Great rub

First ingredient: sea salt. Lots of it. Too much for my taste. I cut the rub 60/40 with a combo of garlic, onion , and tomato powders and a tad of sugar. Had good comments with that mix, so it’s good as a rub component just not as the sole rub.

Superb flavor, great for seasoning casseroles and barbecue.

Found out about this from Smokin’ Joe’s Pit Bbq. Amazing stuff. It tastes like the “crust” of dry rub bbq. I’ve put this in my chili, burgers and on chicken.

This rub is fantastic. HOWEVER, I bought the SPG and it never arrived.

Best flavorÂ

Love this rub for steak sandwiches and ribs. It’s a little spicy for some but I’m a big fan.
Carrie Burks –
This is the best rub – a bit of heat from the black pepper which is wonderful (just be aware) we have used this on not only beef but chicken and pork as well – If you like a little heat and a perfect blend of seasoning you will love this !!!

I bought this because I saw it in an advertisement for a brisket prep station and was intrigued by the nod to Texas Independence. I didn’t realize when I bought it how big the container was going to be and was a little worried that it would be just taking up space in my pantry. I used it on some chicken breast that I grilled for the family and thought that my son and I would both enjoy it, but wasn’t as sure about the rest of the family. It has a strong pepper flavor to it and I thought that might be too much for the rest of the family. However, it was a hit with the whole family. Everyone loved the balanced of pepper and spices without it being overpowering. I have used it on almost everything I have grilled this last month and I am almost halfway through the container. We are all fans here! It makes prep of pork, chicken, and beef so easy and flavorful.
