I’m not much of a tea drinker (OK, I hate most teas), but I got hooked on Chinese restaurant tea (mostly black tea, which I have to avoid because they’re not good if you get kidney stones) and searched for something close enough to satisfy me. Numi Tea is a great tea vendor, and I love their Jasmine Green Tea. The Jasmine Pearls are a step up, and I indulge in them once or twice a week as the Pearls are a bit more expensive. Numi avoids pesticides and microplastics, and they’re reasonably priced compared to other high end tea purveyors. I do recommend them.

I’ve consumed two full pounds of Numi Organic Gunpowder Green tea before writing this review. I found this product to be flavorful and really appreciated the fact that it’s organic. I’m not normally an “organic” type, but considering the amount of tea I was drinking, combined with the nature of tea being steeped leaves, I figured it’s a smart safeguard. I do prefer the flavor of Twinings Gunpowder over the Numi Organic, but for the health safeguards and price per ounce differences, I was happy with Numi. I will admit that I noticed a difference in flavor between my first and second pounds of this tea. Given the number of variables in growing and processing tea, I’m not surprised, nor disappointed enough take a star away from my vote. HOWEVER, just prior to ordering my third pound of tea I stumbled into the Fluoride discussion by accident. Long story short, after about two weeks of research (both internet and books) I’m done with tea of any color. This is a personal decision and I won’t try to sway anyone’s opinions, but feel I owe the world’s tea drinkers a free heads-up since someone extended the courtesy to me. I LOVE tea, and never imagined in a million years that I’d quit drinking it————especially green, since it’s loaded with polyphenols (antioxidants), and is therefore deemed “healthy” if Fluoride is taken out of the equation. So if you like a green tea, Numi Organic Gunpowder is a great value, excellent quality, and I would be drinking my third pound by now.

Numi is one of my favourite tea brands. I love their Numi Organic Moroccan Mint. I used to buy the non bulk version, pre-packaged in tea bags. This bulk bag is enormous and it will last for a very long time. The bag is 16 ounces. It’s “made from pure, 100% natural and Organic Certified Moroccan “Nana” mint. Certified Organic, Kosher and Halal. Our Moroccan mint has a bright vibrant flavor that tastes like a fresh picked leaf. Completely pure and natural, its refreshing spear-minty taste is a soothing all-day or after-dinner delight.” There are no other ingredients, just pure organic Moroccan “Nana” mint. This is a herbal tea, I can enjoy this anytime. I usually like to have a cup of herbal tea after dinner. Moroccan mint is great for digestion. This mint tea is not very minty though. The mint is very subtle and not strong like peppermint, the taste is actually quite sweet. The loose leaf is very tiny in size, so you need a pretty good mesh tea ball infuser. Numi’s pricing is a bit higher but you are buying a trustworthy premium product. If you’re an avid tea drinker, I would highly recommend buying bulk.

First off you might think 3.8 isn’t a very high rating but I’m pretty picky about tea. The taste is good and value is amazing. The bag is huge and will last a long time. It looses points because there is the odd twig that can be found in the bag. Also the mint leaves are rather destroyed. I have a really good fine mesh strainer that can pretty much get ride of any powder residue. With this tea though I will do a cold rinse followed buy a hot rinse before I add the water and steep it. There is still quite a bit of residue left over. Perhaps if you put it in a tea bag this will fix the problem. Maybe I will try this and update my review. I’m sure I will put it bags for a nice cold brew. I would recommend people try it out. If you are really put off l by loose tea debris maybe look for a higher quality loose leaf somewhere else.

Gorgeous, soft taste, invigorating. Don’t forget to eat something before. I practice scooping the tea leaves out with a spoon, not too much trouble after a while. I alternate sips with little raw honey+raw chocolate balls I make, tastes brilliant. Wonderful in the morning when I need to get going but don’t want to turn into a bug-eyed psycho with coffee.
Update: 11/29/2024 – Not sure what happened to my last update but I’ll add it here. Found a piece of what looks like colored packing material for rice in my cup after I’d made tea, very uncomfortable and no idea what’s in it if it’s toxic. Hope this doesn’t happen again. Also, more recently have been finding a LOT more stems in packages, hope you can stay on top of this.
Update: 12/24/2024 – Pleasantly surprised. Company jumped right on it and gave me a refund. Not many companies you find these days step right up to take responsibility!

For me it is economical and very good but it doesn’t have the strong jasmine taste like the Numi tea bag. I love the mild jasmine flavor and the smell of the jasmine in the tea bag. Also, loose leaf tea requires you to get the amount right. I am still working on getting it just right. I tend to drink more tea when using the loose leaf than when using the tea bag. The loose leaf is convenient for many cups. The tea bag has the stronger jasmine flavor and is convenient when in a hurry. I use both. In general this is the best tasting affordable Green tea I have found.

I had been using spearmint tea bags 2x daily for the reduction of hormonal acne. After multiple times repurchasing 16 bags for $5 from my local grocery store, I realized there had to be a more cost effective alternative. I searched Amazon and came across this. 1 pound of loose leaf spearmint tea, I couldn’t beat the price! When it arrived I was amazed at the size of the bag! It was easily twice as big as I had expected in my head. This will last me ages! I brew a full teapot, use a loose leaf steeper ball full of this tea, and then transfer the tea to a pitcher and store in the fridge. This is a much easier and more convenient way for me to ensure I drink 2 cups per day. I have seen a significant reduction in my hormonal acne since beginning this regime. It’s been close to 2
months so far. The tea tastes delicious, light, very slightly minty. I often mix it with a small amount of fresh squeezed lemonade for an easy and refreshing Spearmint Tea Lemonade! Highly recommend purchasing this large bag of spearmint tea if you’ve been using it for hormonal acne – it’s definitely the best bang for your buck! Or if you just can’t get enough spearmint tea, this is a delicious option and I think I enjoy it more than the expensive organic spearmint tea bags I was getting at the grocery store! 10/10

This is an excellent quality Jasmine Green Tea, at a fairl price. You can tell this came from a very good, organic garden, managed by people with expertise in crafting Jasmine Tea. To get the best out of this tea, as with most Jasmine, short steeps of 2 minutes or even under will give a wonderful sweet delicacy to the tea,, completely taming the slight astringent bitterness of the green tea.
And the company is as good as the tea. The questions that I asked them about this tea were answered promptly, and with openness and a desire to help. They take pride in doing things right, and I’m eager to try other of their teas.

I’m not a tea expert; so I can’t really say how fresh, the look, the scent and flavor of loose leaf green teas are really supposed to be properly. However, this is my first loose leaf green tea product purchased, after having various tea bag green teas from the local grocery store for soo long. This just tastes much better than all those in tea bags, and I can’t go back to tea bags anymore.
Now, this Numi green tea for the price of a 16 ounces bag at $20 (whereas other green tea brands are costing from $15 and up for a bag of 3-4 ounces,) is clearly the best value. Furthermore, this is organic and fair trade certified. Just more pluses for this brand. You don’t see that fair trade certification in many other more expensive premium brands. I’m hoping other brands are not employing less than satisfactory work environments.
Nonetheless, green tea (or any tea, in general) aren’t the best tasting; but, this green tea still tastes a whole lot better than any black coffee. I don’t add any sugar or honey and still able to drink 4-5 cups a day of this Numi tea. I’m drinking for the benefits, right? It actually taste quite clean and smooth with no bitterness whatever.

I bought this bag of tea leaves when I began my obsession with making Jasmine Milk Teas at home. It has allowed me to make several teas for a very small fraction of the price that I would pay in store.
When it comes to price, I think the price per ounce is unbeatable. I searched for a while and was unable to find any boxes of teabags that were priced any better.
Next, this bag has beautiful floral notes. You open the bag and it smells amazing. The leaves steep well. I think this might be the tastiest Jasmine Tea I’ve had. The bags come with directions on steeping – with guidance on time and quantity.
Great tea leaves for tea lovers. Excited to try the other teas they have available.
