I have had this product about 3 times in my life. The first two, I misplaced either the book or the cards and then I lost interest because I needed one or the other. I’ve decided that now I’m mature enough to keep track of my cards and the book. I remember being in love with this product at a young age.
Please buy this. The book is precise and perfect.

Thoroughly enjoyed the book by Janet Berres, The book came with cards in a kit. I feel like I will re-read it and it was a great start for learning. I haven’t felt like I have much attention for books lately, yet this book made me smile and got right to the point. Best of all I learned how to go about and just do it. I have delved into Tarot before yet not feeling confident about it. Now after reading Janet’s book, I do feel secure in my Tarot abilities. She is a down to earth writer with a sense of Humor who tells it like it is. Much appreciated.

A good deck for begginers· the art might not be that fancy, but it’s fine for a first deck. The book was really helpful and simple, great for a total newbie like me.

I purchased this kit several years ago and finally decided to open it up and give it a try. It comes with a deck of full sized Universal Tarot cards published by Lo Scarabeo, illustrated by R. De Angelis, designed by A. E. Waite. This is a really nice set of cards to learn on. It is basically a re-drawn version of the traditional Rider Waite deck but with what I think are prettier drawings than the original. It’s an excellent deck for a beginner just getting started. It comes with a little gauze bag to hold your cards in.
The book is Your Guide to Tarot by Janet Berres. I would give the cards fives stars, however, I would only give the included book two stars. I like the authors information on numerology and the included story on the Fool’s Journey but otherwise I think her descriptions of the cards are more confusing than helpful. She gives her own interpretations of the cards more than the divinatory meanings and she also glazes over a lot of visual symbolism within the cards. I just couldn’t connect her meanings with what I was seeing. I picked up another kit “The Complete Tarot Kit” by Susan Levitt which includes a small deck of Rider Waite cards, a deck of Thoth cards, a tarot Journal, and a beginners book that delves a lot deeper into the meanings of the cards and seems to make a lot more sense to me. Susan Levitt seems to really know the cards and their true symbolism while it feels like Janet Berres is just giving us her own interpretations with a little bit of true divinatory meaning sprinkled in here and there.
The cards in this set are great but the book just wasn’t clicking for me. I had to go elsewhere to find a better source. I DO recommend these cards but I DON’T recommend this kit.

I have been very curious about Tarot Card reading for sometime. I did not fully understand it. I knew that the only way I could become more knowledgable about the art is by diving into it and purchasing tarot cards. “Which one should I purchase?” was the main question. I am a beginner and needed something easy to comprehend something like a beginners course. Purchasing this product is an excellent investment. I understand the art of Tarot much more. If you are a beginner this is the Tarot card for you.

I love this deck I’m a beginner at tarot cards and this kit is the best I looked at other decks and was to happy with them until I came across these I had another kit and someone stole my deck wish there was these same cards without the book for people who love these cards need to replace the deck for old tore lost or stolen cards no need to buy the book over and over again this kit is good for first time buyers. Couldn’t ask for a better deck.

I am new to Tarot, so my review does come with that caveat. The cards with this kit are of good quality, have good pictures that are clear and colorful. I have enjoyed using them quite often but right now only for my own questions – I do not do readings for others. The book is good but the descriptions and meanings of each card is rather short (I say this based on other Tarot books I have seen), but does give a decent overview of a card meaning. The book does not give meanings for if a card is dealt reversed, and the author does mention in the beginning that she will not cover that – so if you need a book that gives reversed meanings, this one does not. For a first time book and set of cards, it is quite good and I recommend it.
