I never in a million years thought I’d be as in love with mushrooms as I’ve become 🙂 I took a chance on a packet of this at my local health shop. I fell in love with it but was disgusted w/the price they were charging. $1.99 a packet and if you by 6 then you get 10% off (which really isn’t great) the large container like this one that they carry. Costs about $35. So, I went to hunting. Only other place I could find this was Whole Foods which….are insane on costs as it is but… the mark up difference even from my health store was total insanity. For the packets they were $2.30 and the container like this was $39.00. So, I pulled up Amazon. Ok check…2 day delivery. And for this price!! How could I NOT order it lol… So now, there’s that rant out of the way and many thanks to Amazon for offering this product at such an amazing price!!
The taste is wonderful. I like drinking it of a morning. I haven’t ever really been a coffee drinker. I drank it to help wake me up many years ago but always hated it and used way more sugar and creamer than I had of the coffee LOL but this, doesn’t need anything. I just use a tbsp and my unsweetened almond milk and I’m good to go! I use about a cup/half of milk with the 1 tbsp of powder and it’s perfect. This has become a morning ritual of mine and I hate it if I run out. It helps me function and my memory is absolutely a 100 times better as is my focus. I can make it through the day without forgetting what I’m supposed to be doing and have energy to do the things I need to do.
The only complaint I have… is when I decide to do something. I try doing it all of the way. I’ve decided to start digging more into mushrooms for their healing properties and therefore that means finding the best and purest. Unfortunately that comes w/dropping many things like rice/oats/mycelium and natural flavors. Which I noticed, natural flavoring is used in this. I’d love to see them drop that and get rid of it as we all know, ‘natural flavoring’ has nothing to do with the flavor of anything that’s natural. Otherwise, I think this is an amazing product and will continue to use until I find something that doesn’t have the flavoring enhancer. Because I truly do love and adore this product!!!

I’ve been ordering the Coffee Latte Blend for a few years now and it was my daily, go-to AM drink. Recently, I ordered more of Coffee Latte blend and when it arrived I noticed the packaging was different. The packaging was always a round, cardboard container with a plastic sleeve inside that held the powdered mix. The Coffee Latte that I received was in a Plastic canister with a screw-top lid.
I didn’t think much of it, and continued as I normally would making my AM coffee. It tasted AWFUL. I turned the new canister around to check the label, and sat it side-by-side with the old (good) Coffee Latte mix and found that there are several ingredient changes – NONE of which are noted online.
The old Coffee Latte was a blend of Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi, and Chaga. The new canister is missing Reishi and Chaga. In addition, the old Coffee Latte used Maple Sugar Powder (missing from the new one) as well as Vanilla (also missing from the new one).
I’ve posted pictures of the canisters side-by-side. You can see a clear differences in the ingredients used, and none of the changes are disclosed online. The OLD (better) product is still marketed, but the new product is being distributed in it’s place. I’ll return the new Coffee Latte I’ve purchased and try to source the older packaged Coffee Latte locally in stores before it’s completely sold out.

If you already tasted Ryze Mushroom coffee and looking for a cheaper version of it and that you have that taste on your mind, then you will be disappointed.. it is not that strong for my taste and I didnt tasted any hint of coffee on it.. sorry!

I wanted to try this on the recommendation of a friend for the sake of researching mushroom/chocolate combinations. If you are going to write about something, it’s best to try it first-hand when you can.
This product makes a very nice hot chocolate. With water, it was a little harsh. You can taste the earthy notes of the mushrooms against the chocolate, but with chocolate being naturally bitter it isn’t unpleasant. When milk/cream is added, it mellows out quite well. The problem with this blend came later on in the form of heartburn/acid production.
I can’t say if it is the mushrooms or the OTHER additive at the bottom of the list that is something wholly unfamiliar to our area. Whatever it is, everyone who tasted it reported an upset stomach later to some degree. Would recommend an antacid be taken in advance if you want to use this.
Again, the flavor of the drink is good. Perhaps if we were drinking it regularly we’d become more adapted to it, but the first time was a little rough. Will be trying another variety with just the reishi as it is hard to isolate which item caused the difficulty with a multi-mushroom, chocolate, and other fruit/plant blend.

I’ve tried a couple brands of functional mushroom hot chocolate & I like this one the best. I first tried it as an afternoon snack to ward off hunger & be healthy, I soon discovered that I got better sleep without drowsiness! Bonus! The reasons that it’s my favorite of the brands that I’ve tried is because the quality is as good as the more expensive, the taste is every bit as good, and the price is by far the best!

I was pleased from the first sip! I make mine cold with milk and the flavor is so rich and creamy. Yes, it has a nutty, mushroom-y flavor, but I don’t mind that as I like mushrooms and it isn’t overwhelming. And having tried other mushroom coffees and cocoas, I can say that the Om products are the best tasting I’ve found so far. It does take some work to dissolve, so you’ll want to use more than just a spoon to mix. I use a milk frother and that works perfectly. If you’re in the market for an instant mushroom latte mix, I can’t recommend this one enough!

After getting COVID, I developed a painful bladder syndrome. I had been a coffee/caffeine drinker for 20 years, and suddenly everything was causing extreme pain; drip coffee, cold brew coffee, low acid coffee, matcha, green tea, black tea, iced tea. EVERYTHING, except Om mushroom coffee. It’s literally the only thing, after a ton of trial and error, that doesn’t give me issues. One tablespoon with hot water, some coconut sugar and a splash of half and half, blend, and it’s heaven. I don’t have to give up caffeine or my ritualistic morning hot drink. The latte kind is very tasty and creamier, but the plain “coffee” kind has less carbs so I’ll stick with this for now. Try it!!!

1 – Quantity – It’s listed as 30 servings. I used a leveled measuring tool every time I served myself, and my container had 21.5 days worth of product.
2 – Flavor – My first impression was that it tastes like matcha with a hint of coffee, or matcha “but bitter and dark.” It’s not a bad flavor. I don’t like mushrooms, and I ordered this product as a way to have the health benefits of mushrooms, and to include them in my gut diversity. It still tastes enough like matcha, and after 3 weeks, I’ve grown to desire the flavor of this product. I drink it with a tbsp of oatmilk creamer.
3 – Quality – The texture is great. It dissolves quickly in hot water when stirred with a spoon, and almost instantly if you stir with a frother. Compared to RYZE, this has the mushrooms that matter most.
4 – Value – It’s meh. Not getting 30 days is disappointing. It says full price is $39.99, but at the time of my purchase, it was only $24 for the subscription price. $24 for 21 days of product is $1.14 per serving. I’m more than content with that. Even if the price goes back up to $40, for 21 days, that’s $1.90 per serving. I’m buying extra while it’s on sale, because I do really like it.

Honestly, I have tried better tasting mushroom coffee alternative drinks in the past. However, for the price of this one I can’t complain too much. I will say that it does its job in energizing me at any point of the day without feeling worn out. It provides sustained energy, with an aquired taste. I notice that it doesn’t blend completely either (and I use a milk frother to blend my drinks). This was a bit of a dissapointment. Will I purchase this again? probably not, but I will continue in using adaptogenic mushrooms as a caffeine alternative. I just haven’t found the right one yet within a reasonable price range.

Terrific coffee alternative! Energizes without the caffeine rush and crash. Delicious all by itself. Mix in water, milk, almond milk or my fave, oat milk for a delicious, creamy drink. One caveat; heat the liquid for easier mixing. Not easy mixing, but easier mixing. Really got to stir it up, but worth it. A bit pricey, but so tasty and good for you.

I am reluctantly working towards incorporating superfood options, such as mushroom coffee, into my daily routine. I looked at reviews and cost before buying OM. As for taste, the chai spices and cacao make it pretty good. Only downside is that it does not mix well. It does say to use a frother, which I did not own. I tried spoon, fork, manual mixing whisk…still had lumps. Finally went and bought an electric frother yesterday. Had to mix it twice to get all the residue off the bottom, but it worked and tasted better. A good deal of work for a cup of coffee, but I do enjoy the flavor. Not sure of any health benefits, yet, but worth the $$ I spent.

It’s gross and hurts my stomach! First of all, it’s sweet and wish that would have been clear on the package. It’s too sweet though! Second, they added Xanthum gum, which gives it a thick, gross texture that makes me want to gag. I think the Xanthum gum is probably the reason that it hurts my stomach. I don’t understand why they needed to add Xanthum gum, because normal coffee doesn’t have a thick texture.
I tried to return but wasn’t able to, so this was a waste of money!

I have been trying to get a coffee for two years. We break up and then we get back together and it’s this ongoing toxic relationship. Whenever I drink it my stomach gets very angry with me and it’s ugly. Anyway, I’ve tried other things like mud/wtr (too expensive), teecino (had barley in it and I am allergic to gluten), and some chicory root coffee alternative that kept me in the bathroom all day, teas, etc. And then I found Om and figured, “what the heck? I’ll try it.” I was looking for some thing that didn’t have any coffee or caffeine in it. Today I had my 1st cup, and I literally cried. This stuff is absolutely beyond delicious. If you like a chai flavor then you will fall in love with this stuff. I am so so happy that I can hardly wait until tomorrow morning to have my next cup!!
