Perfect protein drink so far, with an extremely low amount of sugar. Smooth taste for all the flavors, I’ve had all 3. Be sure to shake well, and of course wait a few mins before opening the can. There is no chalkiness and it goes down well, with no bad aftertaste. Wait are you waiting for, order already.

The packaging came old, damaged, and the bottles covered in maggots and insect waste/residue.
I cleaned one off to try one reluctantly got the vanilla flavor and that first sip was very chalky and thick it gets better as you drink. However, I agree with reviews that these are good tasting shakes. This isn’t better than Quest and Premier Protein and at its price point those extra 2 grams of protein that these have aren’t worth it.

The first time I tried the slate vanilla shake, I bought a couple of cans locally from Publix. The taste was delicious. I wanted to try them before ordering a larger package from Amazon. I placed my order, had it delivered, opened some of the shakes and they were full of solids. I have a strong stomach for protein shakes and have been consuming them for over 30 years, I can’t drink these. The problem is that Amazon does not let me return the package and that’s an issue. I don’t know if they went bad in the warehouse, I don’t know what went wrong. It’s a shame. Buyer beware.

I absolutely love Slate! The vanilla flavor is smooth and not overpowering. It’s low in sugar and calories perfect for days when I take my tirzepatide shot and don’t have much of an appetite. It’s light on the stomach but still filling enough to hold me over. No chalky texture, no weird aftertaste, and it’s super convenient for on-the-go. I keep a stash in the fridge at all times now. Definitely a staple in my routine!

Went bad after less than six months even though it says there are 9 months left on the product expiration. Stored it in the fridge the whole time and the product turned goopy, separated and sour tasting. Purchased in August ‘25, pics are from January ‘26 and expiration is September ‘26. Avoid product.
