Ninja is my preferred brand when purchasing appliances. The brand has consistently proven reliable. The Ninja Pods & Grounds Specialty continues to fuel my love of Ninja products. It is primarily used as a coffee maker that is easy to use, fits under the cabinet space on the countertop, cleaning is easy, and most importantly, the coffee is delicious! The large water reservoir eliminates the need for daily refills (dependent upon how much beverage one makes in a day),and is easy to refill. Brew time is quick and the coffee is hot and delicious! I have had other brands of k-cup style brewers that did not last and were not build like the Ninja. Lastly, the colors choices available are a plus. The sage green is really pretty and matches my kitchen decor. Imho, this is the brand to purchase.

Ninja’s practice regarding shipping of accessory or replacement parts has been a disappointing experience. The brew basket that came with my coffee maker has a spring-loaded flow valve secured with a small gasket. This came apart after a washing but was easily reassembled. A new brew basket was ordered just to have on hand. The price is $16.99. Unfortunately, the only shipping option offered by Ninja to ship to Alaska was via UPS ground service with a shipping cost of $100.00 (one hundred dollars). Unwilling to spend this amount, the item was shipped to a friend in Pennsylvania. From there, it was sent via USPS priority mail to me in Alaska at a cost of $15.70 (fifteen dollars and seventy cents). I did contact Ninja and spoke with their representative who confirmed the shipping process. He did write an escalation ticket for review by his management team. Sadly, Ninja is not the only company who views shipping to Alaska as an ‘international’ shipment.

To return the machine is very costly, the cost of sending mine back was around £60. Amazon don’t want to know about returning the machine, they just send you a label to print off and that’s it. I can’t understand why Amazon sell items on the market place that don’t comply with British voltage.

I bought the XL version about one month ago to replace a Keurig, which was the only I had used. I LOVE this coffee maker. I have not had any problems with the Ninja at all. The attached frother is a nice touch as is the rich roast option and the speciality coffee options. I’ll address the few negative reviews that I have read. The K Cups do not explode if you push them down until you hear a click. I’m not saying that it did not happen to some people, but if you push it down all the way it would resolve the issue. I also don’t have an issue with the water temperature, I find the water temperature to be the same as the Keurig. Its sleek design is also nice as it does not take up a lot of counter space. The variety of colors the Ninja Coffee maker is offered in, is also a plus as you can match it to your kitchen color scheme. It’s easy to operate and gives you many options to brew your coffee your way. I noticed that it is also currently on sale. If you have been unsure of whether to purchase a machine other than Keurig , I would highly recommend that you purchase this Ninja Coffee Maker. I purchased the XL for the extra water capacity . Again, even the Xl has a sleek design and does not take up much counter space. It also stores the coffee ground holder in a compartment in the coffee maker, as well as a coffee scoop. This will be long, bear with me. I’m not a huge coffee drinker until the cooler weather starts, but I’ve had the craving lately. I’ve had Keurigs and Nespressos, and they each have their pros and cons. Keurigs for availability of pods but lack of taste, Nespresso for excellent taste but proprietary pods, and both usually take up quite a bit of space. As you can see from my picture (ignore the mess, this was right after a cooking session), my counter space is VERY limited, which brings me to why I keep getting rid of every machine I’ve had: I just simply don’t have the room for the nicer machines, and hate the taste of the cheaper ones.
But this Ninja coffee maker? Oh, it’s the best of ALL worlds. We have several Ninja appliances and already trust the brand to be well made and worth any price. This is no different.
The fact that you can use K-Cups or regular coffee grounds for single use is great, and the frother option included? Comes in a bunch of various colors? Is compact and easy to clean? Could you really ask for anything more out of a coffee maker?
Of course, just to be sure of my purchase, I read other reviews before buying. One person wrote that this entire machine was made with love, and I could not agree more.
Every single aspect of this machine was thought of, and that was clear down to the way it was packaged.
Everything is meant to fit on the machine at all times, and has space saving options (like when either the K cup spot vs grounds spot is being used, the other is utilized for storing parts for the other), and everything goes together neatly. You honestly don’t even need directions on setting it up, because everything just makes sense and is clearly labeled.
You can brew regular strength, rich, over ice, and espresso, all perfectly measured and ridiculously quick to brew (and at the perfect temperature!!).
I had several K cups ready to go and was eager to see if there was really a difference that people noted in their reviews, and there was. Normally, K Cups taste extremely watered down and just… Bland to me. But the way this machine equally disperses the water through the cup ensures you get an actual good brew of coffee every single time. Even pods I’ve tried in my old machine and wasn’t fond of immediately tasted better in this one.
I have yet to use the regular grounds on our machine, but I have no doubt it’d be easy to use. Nor have I used the frother, but I did a mock trial of it just to make sure I wouldn’t mess something up and it was simple to execute and to take apart afterwards when you’d need to clean. Everything just goes right back onto the machine afterwards.
Truly, every little thing you could have qualms with other machines, this one has thought of. It is simple, elegant, and so easy to use.

Firstly, the brewed coffee that the Ninja pods & grounds makes is phenomenal for a single serve coffee maker! A kcup is only as good as a the brand of kcup, no machine will rectify that.
I have had a classic Keurig for years. It works fine. Once in awhile it gets clogged and I have to take the top casing off to prime the water tube and then its back in action. I started to look for a new slimmer keurig with good water capacity which landed me on this Ninja. I have other Ninja products and they preform well enough. I sifted through a lot of reviews. The one that stands out is the guy (I assume) who points out all of the things to do right to be successful using this machine. They pointed out to follow the directions of priming the machine first and to press the kcup down to snap it in before closing the lid to brew (which helps so that your kcups aren’t exploding). Also, double check your cups to make sure they aren’t damaged before using (this is solid advice for any kcup machine).
I will say that when I first added water to the tank and sat it down there was some initial leaking. So, I was afraid I had gotten a leaker. But, I continued with priming it and then made my first kcup. There has been no leaking since, so it must have been that first set up needed to seal the gaskets. It was easy enough once you figured out what went where. The selection process is easy enough too.
I like a rich flavored coffee. The kcup was meh. But that’s to be expected as I’ve got a generic brand. No machine will fix the taste of a cheap kcup. Darn.
Oh well, the 2nd cup I brewed was with ground beans. I used a medium grind and 3 scoops to 10oz on the rich setting. It was so good! I could probably choose 12oz and still have a great brewed rich coffee.
I took a few photos of the brewer to show the Glacier Blue. I think the color is very sleek. The water tank is crystal clear and the tank is small, but holds a lot of water (more than my classic keurig).
I will add that the coffee brewing basket is nice but not super easy or quick to clean, so I’m going to get some of the paper filters suggested by other reviewers. Its worth noting that the coffee can drip for a bit after its done brewing, so if you’re in a hurry, you’ll have more dripping after a brew which will be collected in the drip tray. I just leave my mug there for every drop. The drip tray is adjustable for different height sizes of cups and mugs. This is helpful to keep coffee splatter to a minimal.
Also, the unit features a built in auto shut-off – no extra button to push for it to work!
Since the Ninja pods & grounds is new to me and I haven’t used it much, I will update the review if anything changes.

After 15ish years of owning Keurig coffee machines, including replacing the last 3 in less than five years, we knew it was time to break up with the brand and try a different one that was compatible with our reusable pods. The Ninja PB051SG Coffee Maker caught my eye because of the price, compact size and design, and colour options. It also has adequate size options and brew styles, perfect for the two of us.
We’ve only been using this coffee maker for a month, but it’s far exceeded my expectations and if it continues, Ninja will be my new brand.

This product just came today and I started using it right away. It is very space friendly and talk about ease of use! Everyone will be able to use this product as it is a breeze! As for the performance and taste of the coffee that comes from this machine, great tasting coffee. The milk frother is excellent! The K-pods work great in this machine. It takes seconds to heat the water and about a minute to brew you an 8 oz cup of coffee. I have a Ninja foodie, a Ninja Blender and now this coffee machine. I did a lot of research on different coffee makers before deciding on this one. I am so glad I purchased this product! It’s well-made and I love how slender it is and doesn’t take that much room on my coffee bar. It’s very sturdy and stable. The temperature of the hot water is perfect. You can make different types of coffee and the built-in frother on the side is a huge plus. It works great and is easy to remove for cleaning. It’s a great quality coffee maker and I use it several times a day to make different types of coffee.

I love it !!!!! I love it ! Works great is fast and coffee comes hot hot as it should. Taste is great even is fast in my opinion it takes enough time to not waste the quality of my coffee beans that for sure!
The variety of sizes is an excellent idea that works great. Easy to work it no double pressing buttons and difficult meters to read or stupid screen no! Very easy and looks pretty on my counter. Color I chose is green and super cute tone of green.

So much better than the other single k-cup pod coffee makers I have used. Controls are clear and well thought out, with simple dedicated buttons to switch style and size, and to initiate brewing or a cleaning cycle. Displays, including a prgress bar, are suer intuitive.
The rich setting makes better, stronger coffee from pods than I have had with other single serve machines.
Ability to use ground coffee – using a basket which stores cleverly in the device – is fantastic. I use with small filter paper cups designed for this device to ease cleanup and also to capture some of the oils in coffee that I have heard can have negative health effects. I easily switch between pods and ground coffee all the time.
After months of use, I am still super pleased with this machine.

My Krueig’s keep breaking after a couple years, they take long to brew, and so I switched to NINJA. I’m so happy I did. This machine is so much better. Easy to set up and get running. Directions are clear, but you hardly need directions, and the coffee brews so quickly. there are so many choices of how you want your coffee prepared, not to mention iced coffee as a choice. I love the frother. Best coffee maker.

Algunas cosas que recomiendo verificar si planeas comprarla: Primero, es importante hacer un primer ciclo de preparación sin café antes de usarla por primera vez para limpiar el sistema interno. Wow! The fact that I can choose my strength of my coffee with a coffee pod is amazing! I love rich strong coffee! The Ninja did not disappoint!
The temperature is consistent! The size is correct.
I can’t tell you why? But this coffee maker uses less water than my Keurig!
The frother on the side is great! It does what it is supposed to do! Very handy!
It brews a cup in about 2 minutes from hitting the brew button!

The coffee machine is very good but beware in Britain the voltage for the machine is 120 volts and in Britain we are 240 volt. To return the machine is very costly, the cost of sending mine back was around £60. Amazon don’t want to know about returning the machine, they just send you a label to print off and that’s it. I can’t understand why Amazon sell items on the market place that don’t comply with British voltage.

The Ninja PB051SG Coffee Maker caught my eye because of the price, compact size and design, and colour options. It also has adequate size options and brew styles, perfect for the two of us.
We’ve only been using this coffee maker for a month, but it’s far exceeded my expectations and if it continues, Ninja will be my new brand.

This is a well engineered machine. It has storage for its accessories, is very compact, and actually makes coffee at closer to the proper temperature. I measured about 180 degrees whereas my Kurig was 155. This definitely makes for better quality and smoother tasting coffee.
This machine does make better coffee than a Kurig machine. However, it Does Not make true espresso or cappuccino. You can come close by using the 4oz feature and the frother works fine, but just don’t expect true espresso shots.
Nonetheless, it’s a good compromise. Get the same convenience as a Kurig, but with better tasting coffee approaching coffee shop quality.
The regular drip basket (non pod) is a copper filter, so it will not add a metallic taste. It will make up to 24 oz of coffee which is really just two large mugs worth, but it is capable of very strong brew.
If you are concerned about microplastics produced by the heat on plastic pods as we are, then use the metal pods available on Amazon with your own brand of coffee and grind your own for the best results.

I love this coffeemaker! It fits well on my countertop and looks good. It makes great coffee with either pods or my own coffee blend. The storage drawer is so handy for storing the adaptors. I have other Ninja products and they are all well designed and work great. Highly recommend!
