This pillow is rather stiff and I thought that would bother me, yet it has actually been quite fine. The only thing I would consider is possibly going with a roll pillow that is the 6″ diameter instead of 9″. I am using it just fine but it feels rather “large” under the bedspread and the legs are up a little more than I anticipated.
In the end, I have no back pain in the morning. I am hoping this is just a spurt where I use it once in a while and not every night anyway.
I took the cover off immediately as I heard “crunching” and the inner pillow was covered in a plastic bag. You would hear that all night if you moved around. Rather tight to get it zippered back up but it got there.

What I like:
1. The bolster looks very professional.
2. The foam inside this bolster is one complete foam roll. It’s also very firm. This isn’t memory foam (viscoelastic foam). This is a high density polyurethane foam that doesn’t lose it’s shape over time. Other bolsters in the past have been stuffed with pillow fiber filler…which deforms w/in weeks/months.
3. The material on the outside is PU synthetic leather. It has the look and feel of soft pleasing leather without the smell. Over time leather has issues from touching human skin and oils but this material you can wipe over and over again with a cloth and disinfectant without harming it. Perfect for professional environments where cleanliness is important.
4. I paid for this product and this is my honest review. The bolster cost me $35. That’s pretty good if you consider it will probably last several years. I’ve paid more and less in the past for bolsters that didn’t last. I will update this review in the future to let you know how well it’s holding up.
5. The zipper is on the inside of the cover. This prevents problems like grabbing hair and pulling it out by accident while using the bolster.
6. The bolster is truly 9 inches tall and 26 inches long. Measure out 9 inches and you’ll see that quite large for a bolster to go under someone’s knees and ankles. I like it when a product meets or exceeds expectations. This bolster does just that.
7. The handle is on the one side of this bolster is quite strong but not a tug-of-war handle. I think if you pull anything too hard it could break. This handle is just for pulling it out from underneath someone’s legs or ankles or even someone’s head. It’s a quality woven nylon strap.
8. I may have mentioned this already but there’s not strange odor from the roll or the foam inside. Sometimes these things have a bad off-color odor about them but this does not.
Things I don’t like:
1. The PU synthetic leather cover is a bit thin and could be punctured or torn if someone was careless. We always have our clients take everything out of their pockets or around their waist that could cause a snag or tear something or even poke the therapist. Any sharp metal or plastic may cause harm to this nice synthetic leather cover.
I hope this helps people who are looking for real world reviews with real pictures of the product up close. I will return and update this review in a couple years to explain how well this bolster held up over time.

The new bolster pillow arrived shortly thereafter and is working like a champ. I would still be careful if you planned on unzipping and zipping up the cover as the zipper is upside down, which makes sense as it means the smooth part of the zipper is exposed to the outside, which makes for a much more comfortable experience
I use this pillow to keep my knees bent while laying on my back and it does a great job keeping my knees from locking up.

This is great for doing my physical therapy exercises at home. I tried other products which were not comfortable. This product keeps its shape and helps with my back pain. I’m very pleased with this product and recommend it.
