Just received this gong this afternoon. Just got it up on the gong stand and I just cannot say how bad ass this gong is. As a drummer and percussionist for over 40 years who has used the ultra expensive Zildjian, Wuhan and other various brands in this size or larger ……..the price I paid for this and the sound quality……… I can’t say there’s another better deal out there. This thing is just absolutely fantastic and the overtones are off the chart. It looks great as well!!! The mallet that comes with it does the job, but always recommend legato and staccato style mallets depending on your effect that you want.

Wonderful gong, looks beautiful and has a great sound for this size range. One concern for future purchasers: it arrived in a padded envelope. An instrument like this can be rendered useless by even a tiny crack — these should be shipped in boxes, or rigid mailers like a frame or wall art.

The sound is great the reason I deducted 2 stars in false advertising. In the pictures it shows a stand and no where in the description does it say stand not included. So now I’m stuck trying to to figure out out where to find a stand this small!!
