This is my go-to Rockstar energy drink. The Hardcore Apple flavor offers a refreshing, crisp apple taste without any unpleasant bitterness. With 260mg of caffeine, it provides a noticeable energy boost. However, the high sugar content is a bit of a drawback. Compared to other Rockstar flavors, and even other energy drinks like Monster White Pineapple, Rockstar Hardcore Apple is the best in its class.

I have been drinking Rockstar Punched energy for years. It has always been my favorite energy drink to make it through those extra-long shifts at work or power through tough workouts. The flavor is bold, and yeah, it definitely gives a strong energy kick if that’s what I need. It had just about everything one could want: a bunch of caffeine and a load of sugar, too, which always really gave me that immediate kick. But as much as I’ve enjoyed rockstar over the years, recently I tried Aura caffeine pouches, and man, they’re so much better.
The first thing I noticed about Aura is how smooth and long-lasting the energy was. This was because, with Rockstar, I’d get a quick burst of energy, but that usually didn’t last too long. Most times, by the end of the day, I crashed. However, Aura seems to give pretty steady energy, lasting for hours without making me jittery or wired. I think the nootropic blend makes a huge difference-ingredients such as Cognizin citicoline and theanine. I have a lot more energy, but also feel really focused and clear-headed, which wasn’t the case with Rockstar.
Of course, another big plus about Aura over Rockstar would be that it contains no sugar at all. Rockstar is a drink loaded with sugar, and although this may give me an immediate boost of energy, it could often make me feel a bit sluggish later on. Aura is sugar-free and made from clean, natural ingredients, so I don’t have to be as concerned about crashing or feel guilty about what I’m taking. Aura is also a lot more convenient. With Rockstar, I always had to carry around a can and make sure to drink it before it got warm. But Aura pouches are small, easy to carry, and require no preparation whatsoever. I can pop a pouch in my mouth anytime I need an energy boost, at work, at the gym, or running errands; it’s just so much more practical for my busy lifestyle.
I still think Rockstar is not bad, but that’s especially if you want just a quick shot of energy. However, Aura has become a much better choice for me: the energy is longer, cleaner, and it helps me stay focused without the side effects I used to get from drinking Rockstar. If you want more than your usual, ordinary energy drink, I strongly recommend trying the Aura pouches-you won’t regret it!

I used to work in-person and would stop at a gas station every morning to grab my daily energy drink and some breakfast pizza. I have now since started working from home and it didn’t quite make sense to leave every morning just for an energy drink. So, I set up a subscription for my energy drink of choice, Rockstar Punched, to be delivered to my door in cases.
This ended up saving me money in the long run because I end up paying about $1.67 per can, when at the gas stations near me I pay $2 minimum. That’s roughly $4 in savings (3.96 to be exact) on just one case. And if you’re a daily energy drink consumer like me, that will add up over time, making this a good value for the cost in my opinion.
A few cons I would like to point out, and why I’m leaving a 4 star review rather than a 5 star; the cases come damaged more often than not. The cans are still fully intact most of the time (although dented), however there have been a few casualties that were damaged enough to leak. However, I have had this subscription set up for around 2 years I would guess. To only have a handful of truly damaged cans that I end up having to discard, that’s not too bad for 2 years. I like to give a little bit of grace in this regard because they are full 12 can cases of liquid being lifted around.
Another con, and reason for the 4 stars is when you have a subscription set up, and you drink the same flavor everyday like me (boring I know), you can definitely taste when something is off in a batch. The same thing would happen buying at a store, but when getting a full case delivered, usually the whole case tastes off rather than the amount you bought from the store (assumingly less then a case, so you’d likely drink less wonky tasting cans).
Overall I think the convenience and the cost savings make this a great product. The subscription feature specifically is great. Even if it’s not this product, I highly recommend the subscription feature for anything you use regularly, so you don’t even have to think about it.

I have adhd and I am medicated for it(vyvanse) so it’s always a concern that an energy drink will leave me bouncing off the walls but I’ve found that the balance here lets me have a few sips at a time for a couple hours of mental clarity and energy without being too wired vs other energy drinks that I left me much more wired with less clarity. The taste is also pretty good, I actually enjoy the flavor, 2nd only the redbull, but this is more effective for me.
I do bring plastic wrap to cover the opening and leave it un-refrigerated in my locker at work(I work nightshift and these crackheads would absolutely steal it if left anywhere public like the fridge) so I can open it, have a few sips, and put it back safely and it stays good too.
The one thing I will say is I’ve spilled one of these onto a work shirt and I needed to wear it the next day/couldn’t do laundry and it wasn’t sticky at all but it absolutely starched the shirt. That shirt was stiff and pressed…it was sort of nice? but also super concerning that I’m putting this into my body when it can do something like that…Idk, we probably shouldn’t put things into our soft squishy bodies that can solidify fabric…but nothing else seems to work as effectively for me and it’s the only real solution other than actually sleeping(which is ideal but not always possible).
I guess I recommend it? It does work perfectly for me. I take a few sips every couple hours and I can function through my 10 hour work night until 8am. What else can I say?
