It applies evenly. It’s a thick formula and will get on your teeth easily. It doesn’t dry down. It leaves a faint very unnoticeable stain. Doesn’t wear long at all. It’s beautiful when applied and is very glossy. It lasts as long as any other gloss. Not long at all. It feels good, but I wouldn’t say it’s hydrating properties extend beyond the initial application. If I wasn’t told it’s supposed to stain, I wouldn’t have noticed. That’s how much it stains.

I bought the NYX Professional Makeup Lip IV Hydrating Gloss Stain in Blush Rush after borrowing a friend’s for a wedding, and I absolutely love it. The shade is flattering and versatile, with a beautiful wet-shine finish that looks polished without feeling heavy or sticky.
It’s very comfortable to wear and genuinely hydrating, thanks to the vitamins and coconut water. The pigment is impressive, and even after the gloss fades, there’s a soft stain that lasts for hours.
It’s such a hit that now my daughter uses it too. Definitely a favorite in our house and something I’d happily repurchase.

I usually dislike lipgloss, and bought this because I wanted a stain that didn’t feel as dry as some do. But the gloss is also fantastic — it doesn’t have that sticky feel, it doesn’t attract hair, and it feels so incredibly hydrating from the minute I put it on. It does very slightly feather into my vertical wrinkles around my mouth (they are fairly deep, since I’m nearly fifty and smoked most of my life), but nothing near as much as other glossy lipsticks and glosses, and I have to really examine myself up close to even notice. If I wipe off the gloss after ten minutes to just wear the stain, it doesn’t look like it went into those lines at all.
The stain lasts me about 8 hours (depending on what I eat — greasy things will ofc remove it faster), but I honestly want to reapply the gloss at that point anyway. It also comes off evenly — I haven’t had the issue of color staying bright and solid all around my lips, but being gone in the middle.
The smell (and taste) is similar to coconut oil — faint coconut, and very “natural” — not the cloying fake coconut smell you get in some cosmetics.
With its being so hydrating (I feel it work better than most of my lip care products, including the famous LaNeige lip sleeping mask — and yeah, I tried putting it on before bed, and the glossy look and hydrating feeling were still there the next morning), and so versatile, I think this is about the best value for your money you can get.
Small downside: the color swatches don’t feel super accurate — even those where they show all colors on different skin tones. I expected this to be a bit more muted and more pink, and instead this color ended up being bright red, like a true bright red lip, which is a bit less wearable. The stain is fine, but also veers red. I have pale olive skin, and my lips aren’t very naturally colored, so any stain definitely shows up bright, and that’s fine, but a red lip isn’t always the best choice for a daytime look, so I wish the name and the swatches would be a little more accurate. I will be buying more colors, though, cause I love it just that much.

I thought it might be because of my natural lip color, but when I compared the product on the applicator wand with the pictures, the actual product does not have the hint of “spice” color I was expecting. When applied, it made my lips look a bit dead. Lol. So if you’re looking for a neutral color that’s slightly on the cooler side, this might work. The scent is very light, with just a hint of coconut. There’s not much staying power. I do like the texture and how it feels on my lips — hydrating, smooth, and pigmented — not very sticky. I just wish the actual color matched the photos.

Beautiful colour but the lip stain is not very dark (very very light). The lip stain also does not last all day, even if it is not wiped off and kept on as a gloss. Other shades in this brand do last a bit longer and stain better if that is what you want it for. This particular shade is a beautiful gloss colour regardless and it feels very smooth and hydrating on your lips!

I really like this NYX lip stain and will definitely buy it again. As you can see in the pictures, both the initial glossy color and the “stain” tint are very flattering, even though they’re basically two completely different shades.
This product goes on smoothly, it’s got a slick feel, rather than a sticky one. It also feels a bit thick but that’s basically all lip glosses. It’s brilliantly shiny and leaning toward the brownish side (as a 90s girlie, I love a brownish lip!) at first and then over the course of a couple of hours of light wear (I sipped on a drink while wearing it) it’s wears down to a nice rosy tint that’s got a more natural vibe, but def still looks like you’re wearing lip color.

I love the NYX lip stain! This is my second one. The only complaint is that they seem to leave my lips drier. So I try to let it dry down and use chapstick or lip balm over it. Overall though, the color is so pretty, the texture is good, it dries down pretty quick and leaves a tint on for hours. It doesn’t seem to last all day, but I’d say a good 3-4, maybe 5 hours. The colors are beautiful! I’ve had this one and the bubblegum!

It does come off with eating and will slowly wear off from drinking water or other beverages . I love this product ! If you are looking for something long lasting, opaque and hydrating this is it .

Lipsticks are too drying for me so I wanted it to feel very comfortable on my lips and to hydrate them the color stays on for 4 to 6 hours and even then you still have the stain showing. It’s very hydrating and no sticky feeling. You could put on the lip and pat it off with tissue to reveal the stain. If that is all you want the stain is a much different tint than the lip color there is no special scent, which is fine with me because I tried to avoid scents because they are not good for you. It taste fine, like nothing. The applicator is nice and easy to use. You do habe to look and the mirror and make sure you are applying correctly because if you leave a gap it will be noticeable. I do wish that the color names were printed on the front of product instead of the removable barcode tag.

Love!!!!! Omg 1st the applicator that wand is the perfect shape for straight lines and holds a lot of product huge fan of that. 2nd the colors are amazing. Definitely my favorite is pedal pourin really close to my natural lip color. 3rd The gloss is definitely lip hydrating I have really big lips and it’s hard to keep my lips moisturized, but I’ve noticed that with this gloss my lips are hydrated at least eight hours of the day. When the gloss does rub off from eating or drinking, the stain on the lips is perfect and lips are still hydrated. I’m very impressed I’m a super huge fan of this product. definitely will keep buying more.

I really like the formula of this lip stain. It goes on smooth, feels hydrating, and gives a nice glossy finish without being too sticky. It last a really long time too!
The only thing to note is the shade. “Red-y Set Wet” looks more like a true red online, but on me it pulls more pink than expected. It’s still a pretty color, just not the classic red I was going for.
Overall, great product if you like a comfortable, glossy stain, just keep in mind the color may not be as red as it appears.

This product is actually really pleasing. I was skeptical at first because I was looking for a stain that doesn’t bleed. This isn’t listed as a stain but a gloss and has great reviews with stain quality. It provides great moisture with no bleeding effects 👏 Acts like a gloss then as the day goes and you drink fluids or have a smooch it softly blend out into a beautiful hydrated color. Still sticky at first because it is a gloss but only until it settles.
