I have been struggling trying to find a dark navy blue/black eyeliner with no results. I used to buy it from Esteé Lauder, and they stopped making it years ago. Oh what joy it was to FINALLY find one just like it with this wonderful product! It’s super dark blue/black color that wonderfully pigmented and goes on smooth. The price is so affordable. I absolutely love this eyeliner and have always found NYX products great!

I’ll do black liner, some shadow and mascara- swipe a thin line under my lower lashes. I love the subtle glittery shimmer. I’m middle aged and I need some sparkle! It’s subtle and interesting.
I will be buying this again. It’s attractive and interesting and I think it’s fun without being loud, clowny, glitter faced or juvenile.
I might try this in another color. So far, this color is great and the liner has good behavior.

Edit: bought 3 times. 2nd time lacked pigment, but they sent me a free replacement and it was good.
I got the NYX Mechnical Eyeliner in the onyx (black) shade. It is absolutely stunning! It is definitely washable, not waterproof. This is what I was seeking as I do not like using makeup remover and prefer for all my makeup to wash away in the shower with a gentle facial cleanser. I find that makeup removers can be harsh on skin and can tear some eyelashes out. The NYX eyeliner can smudge throughout the day, but it takes a LOT to smudge. I took two naps, had wind blown in my face, and planted a tree and it remained perfect on my oily eyeliner with no primer. It did not last as long on my waterline, but that’s to be expected, probably a few hours max.
I haven’t worn eyeliner in years now but I remembered recently that I really enjoyed applying it back in the day. I was shocked how easy it was to apply. I remember I used to use a product called Rimmel Scandal Eyes and this NYX eyeliner is incredible comparatively. It is so pigmented yet more smudge resistant. It glides on smoothly and is easy to shape. It is firm and does not seem like it will break.
I am very satisfied with this product and highly recommend to anyone looking for a very pigmented pencil eyeliner that is washable yet smudge resistant! Great price as well.

I was very excited about the rich, deep black in this product — just what I was looking for … until I discovered that it broke off starting with just the third time I used it! In addition, there just didn’t seem to be much of the product itself at all, inside the long pencil tube. Pretty much a waste of my money to be that small of a supply! I’m moving on to try another brand now. (Would have only given this one or two stars, but this page won’t let me give it less than three. Really!!??)

I really wanted to love this NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Vivid Rich Mechanical Eye Pencil because the color is beautiful and it applies very smoothly. However, I’m giving it 3 stars because it doesn’t stay put as well as I expected.
It tends to smudge after a few hours of wear, especially if you have slightly oily eyelids. While it’s great for a smoky look since it’s easy to blend, it’s not the best choice if you need a sharp, long-lasting line that stays all day. It’s a decent budget option, but I’ve used other mechanical pencils in this price range that have better staying power.

i don’t want to say it sucks completely bc it definitely lasts as u can see in the pic i drew a heart yesterday and it’s still kinda there. it sets quickly and when u rub it nothing comes off. i’m only giving it 3 stars bc it’s not comfortable on the eyes. i specifically bought this for my waterline and it irritated my eyes a bit and it faded after like 45 minutes. it also made them a little red and i was feeling dry. i use to use this gel liner but the label faded and i can’t find it so i just went for this one and im upset.
waste of money IN MY OPINION, not saying it sucks but everyone has their different uses for this it didn’t work for me personally.
i find it dumb how some makeup brands don’t make these type of crayon like eyeliner pencils WATERLINE SAFE/comfy as if most ppl didn’t use them IN their waterline. for winged liner almost everyone uses liquid liner so they should at least make these types suitable for ur damn waterline.
at least it was cheap so i’m not too mad i definitely won’t repurchase tho bc i wouldn’t really put this to use. buy if u want or dont just know its not waterline safe, it lasts outside ur eye 100% but it also sets fast so depending on how u do ur makeup it u will know if it works well for u or not

I bought the color Quartz Queen to use as a highlighter in the corner of my eyes and under brow area. I didn’t want to spend a lot for this purpose and expected it to do what it was supposed to… but WOW! This creamy formula goes on smooth, blended well, and the pencil thickness is great for precision. It applies well and you don’t need a lot of it (in reference to my specific application purpose). It gave me such an awake look, opened my eyes, and gave me some nice lift! I looked very tired today, too! If it helps anyone, I have warm light -medium skin and the color was beautiful, but I’d recommend to give it a try for other skin fair, light, or medium tones if you are looking for an eye/brow highlight effect. I’m going to be using this a lot to highlight. I’ve been impressed with NYX products I’ve tried recently.

I love Nyx eyeliner and they are some of the best options regardless of price. I love doing green eyeshadow and I love using a pop of color on the lower waterline to compliment the eyeshadow. This is a super creamy darker green color that looks amazing with brown eyes. I find it glides on super creamy and with no tugging, but is waterproof all day long with no smudging or budging. This does not need a sharpener, so you can just twist to make the point come up. I find that very easy for travel or on the go so you don’t need another item. I’ve had no issue with the component breaking or the eyeliner itself breaking off either. Colors are all great and saturated and work for any look you want to do.
