This works great in my mist machine. There is a big difference in the smell of sandalwood and Australian sandalwood. The latter smells so much better. Quality of the oil, packaging and dropper all great.

I’m so happy I was able to find this sandalwood essential oil. When I first opened the bottle, I was very weary because it was slightly pungent. But a lot of essential oils smell different when they’re in a bottle or concentrated, instead of being diffused or diluted in carrier oils, so I gave it a try in my brand new diffuser that’s never been used to really see how it would smell. After adding few drops into the diffuser, the essential oil smelled heavenly! It is sweet and woody and rich. I also rubbed a little of this essential oil on my sandalwood bracelet to refresh its aroma and my bracelet smells like new sandalwood beads again! So happy with this essential oil. I just purchased Indian Sandalwood from Phatoil to see which sandalwood scent I would prefer, but I will definitely be buying more!

I absolutely love the scent of May Chang aka Litsea Cubeba. It’s one of my favorite scents to add in my cold process soaps and helps boost the lemon oil scent. Just be aware that IFRA recommends limiting the usage of this oil so a little goes a long ways. I am also pleased with the Phatoil brand as they have always been responsive to any product questions I may have had on this and other oils I’ve boughten from this brand. They have yet to disappoint me with the quality and scents of their oils.

This does not smell like Indian Sandalwood. I have real indian sandalwood oil from india and this doesnt smell anything like it. It smells like chemicals. I have not tried it in diffuser so far, only with carrier oil. Either I got a bad batch or it really is made with chemicals rather than the root extract. It is priced cheap for a reason.

I’m hardly qualified to give a meaningful review on the quality of this pine oil vs others. What I *do know* is that the quantity and strength of it is very good given the price I paid. Am mixing it with Fir Needle oil ($$$) to make diffuser oil with some success. So don’t expect this to smell great alone, because it doesn’t, unless you enjoy huffing pine-sol. It is a scent component, not a standalone solution, at least in my case.

I’m not particularly sold on this oil yet. It seems you need to shake it to get full scent to activate. I put a good amount in my diffuser last night and the scent only lasted a couple hours. It was leaking a small amount when I received it but not enough to complain for refund. I have only used it the one time so I will update my opinion after more use if I find it to be better.
