My 15 yro pug x cavalier has been on this to help alleviate her Cushings symptoms. Its been 5 weeks now and I am really happy with the improvement in her quality of life. She’s drinking less, sleeping normally, has more energy and the edge has been taken off her food cravings. I began to see results within the first week and reached max results in about 3 weeks. It gives her smelly gas, but I’ve counted that with probiotics, so no issues.

My lab has cushings disease and this product has been an absolute game changer! She is stable, has less panting episodes and this product truly supports her daily health. My lab has no problem with the taste and I just use a dropper full on her food.

My 20lb terrier/spaniel mix had been sick since May (3 months) and getting worse. She had several blood panels, and the ACTH test confirmed mild Cushing’s. Switching her from hard food to fresh (Petsmrt) resulted in her ALP going from 625 to 228. Still high, but much better. It solved her drinking issues, 3x normal, and pottying accidents. In the last month her back legs have gotten worse. She no longer wants to go on walks. I have to carry her to the lawn to do her business. She is blind, another related side effect, but can go up and down stairs. The specialty vet recommended 20mgs of Trilostane (Vetoril) daily. They warned that it was hard on dogs and they were right. This made her noticably worse and I immediately discontinued it. Another vet suggested Melatonin. One pill made her restless and worse. Glucosamine/Chondroitin pill 1x day didn’t do anything for her. Last night, I added the Adrenal Harmony Gold drops to her food. (She has a voracious appetite, a side effect of Cushing’s.) This morning, I came downstairs and there she was, waiting for me by the front door to go potty! I could not believe it. She acts like she feels like a million bucks! This is after just one dose (and actually half of the correct dose, i calculated wrong). I’m amazed, I’ve spent thousands of dollars on tests, stress on her and months with zero improvement. No vet even mentioned this product. (2025 update: after mentioning this to a specialty vet, they said “we like data”.) Ok i understand, I like what works. If your dog has Cushing’s or the symptoms, I highly recommend trying this. The company offers a money back guarantee. My dog had almost all of these, except for the skin issues.

    Cushing’s symptoms: Your dog is:
    Thirstier than usual
    Seems hungrier
Pees more often. Housebroken dogs may have indoor accidents.
Loses hair or it is slow to grow
    Gets a pot belly
    Has thinning skin
    Seems very tired and inactive
    Pants a lot
    Gets skin infections

Switching food to fresh plus this supplement cost more and was 100% with it. **Thank you to the other reviewers.** This is my honest review, I don’t work for any related company and didn’t received any discounts.
    ———————————————–
Update: It’s been a couple weeks and I’m giving her the suggested dose split between meals – on her fresh food. It says bacon flavored and she loves the fresh food. Pup is doing well and still goes out on her own to the restroom. Her leg weakness is improving. I read it can take a long time for that to resolve. Fresh food is a game changer. It solved her drinking/pottying issues and improved her liver values drastically – that is the only change I made during that time period. When I tried reintroducing dry food (I tried 3-4 high end foods), even as part of her diet, her demeanor was markedly worse.
    ———————————————–
Update 2: My dog had diarrhea for several months. My vet noticed the bottle said, may be a GI irritant. I immediately discontinued it and she placed her on an antibiotic. I feel terrible for not noticing this warning. It’s been a week since I’ve made this change and her diarrhea is improving. From her sickest until now, my dog is much improved – happy, no more moaning like she used to, her appetite is great, her leg strength is back and she climbs up and down stairs again. The vet ssuggested a mild diet since her second round of antibiotics (white rice, eggs, chicken and/or turkey). Find a good vet and trust your gut (2025: use AI, it is an amazing resource of information), do you think is best for your dog. There are different variations of Cushing’s. Apparently they can be caused by adrenal or pituitary tumors. The disease is more prevalent in certain breeds.
    ————————————————
    Update 3:
After a week off of Adrenal Gold, she was deteriorating – low energy, hind legs issues and just not her peppy self. I realized I’d been dosing her half of what the bottle recommended, ugh! 10 drops per day than 2x per day. Back on Adrenal Gold again and I am experimenting with her food to get the right combination that won’t cause diarrhea. A high protein, low fat diet is recommended – I now make her food. Please tell your vet if this works for your dog so other dogs will be saved from a premature death!

It’s been one year since Bella started this medicine (+ fresh food) and she is doing great.

She can go on short walks and is her tail wagging, happy self. I buy this from Amazon or direct. The dosage on the bottle is appropriate. I make her food as follows: I chop/combine the following cooked 9 ingredients: 2 lbs ground turkey, 1 dozen free range eggs, 1 bag frozen organic spinach, chopped green beans, cubed organic sweet potatoes, ~ 1/3 cup quality olive oil (I use California brand), large container organic plain greek yogurt, apple and instant organic cooked steel cut oatmeal. I make batches for several weeks and freeze what I don’t use within 5 days. I give her one drop a day of biosil for her hair.
    ——————————————–
    11/11/16
Bella is still doing great – 95% of what she was pre-illness. People who haven’t seen her in awhile remark at how well she looks and acts. She loves short walks and has a voracious appetite like always. I give her people food for snacks – corn chips, strawberries, raspberries, small pieces of frozen cooked meat, etc. as my vet recommended. Adrenal Harmony Gold 2x a day with her food. This product has given me my dog back and I’m so grateful 💕. There are hundreds of reviews on the retailer’s website, too.

    5/12/18 Update
My dog is still doing well on the same protocol. Last batch I put the turkey and eggs in a crock pot, mashed it up with my hands, added steel cut oats (maybe a cup?) a bag each of frozen organic sweet potatoes, squash and spinach (all from Walmart) and cooked it in a crock pot on high for 3 hours, added the chopped organic apples, olive oil and yogurt.

    5/30/19 Update
Girlfriend is still kicking! My biggest struggle this past year is getting her to eat. I’ve experimented *a lot* – an expert told me oats aren’t good for dogs and sprouted buckwheat is a good alternative. I figured out she gets bored with her food and has trouble smelling it I alternate between different brands of fresh food usually delivery. I bought a feeder with a cold pack in the bottom and sections that rotate, so she is never without food. She definitely gets “hangry” or anxious when she is hungry. Sometimes it’s just water she needs and I have to place her in front of her water bowl so she finds it. For treats she gets Nature Valley Granola bar (crunchy, broken up) or fast food plain cheeseburger. She also wears washable dog diapers I got on Amazon.
    3/23/20
It’s been almost 5 years. 3 months ago, she started having bloody diarrhea that would not resolve. I realized that she had all of the symptoms of Addison’s (the opposite of Cushing’s), took her off her medicine and took her to the vet. He prescribed Reglan, Sucraflate and Metronidazole. This really helped get her stools close to normal.
After 2 weeks being off Adrenal Harmony Gold, the blood test showed her ALP high 200s, close to where she was when she was originally on the medication, nothing else very serious. If your dog is having intestinal issues, consider stopping this medication. She is blind/deaf, spins in circles, sleeps a lot, but is still able to find her food, water and walk around outside.
12/5/20 Bella passed over to the Rainbow Bridge on November 6th. 5 years ago we thought she was dying. In retrospect, her spinning/restless behavior was often because she was hungry. She couldn’t smell well likely because of years of blindness and running into walls with her little nose. She wasn’t on this med since the last update. Thanks for all of the ‘likes’, it made the process all worth it and hopefully more dogs will be saved because of it. None of the many vets ever suggested this medicine. Please tell your vets and friends, so more dogs can be spared the pain. Feed your dog real food! There are many variations of Cushing’s, don’t give up on finding what works for your dog. My true and honest experience after much research and $$$. 🐶🐾
    11/1/21
Ashwaganda is a main ingredient in this medicine. I personally tried it to keep me from waking up at night. Even at a low dose, it made me anxious, anxious enough that I won’t take it. Bella was very anxious, especially towards the end of her life. I do wish I had scaled back on this medicine at times. That and keep an eye on stomach upset, as well. It’s a balancing act. Research and do what works for your fur baby.
    2025:
I have cats now and with their issues have purchased many of the other products from this company. My favorites are the mushroom formula, for my older girl, healthy joints and blood sugar gold (and insulin) because she has diabetes. I’m very pleased with this company and its products. If your pet has an issue, they likely have something for it. Email their vet, they are very responsive.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
These Adrenal Gland drops turned my two dogs around. They have Cushing’s and my friend recommended that I get this product. I didn’t want my dogs to go through with the dangerous drug that the Vet wanted to use. Their symptoms have gone away. They started to play again, and their overall mood changed. No more excessive drinking of water and no more fatigue.

So I bought Adrenal Harmony and Melatonin and he’s been 95% better. Only vomited twice since taking. He eats no kibble, food I cook or slightly cooked food and Raw Organ meat from ChowDown
He has more energy and sleeps well and drinks less water

Peanut butter helped at first but is not a fix. Had to break it up and apply the peanut butter to small pieces .Wish I had gone with the drops. It becomes expensive if your dog refuses to eat it.

My 11 year old poodle bichon mix was diagnosed with Cushings earlier last month. She had most of the symptoms, panting, pot belly, lethargy, with some benign growths on her skin. Luckily she still had full control of her bladder and other functions. A urinalysis confirmed high enzymes levels in the 560’s which the vet informed us was most likely from cushings with the other symptoms considered. Our vet was also forthcoming further tests would be costly and at the present time not recommended since her levels were not in advanced stages and to follow up in a few months for another urinalysis. I immediately started researching the disease on line and homeopathy treatment. I came across Adrenal Gold in many of the blog posts which mentioned this product and when reading the great reviews on Amazon and their website I purchased it without question.
After 1 full week on the product, my dog’s symptoms have either gone away or have been greatly reduced. Everything from the pot belly, to the lethargy are gone. Her attentiveness has perked up and her expressions seem to be much more happier. I highly recommend reading all the reviews and tying this product first before going through the expense for clinical testing. I’m looking forward to updating this review after a longer term and after her next round of enzyme results. I have also changed her diet to a meat mixed with no salt canned veggies, added milk thistle and Cosequin to her daily dose to boost the liver and joint performance

Updated – It’s been just about a month since we started our dog on a daily treatment of Adrenal Gold and her improvement continues. I just ordered a second bottle so there will be no break in time it when this one is finished. She still has minor bouts of discomfort where she will pant heavily or bloat up but it seems to become more of a sign she is back up so we take her for a walk, she does her business and she seems fine. Overall she is much more active, alert, comfortable, pot belly is greatly reduced, skin has returned to pinkish color and her coat has thickened. The holistic approach for now seemed to be the way to go. To supplement A.H.G. I also changed her diet to human food, ground turkey, beef or chicken steamed veggies green beans, sweet potatoes, carrots with beef or chicken broth, she gets 1/2 tablet daily of Cosequin, 1/4″ tsp 2X day milk thistle, 5 drops 2X every other day of Hawthorne and dandelion, and at night she gets 3 mg of melatonin all supplements are mixed in her food. 1 X daily in the am a vitamin to boost her renal function and a night she gets one designed for senior dogs overall health and heart.

I am blown away by this product. It really has been a miracle.

My little guy is a 10 year old mixed breed, small dog. For most of his adult life, he has weighed about 10 lbs consistently. Around March of this year (2019), we started noticing an increase in urination. At first, we thought he was being cunning and trying to increase the frequency that he was receiving treats. We started watching him to make certain he was and sure enough, he was going each time. Along with the increased urination, we noticed increased panting, increased water consumption and rapid weight gain (gained about 5 pounds). After going to the vet the first time, they thought it may be a UTI. After a test, we found that wasn’t the case. After a few more months, things were getting worse. He started having accidents in the house, he wouldn’t play anymore and he would lounge everywhere. I knew he was getting older but such a rapid change over a short period of time just didn’t make sense. After more tests (low dose dexamethasone), ultrasound and some blood work, our vet and vet specialists determined it is likely that he has Cushing’s disease and that it is adrenal.

In September 2019, his adrenal was enlarged and measured 1.7 x 1.2 inches. When he took the test for Cushing’s, his cortisol level never suppressed. He was prescribed Vetoryl and even at the lowest dosage, he had a horribly violent reaction to it. He began screaming and fell over on his side and would not move. This was after throwing up and having terrible diarrhea. If you love your little buddy as much as we do, I’m sure you can imagine how heartbreaking that was and how lost we felt. He was in pain and we couldn’t figure out how to help him.

The next item on the list to try was either another, older medication that wasn’t used as frequently or surgical removal.

While waiting for feedback from the doctor, I did some research online and found this product. After reading reviews from several sources, we decided to give it a try.

He has been taking the lowest dose for about three, nearly four, weeks. He has lost almost all of the weight he gained, he pants less, he still drinks alot of water but the urination has decreased. Today, he had another test for his cortisol level and an ultrasound to check the size of his adrenal.

I am so happy to report that his adrenal has reduced in size! It is now 1.4×0.8 and his cortisol level has improved. The doctor said typically when testing, post cortisol levels over 22 indicate Cushing’s and his showed 12.3. Pre-test levels were still a little high at 8.6 (typcially like to see 6) but really not anything to be concerned about! What a blessing!! I cannot begin to tell any and everyone how happy this product has made me and my family. We are so happy with the results so far. We will go back next year, maybe April or May to check to see how things are going. I highly recommend at least giving this a try if your furry friend is suffering from an adrenal disease like Cushing’s.

My 9 year old dog was showing signs of Cushing’s Disease and I wasn’t comfortable with the side effects that could accompany the drugs vets prescribe and I also wanted to go with something more natural so I ordered the Pet Wellbeing Adrenal Gold to try. At the same time starting this I also started giving her another supplement to help her sleep at night as she was waking me every 2 hours to go outside to potty. The reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is some of the liquid always leaks onto the rubber bulb on the lid of the dropper even though I shake the bottle sideways rather than up and down and made sure the cap is on snugly. I’ve pulled the rubber part up all the way to make sure it was seated tightly against the cap, wiped it clean but the next time I use it the rubber part has more liquid on it which gets on my hands.

Bottom line: It works. My dog has Cushings Disease. My vet warned me that most people put down their dog because of the change in their dog’s night time behaviors. Within days after starting to add drops to her evening meal she went from a ⁹panting, whining all night, need to go potty all night dog to her laid back, sleep all night dog she used to be.

I’m not a fan of the Deslorelin implants and after months of research I thought I would try this product and I’ve been using it for about two months now and my ferret Loki has done a 360. I highly recommend at least giving this a try if your furry friend is suffering from an adrenal disease like Cushing’s.
