This is a product where EVERY review is subjective. Not everyone is going to love this pillow like I do.
Personally, I love this pillow. I bought my first one back in 2010 at Shopko. I would still be using it had I not forgot my pillow at a hotel in Independence, MO this past weekend (8/17/25).
I love how firm it is and it keeps its shape for a long time. Yes, it will break in and break down a little bit, but be patient. It took a couple of years for it to break in.
I would recommend NOT taking the stuffing out. When I got mine I theorized that removing any of the foam would change the composition of the pillow enough that I probably wouldn’t like it. The foam is stuffed in there tightly when you get it. If you disturb that foam you loosen it up and you’ll never get the same support it originally had. This was confirmed when I read someone else’s review about removing the foam.
I have a heavy head. Every pillow I have ever owned, up until I got my first bamboo pillow, I would flatten withing 6 months and I could never get comfortable. The bamboo pillow is the ONLY pillow I have ever had that doesn’t fully break down. It’s still as firm as it was the first day. But like any foam, it will soak up you sweat and body oils over time. Like I mentioned before, it does break in and it takes quite a bit of time for it to break in.
My suggestion is, people need to quit expecting things to be perfect right away. Stop with this st00pid immediate gratification attitude. Leave the pillow the way you receive it and use it for a year. It will start breaking in by that time.
As long as these are still being made, I will never use another brand of pillow again.

Love this pillow. Very firm and fluffy. You don’t sink into it. You can adjust how fluffy it is. I’ve been sleeping with it for 3 weeks now and it has help reduce me neck pain.

The shredded foam lets you shape the pillow like a down pillow but without the feather spines poking you in the face. But there are two things you need to know. First, each pillow contains about twice the foam you actually need. If you like a big firm pillow then leave it, but for a back sleeper you’ll want to open it up and remove about half of the filling. Secondly it has a little bit of a smell, as all foam pillow products and mattresses do. Personally, it kind of smelled like chocolate to me, lol. But after a couple weeks it’s gone.

These are really great. I bought two for our bed. You can take the “stuffing” out depending on how firm you like your pillows. I like mine kinda firm; my boyfriend does not, so he took more foam out of his pillow. They hold up really well.

I just got another one of these pillows at HomeGoods and it had a tag on it. The one I got from Amazon did not. Until I read the tag I didn’t realize this is so firm because it is intended to be customized by the new owner after purchasing. After I removed a sizeable amount of the filling it is now my favorite pillow to use. I do own and have been using the other “my pillow” for about 6 years but for some reason they seem to be getting slimmer and have less filling over the years. Our first set that we purchase was nice and firm, and very full of filling. Not so much the new ones we got last year, and they are a lot more expensive than these Bamboo Miracle pillows. While on vacation in Florida in February we rented a house that has these Miracle Bamboo pillows and I fell in love with them. So I ordered one and I just found it to be too firm. I bought a second one last week and because it had a tag one it, I discovered I could remove some of the fill very easily and once I did, it is now perfect. I kept the filling in a plastic zip bag because I am sure as it ages I will need to add it back in to keep the firmness. I have to also mention that the zip bamboo cover is so soft and substantial, well worth the price just for that comfy cover. My friend recently asked me if it was “cooler” than other pillows, and I can’t say that I find it any different as far as temperature when sleeping on it. But with the right amount of fill for me, side sleeping is now a dream, no pun intended.

If you’re looking for an incredibly firm pillow, this is it. A lot of pillows say they are firm. Not like this one. My kids like to make fun of me for how firm it is. This pillow is absolutely perfect! I first purchased this pillow in 2017 on clearance at a Big Lots store. From that first night I slept on the miracle bamboo pillow I noticed less pain in my shoulders, neck, and arms. Also suffer from fewer headaches. When I lost everything I owned in an eviction, I had to buy another right away. Couldn’t live without it. It’s the most comfortable pillow in the world! I would have to say that it’s worth every penny I spent everytime. It’s filled with just the right amount of shredded memory foam. I’m a side sleeper and it’s hard to find a good pillow that helps with arm, shoulder, and neck pain. It’s the perfect size, fluffy, cool, and very good quality. These pillows really hold up and last for many, many years. It’s also very convenient that it unzips and you can remove or add more filling. This pillow is way better than the my pillow, aldo cheaper. Nobody could regret buying the miracle bamboo pillow. It’s the best pillow and a must have for great sleep!

I’ve been loving my last Miracle Bamboo pillow for years and while there are other similar brands of bamboo pillow, nothing compares to Miracle Bamboo. It is the ONLY pillow that I can actually get to sleep with as I have PTSD, autism, ADHD and suffer insomnia.. it is firm enough to support my numerous weird sleep positions, soft and plush to the touch and maintains shape for YEARS. I wouldn’t change brands if you paid me. Another satisfied buy from this picky sleeper.
