I took a chance on using this spice mix instead of assembling all the spices I needed for a homemade chili, and WOW — I was impressed. With just some beans, diced tomatoes, onions, tomato paste, hatch chilis, and meat, this mix brought it all to life. It could definitely be hotter, but this is a good starting point. And honestly, not everyone likes things too spicy, so making a batch of chili with this and having a bottle of red chili sauce on standby for those who need more of a kick seems to be the best compromise. Will definitely buy again.

Just follow the instructions on the package exactly, and you get perfect high-quality and great-tasting chili every time – it is as simple and easy as that.
I live in a household with a wide variety of tastes, from picky/bland eaters to “foodies” and spicy-food addicts. This chili seems to please everyone. It is classic enough for those that just want a simple chili, yet flavorful enough that it serves as a great base for those that want to spice up their bowl with chilis and hot sauce.
One packet is enough for a little over a pound of meat (plus a can of beans if that is your thing), for us that makes enough chili to feed the whole family withe some left over. I usually put a 1/4 cup or more of other chili powder in a similar size batch, but this size packet is enough to flavor the same amount of chili.
I love the Simply Organics brand of seasoning and use their Taco seasoning all the time. Unfortunately my local grocery store does not carry the Chili seasoning, but I was lucky enough to find it here.

It was good. Not that spicy so added serrano chili pepper to the mix and was perfect.

I used this Simply Spicy Seasoning for gluten free chili Mac with ground turkey for the first time. It tasted good and was super spicy!!! I would purchase this again!
