This is by far the worst product ever made. Completely waste of money as it doesn’t do a single thing. It looks great but very bad functionality and it’s small.

Did not work as advertised. Seemed impossible to suck air through. Did not help at all nor did it curve the need for smoking

I’ve been looking for natural ways to support my breathing, and this necklace really interested me with the concept. The minimalist style with natural amethyst stone also really appealed to me. Unfortunately, when I tried using it, I found it difficult to breathe through and overall confusing.

The necklace airway feels very constricted and it doesn’t guide breath in a way that feels helpful. I was expecting something more like a silent breathwork whistle, but this one left me very confused and unsure how you can use this thing properly. The silver packages say no additives, but it leaves me feeling unsure of what is in it exactly. The directions were hard to read and further confused me. I love how this necklace looks, but it’s one I sadly can’t wear.

I get the concept of the breathe free necklace, but it doesn’t make sense because when you’re smoking your inhaling items and this wants you to inhale on your own but exhale through the breath free necklace. That doesn’t make sense to me. It is pretty and really good quality even the chain that it comes with and and it’s easy to use, but it kind of defeats the purpose of trying to help someone stop smoking because you’re only exhaling through the necklace not inhaling as well as you would with cigarettes or vapes..

Update: I love this thing. I have been going through a hard time lately, and I was able to instead of aggressively breathing in and out. I was able to control my breaths out, which helped me calm down a lot faster. Get one now.

The Breathe Free necklace with filter arrived very well packaged containing the device plus two extra cores and a felt bag.

I get the whole idea of the breathing thing. I’ve done breathing exercises for some time now and this does make the breathing part easier. It will help you control the exhale by funneling it through the device. It’s good for calming, meditation and even right before bed to get you in a more relaxed state. In that aspect, it’s quite good.

The quitting vaping/cigarettes aspect, it falls WAY short in all aspects, but one. The restricted draw when breathing in with the device is where it comes close to a cigarette draw or SaltNic vape device. That’s good. However, if you wanted to use it to quit smoking, it’s not going to happen. Most smokers or vapers like the “lung hit”. That’s the sensation of the smoke/vapor entering the lungs. If you wanted to improve this, making cores that contain a delicate mint may do the trick. Some sort of flavor vs just inhaling dry cotton. The hand to mouth not so much either because the device is so small. If it were closer to the length of a cigarette, it would work better.

Something I tried which defeats the whole purpose is I took one of the cores and got a zero nicotine strong mint juice. I didn’t over saturate it because I don’t want to inhale the juice, but I was trying to make a cool feeling. It worked! However that too was short lived because you have to keep dripping ejuice on it.

All in all, if you wanted this for breathing exercises, you have a winner. Other than that, not so much. I didn’t give it 4 stars for the breathing portion but it can’t earn 5 stars until it can mimic a vape hit.

I ordered this after seeing a small clip on social media for using with meditation.
It is a very small well made device that is simple to use.

The instructions with the pack say that you can use it either inhaling or exhaling through the tube.
Each one has it’s purpose depending what you are trying to do.

When I find myself getting would up at work, I sit back and inhale through the tube while meditating..
The resistance from the “filter” does slightly inhibit the airflow, allowing you to slow your breaths.

I did not have any issues using it, and the filters are very easy to change out when needed.
The necklace chain is very nicely made, and does not irritate the skin when worn.
There are no sharp bits that get caught up on clothing.

There is a small silicone ring that attached the unit to the necklace.
It is long enough for easy access, or dropping inside your shirt if you do not want it visible.

Overall, it works for me for meditation.
Not sure if it works for smoking cessation.

I absolutely love this breathing necklace. I never thought id need one but it helps me focus on my breathing during my anxiety attacks. The coldness of the obsidian part helps me relax more. The quality of this breathing necklace is amazing, its sturdy and easy to use. Very helpful, I used to use a drinking cup with a straw to help me breathe and this makes it so much easier to carry around my neck every and anywhere. Very convenient in use and value for the product. Comes with 2 pouches with 3 extra filter refills in each.

I’m guessing this is much more appropriate for those trying to quit smoking with the mimicking of the motions etc. For me though, I was hoping for help on the anxiety and stress side of the claims and honestly I’m just not noticing much of a difference. It’s a gorgeous piece and seems to be made from good quality materials, so on that end of things I definitely give it kudos. I’m just not sure that it’s a great tool for those of us who aren’t looking to quit smoking. I think I might give this to my FIL who is a smoker though, maybe it will help him cut down on his consumption of cigarettes (not that he’s expressed interest in quitting, but maybe it will help him cut back some this winter when it’s so cold outside)

I vape. A lot. I like vaping. The only reason I want to quit is because it’s ridiculously expensive. I’d looked into getting a FÜM, but those things cost almost as much as my bad habit—which sort of defeats the purpose.

Enter this little breathing necklace. The draw isn’t adjustable, but it’s tight enough to mimic the pull of a narrow vape or cigarette, which is exactly what I needed. I haven’t kicked the vape entirely (sometimes you just need the actual vapor), but I have noticeably cut back. When it’s really just about the hand-to-mouth habit and that deep inhale/exhale rhythm, this scratches the itch beautifully.

The included “filters” are unflavored—bit of a bummer—but I might experiment with a drop of peppermint or clove oil to jazz them up. It comes with two packs of two filters plus one already loaded. The necklace itself is long, comfortable, and the little rubber ring keeps the breathing tube secure without making it a pain to remove.

It’s also surprisingly handy for stress relief and box breathing. I work from home with two wildly energetic kids, so mindfulness tools aren’t optional—they’re survival gear. The inhale resistance forces you to slow down and actually think about your breathing. The metal feels smooth, sits nicely between your lips, and the stone is both pretty and solid.

If you’re trying to quit (or just cut down) and want something that feels good to use, this is a fantastic, affordable tool. Bonus: it looks cool enough that no one realizes it’s basically therapy jewelry.

I’m really happy with this breathing necklace because it genuinely helps me slow down and relax. The build quality feels solid and the design looks clean enough to wear every day. It gives a smooth, steady exhale that makes calming down way easier, whether I’m at home or out. Overall, it’s a simple tool that actually works and has become something I use all the time.

Beware of the keyword trap! I was looking for items to help with anxiety attacks, and this came up in my search results. It wasn’t until after I gave it to my brother for Christmas that we realized it’s really for someone who’s trying to quit smoking! Of course that’s on me for not reading the reviews super closely, but it wasn’t obvious from the main product description that this wasn’t also just a way to focus breathing during a panic attack. I have no idea if this would work for somebody trying to quit smoking! But overall it’s small and easy to store and my brother doesn’t mind having it hanging in his house even though it’s useless.

I had a breathing necklace once that I loved. I used it constantly. I took it off at a family member’s house and left it there by accident years ago, and I’ve been trying to replace it ever since.

I had good feelings about this one. Even when I unpacked it and started looking at it, I love the design of it. The stone is smooth and cool to the touch until it’s been worn for a while, then it warms up perfectly against the skin. The heft is good, and it feels welcoming in the hand.

Then I really dug down. I do not understand the point to the filter. It’s just a dry filter. What is it supposed to be filtering? Why would we want something that would absorb moisture, that we are meant to breathe through, but which cannot be cleaned? I took it out.

I also felt uncomfortable with a metal mesh that I’m supposed to breathe through. Are we sure that no metal will ever get accidentally inhaled? How do we clean it? The instructions state by soaking it in water with baking soda. That doesn’t sound like any cleaning method that I’ve ever heard of. I took that out, too. Now I feel more secure and safe in using it, and more confident that I can clean it properly with soap and water.

Now the sole problem is that the hole drilled through it is too small. It whistles. Seriously. I have to breathe very slowly and cautiously, or it attracts attention and really upsets my cat. I don’t think it’s supposed to whistle. It isn’t a particularly tuned note. It’s just a hole that’s too small.

It is one of the more aesthetically pleasing breathing necklaces that I’ve tried, beyond a doubt. I just don’t think that it’s for me.
