Received in April. I used other product first, decided to give it a try today but the item was already open despite having a seal on the outside. I am not sure if the product has been tampered with and I’m concerned about purchasing anything else from this brand again.

I am 35yrs old and I had suffer 2 mayor allergy events in my life. The first time I had an allergy crysis was 8 years ago, it itched like hell and the only way I was able to get rid of the hives (I had nettle rash in 90% of my body), was using steroids for 3 months and Zyrtec for the itching. Since then, I has been healthy, til 2 months ago that I have had another hive crysis due to a combination of factors. After using 5 dosis of strong steroids I was looking for a subsitute that helped me to control my reaction in bad days, after doing some research I read about DOA suplement enzyme and I understood what It does and I believed it can help me blocking the new formation of histamine in my body to stop inyecting me steroids til a found an alternative treatment or solution. Well, I have to say that It is effective. The instructions says that you need to take 2 capsules 20 minutes after each histamine rich food, but as this is the first time to me using enzime supplemets I started with only 1 capsule. It has decreased the reaction at least 60%, the effectiveness of this pill is amazing. But beware, is not safe to play with your inmune system without medical supervision. After a couple of days, when I noticed that the strengh of the reaction were minimal, I decided to stop taking DAO, and I only took it when any food gave me a strong reaction or when I felt that I will get worse. Then I took 1 capsule of DAO AFTER eating the food, and the result were almost in real time, in 5-10 minutes the reaction stopped and the hives started to dissapear.
All the allergies and individuals are different, but as a person that has fail in despair to find a solution, I wanted to share my experience with this DAO supplement and the allergy that produces hives in the skin, this is the only thing besides benadryl that Is able to stop the hives in my skin, and that is something. But, as I though, this DAO supplement is not a treatment, it’s a palliative, and I was tired of dealing with the crysis, even having a strict diet of low-histamine food. I understood that the mastocites of our body were over reacting for some reason, and that reason was outside the reach of the DAO supplement. So in the meantime, I found a new allergy specialyst that started treating me. He explains me the risk of taking DAO without studying/treat the main cause of the allergy. He started to treat my respiratory system, and he supressed me the DAO suplement. I have been without reaction til now, but I keep this DAO suplement as an emergency plan if I ever have a relapse, it is effective attacking the cause, not the consequence. Nevertheless from now on, this DAO supplement is a must-have in my emergency resources.

I have rosacea. Several years ago I noticed that my skin was getting very dry and flaky. Also my fingertips were getting so dry, that in the winter they would crack and bleed. Another issue I had was waking up in the middle of the night with a terribly dry mouth: I had a hard time getting saliva started at night. I was so thirsty during the day I would drink 10+ glasses a water every day, and still felt thirsty. It was like I had eaten cotton. I read a review on line about a rosacea product, and the reviewer mentioned that maybe his dry skin was related to food histamine. That review sent me researching all about food histamine and brought me to this product. It took several months to clean up my eating habits and get that excess histamine out of my system. Apparently our bodies are suppose to make a digestive enzyme called DAO, that helps to break down food histamine so our bodies can tolerate it. As we age or take certain medications, some bodies stop making enough DAO. This product helps to supplement that need. Its expensive. but worth it. I can now get by on just taking just one pill 2-3 times a week, and all my dry skin and thirst issues stay under control. But, if I miss a week or more, they start to come back. So I know this product works.

Have struggled for years with histamine intolerance. After trying so many supplements this for me is the best to use when the meal has slightly higher levels of histamine than I would normally tolerate .

I have been plagued with wine headaches the morning after having as little as one glass of red wine. This has been going on since I started drinking red wine in the late 1980s. I attributed these low level headaches, which last into the next evening, to an intolerance due to aging as I was in my mid-30s at the time. This condition has persisted to this day. I am allergic to NSAIDs and effectively had no options to treat or prevent this morning after headache. Frustrated, but accepting that this is how it is, I decided to Google “red wine headaches” and found that often they are explained as a sensitivity to histamine, which is abundant in red wine. I favor my reds with lots of tannins and a full body.
Next I explored Amazon and came across Histamine Block. A few customers expressed similar side effects and were amazed by the outcome from using the product. The first 10 days I used the product as described – take 15 minutes prior to eating or drinking. It worked beautifully as I was headache free during these 10 days. An added benefit is that my doctor would tell me that alcohol later in the evening, prior to sleep, interferes with one’s sleep causing a less than sound, uninterrupted rest. This was my experience, too, for these many years. Now I sleep through the night and am more refreshed and alert with a more positive outlook for the coming day.
One caveat – on the 11th day I had one glass, but forgot to take Histamine Block until after I drank the red wine. The next morning I had my usual headache that lasted into the next evening. The lesson I learned from this is that it is a “blocker” of histamine, meaning it must precede the source of the histamine. It prevents it from affecting your system, but it must be there before the food or drink containing histamines.
You may think this strange and an exaggeration, but this product has favorably changed my daily life. I have a passion for red wines and have had to weigh the consequences of having a glass of wine against what I must tend to the next day. I no longer am confronted with this question. It works!!

I got this because I have a non IGE mediated soy allergy and MCAS. I take it when I am at a restaurant and suspect I might have some soy. I definitely notice a difference as far as if I take this versus if I don’t. As far as histamine goes, fighting release helps a little bit with whatever you’ve got. What I notice most is a slightly less scratchy throat, better GI tolerance, and a *little* less bloat. I like it enough that I have bought quite a few bottles and believe it’s worth a try.
