I absolutely love how loud this sound machine is. It’s lifted off the floor a bit and the speaker output is on the bottom of it so the sound waves bounce off the hardwood floor and it’s super loud. I also like the white noise sound. Some sounds machines have a glassy white noise that’s like nails on a chalkboard to my ears. This one has a box fan/hair dryer ish white noise sound that’s so much better.
I was all set to buy two more for my other kids’ rooms and then one night this week, power went out. I did my usual walkthrough of the kids’ rooms to put batteries into the sound machines for the remainder of the night only to find out this one doesn’t take batteries! Ugh! Off to search for a new one!

I wake less often, when listening to the pink or white noise functions on a low volume (background noise). Even my dog sleeps better. It’s compact and easy to use. The timer is not intuitive, but if you read the instructions, it’s not hard to figure out. Others have noted that the device has no battery and must be plugged in to operate, but when camping I found it worked great when plugged into a battery bank for phone charging.

I got this for my husband, since he says I snore… As if! Lol! He was turning on a box fan to drown out all the phantom noises… even in the winter. I decided to get this sound machine so I wouldn’t freeze. It did more than save me from shivering, it became our go to sleeping aid. It can even be used to gently wake us up, with the singing birds. I like the ocean sounds to lull me to sleep. It’s so small that it can easily be taken for travelling. Since my husband travels for work from time to time, you’d think I’d let him take the sound machine with him. Yeah right! That sounds box stays with me, buddy! Considering I paid only $25. for this little box, it’s certainly worth the money.
What I like: Ease of use, compact size, sound quality is very acceptable, the sound names engraved on the surface are a good way to know what you actually listen to.
The timer choices are good, although I don’t use this feature often – I usually let my unit On all night long.
What I don’t like: I find there are only 8 sounds good enough to listen to, which is about the third of all the choices – this is MY taste, of course. I feel the rest of them is not worth listening to. The train is the worst.
Also… the lights on top are definitely not too bright, nor disturbing.
For people who want to move the unit to other rooms: just get another usb cable. This is really not an issue. Also, most power bars now have usb ports, in which you can connect this unit, without the need of another power supply.

This sleep box has several different sounds that I feel will help a person relax as you try and get ready for bed. The design is compact and very straightforward. We like to sleep with the windows open but with trains in our town, and people who let their dogs bark all night it makes it hard. But this little device is amazing! The small footprint it takes up such little space, you can plug it into USB or electrical outlet, and it has all sorts of sound options (although the rain sound is so effective my husband made numerous bathroom trips, ha!). The volume has a series of levels and it drowns out trains and dogs! For the price, it is worth it! It is light and functional & would be easy to pack for travel even!
The only downside I can think some would find is this… if you have a power outage or glitch in the night, it shuts off and does not come back on. It doesn’t bother me, I’m already asleep at that point… but this could bother some people. So yes, there is no back up battery option.
