This is my new favorite shampoo. I’m getting older and my hair is thinning and I was finding I was losing more and more hair when I washed or brushes my hair. I decided to give this OGX a try. Nothing to lose right? I’ve noticed I have a lot less fall out since I started using this shampoo. It smells amazing and leaves my hair really clean with just one wash. I was skeptical at first that a shampoo would make a difference but it has. It’s all I use anymore. It’s worth the price. It’s the only thing I really splurge on. It does what it claims.

This is one of the few shampoos I’ve used that actually works to make my hair feel and look fuller. I have spent hundreds of dollars on shampoos over the years and none of them have worked, except this one. I’m not sure I like the smell–it doesn’t smell like coconut. But it doesn’t smell bad–maybe slightly medicinal. My hair actually looks—well–pretty lush after it dries after shampooing with OGX Anti-Hair Fall. However, I would make sure if you’re reading this to get a prescription from your doctor for minoxidal in tablet form–take two .5 milligrams a day, and you’ll see for yourself how effective it is. I take spironolactone, finasteride and minoxidal, and along with this shampoo–it’s really a game changer. I’m female–and I want to weep when think how many years I wasted on topical minoxidil, which just made my hair stiff and oily–gross. Doctors have been clueless about the benefits of oral minoxidal up until about 2 years ago. Topical minoxidal is useless for most women. Talk to your doctor and see if the tablets works for you. Good luck!

So this shampoo kind of weirds me out. First, I love be some coffee with coconut creamer in it. OMG! That’s me drink. Forget the pricy drinks good ole coffee mate creamer and home brew. Now, I’m trying to grow my hair out this winter and I thought, of give this a try, their purple bottle has done me well. Ok.. so I get this and use it. And I’m now jonesing hard for a coconut coffee while in the shower. But the crazy thing is to me while usually drinking a coffee with coconut cream the smells marry together. This shampoo the smells compete. That’s what weirds me out. I have two strong scents fighting it out in my hair to see which will come out on top. And they are strong. I lost my ability to smell from COVID and I can smell this.
It does later well. But I don’t feel like it cleans well. I use another shampoo first, then this one. Then the coordinating coffee conditioner. My hair has no dye, no anything. It’s fine, straight and rarely do anything to it. Most of the time I keep it shaved but recently started to grow it. I need help with it falling out from the weight as it grows and keeping it moisturized. It dries out fast and gets a lot of static in the dry winter air. So I thought this would help but so far other than smelling like I have coconut food flavor and coffee grounds on my head, I don’t feel like it gets my hair clean though it has a nice lather. And my hair is still shedding as it grows out. I was hoping to see it decrease some. And the static is not under control at all so I’m not retaining any moisture in using this. I think I will go back to a lavender and quinoa shampoo I was using and that was more successful for me. I will keep this for a backup but I won’t get it again.

Honestly, the best hair product I’ve ever used. I can’t find it in stores anywhere so I was so grateful to find it on Amazon. My hair is the fullest and softest it has ever been and I attribute that directly to the use of this product, both the shampoo and conditioner are worth every penny.

I picked up this OGX shampoo hoping to tame my shedding hair, and wow, it’s like a morning latte for my scalp! The coconut-coffee scent is divine, not too sweet, just a warm, subtle mocha vibe that lingers gently all day.

Imagine you hate your job. I know it’s weird. Keep reading. Imagine you hate your job, but your terrible, horrible, weasel of a boss – who smells like cigarettes and sexual harassment – takes you and your team to an extremely expensive restaurant as a reward for a job well done. Yes, a bonus would be nice, but you’ll take surf and turf if that’s all you’re going to get. Anyway, you start with oysters as an appetizer and enjoy a $72 entree. You’re stuffed. You shift uncomfortably in your pants. Today would have been a great day for an elastic waistband. But the offer to order dessert is put into the universe. You shouldn’t. You’d never on your own, but here, tonight you wrestle with the idea. Just about the time you talk yourself out of indulging, your boss’ boss, the owner of the company, storms into the restaurant with the cops. “That’s him!” He shouts, as your boss is dragged away for embezzlement. The owner pulls up a chair and apologizes profusely for the interruption but encourages the party to continue with the meal. He’ll cover it. He then turns to you and says he’d like to see you tomorrow morning to talk about a promotion and a big fat juicy raise. And, with that, you order the most decadent Crème Brûlée of your life! You crack it open with the thwack of a spoon and every bite is life changing and tastes like sweet, sweet justice.
That dessert is what this shampoo smells like.
Also, I’ve been battling post-surgery hair loss for a month or so and after a week, my hair isn’t falling out at such a shocking rate anymore. All the stars. I give this shampoo all the stars.
