I found. There were several more expensive ones that seemed to offer about the same thing, but with different materials or on a larger scale. I didn’t need anything super big or fancy, and this really did the trick. It’s a great buy!
All told, I’m really pleased with this purchase and can recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their desk or home. Happy gardening!

One who has never been to a beach or a tropical paradise, this set is soothing and truly relaxing. My wife purchased this as an Easter gift and we both find each other feeling the sand. “Just because”; yes just because. Planning a trip for our anniversary, hopefully soon!

The item was 100% ac pictured and to the specs provided. A few days after receiving it, of course I found something identical at a store for about 2/3 the price but still happy with the purchase. My son and I both stop and move the sand to relieve stress.

I work in a high call volume center, using this pad helps me get lost for a couple seconds between calls. The rocks were kinda lame so I went to Petsmart and got some 2 dollar bags of rocks and coincidentally the fine sand that came with it spilled so I also bought really fine gravel (it’s not sand) for the bottom. All in all it’s not a bad purchase and it’s a good conversation piece. If price is a problem they have something similar, albeit not hexagonal, in 5 Below
