Really pleased someone recommended this, so useful for anyone with arthritic hands

Works fine and appears to be well made. Handle is not comfortable and overall it’s a little too big for typical home kitchen use. The other size is too small. I have big hands and it’s not efficient for blending the dough because of the size. I don’t know if dough blenders come in standard sizes but one right in the middle would probably be perfect.

Quality of this blender seems sturdy. Yet to try it out.

This is a good quality product. It is sturdy, looks good, and gets the job done.

Generally the built quality is okay except for the rough edges of the cutting blades

This is of excellent quality and much more heavy duty than the one I had for over 20 years. I got the larger of the two sizes offered and it fits my hand without touching the metal parts at all. The handle is round and large enough to get a good grip; the steel cutting part is very strong and easy to clean.

Very useful when I bake banana bread.

I’m seriously impressed with the Spring Chef Dough Blender! As someone who loves baking but used to dread cutting butter into flour, this tool has been a total game-changer. The heavy-duty stainless steel blades are super sharp and cut through cold butter like a dream—no more mushy mess or struggling with two knives.
The medium size is just right—fits comfortably in my hand, and the grip is soft but firm, making it easy to use without hand fatigue (even during longer baking sessions). It’s solidly built and feels like it will last for years.
Whether I’m making biscuits, pie crusts, or scones, this pastry cutter gives me light, flaky results every time. Plus, cleanup is quick—just a quick rinse or toss it in the dishwasher.
If you’re into baking (or even just starting out), this tool is a must-have. Professional quality at a great price. Love it!

This is SO much nicer than my old pastry cutter! Much larger, very sturdy, well made.

I purchased this Spring Chef dough blender to replace an old hoop one for one specific purpose: making biscuits from scratch. Trying to blend partially frozen cubes of butter with flour using my old hoop dough blender was an experience in frustration as the metal loops would separate. Not so with this Spring Chef blender. The thing is built like a tank with a very solid feel to it. The blades of the blender are not sharp, but they are designed such that they easily cut into frozen butter and blend well without bending a bit. The handle has a cushioned feel to it, which is also a big improvement over my old tool that had a wooden handle.
My only complaint is the handle on this blender is a little small for my adult male hand. It would have been perfect if the handle was about a half inch longer. Even still, it is a marked improvement over my old dough blender, and I highly recommend it. Spring Chef does sell a larger model, which I did not know when I purchased this medium size one, so if you have large hands you may want to look at their larger model which is available on the Spring Chef web site if Amazon doesn’t have it.
Now a word about customer service. After I purchased my dough blender I got an email from one of the co-founders at Spring Chef asking how I liked it. I wrote back pretty much what I said in my initial review above. I did not ask for anything and simply offered my opinion about the product. He immediately sent me an email back stating he would send me the larger blender, which he did. He wanted to make sure I was 100% satisfied with my purchase. Now you just cannot beat that level of customer service, and that is precisely why I ended up buying a new Spring Chef box grater shortly afterward and will check Spring Chef before I buy any other items for cooking.
So here is the comparison of the two dough blenders. Dimensionally, the medium dough blender measures approximately 4-1/2 inches from the back of the handle to the furthest tip of the blade; the large dough blender measures 5-1/4 inches in the same dimension. The length of the handle on the medium blender measures approximately 3-1/8 inches in length across the outside (3 inches in length inside the handle); the larger blender handle measures 4-3/4 inches across the outside (4-3/8 inches inside the handle). So the larger blender not only has a larger handle, which makes for a far more comfortable grip in my situation, but it also is larger in blade size, too. I have posted pictures to compare the two side by side (that’s not rust on the blades, it is reflection of our pot rack from above).
In summary, both the medium and large Spring Chef dough blenders are built very solidly and work extremely well. If you have smaller hands, or need to blend dough in a small bowl, the medium sized blender may work well for you. But I suspect most people will find the large dough blender to be more comfortable to use, especially if you have large hands. Regardless of which one you buy, you can rest assured Spring Chef stands behind the quality of their products and wants you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase.

Excellent quality! This is a sturdy and reliable baking/cooking utensil. I’ve used it for incorporating cold butter into flour, streusels, pie crusts, biscuits, and also for fine chopping hard-boiled eggs. Highly recommended.

I wanted to make some cheese sticks and needed something to mix the butter and flour to make crumbs. Last time we moved my dough blender got lost so I needed a new one. This one was a great price, is very sturdy, will fit into the mixing bowl, and even came in my favorite color. My old one was chrome and the finish had started to chip off. This one it stainless steel and will not rust. It is easy to clean, and works great.

Made well. It works great for mixing butter and flour when making cookies. Good price.

The one my wife had been using kept bending the cutters and broke one off while blending lard and flour together. So I ordered this one since the picture of it looked stronger and more durable. It definitely performed extremely well. It’s very well made and definitely will last for generations.

Really impressed with this one — the handle feels sturdy and comfortable, and the blades cut through cold butter super easily. It makes dough come together faster without melting the butter in your hands. Easy to clean, no bending, and feels nice and solid. Perfect for pies, biscuits, and crumbles

I got this to make the topping for an apple crisp. I don’t know any other way to cut butter and flour and sugar together than to use a pastry cutter, and it worked very well. It’s sturdy enough to cut through cold butter (because I never remember to get it out to soften ahead of time). It worked very well and fits inside my mixing bowls for storage.

I was hesitant to purchase this pastry cutter. I have used pampered Chef pastry cutter for over 15 years. Mine is finally giving out, and I am on my second Pampered Chef cutter. I bought this because the price was right and I was incredibly surprised when i saw the quality. The cutter is double the thickness of Pampered Chef. It is well made and can be cleaned without bending the metal. It is a little smaller, but works well.
