Not long ago, getting your cards read would have conjured images of a mystic shrouded in scarves with a crystal ball, waving her hands over a spread of cards. Today, a tarot reading is as common as going to yoga or texting a friend. It’s the new way to seek guidance—whether that’s relationship advice or what outfit to wear today.
With the help of this beautifully illustrated guide, you’ll be able to harness this skill to read your own future in tarot cards. Filled with custom card images and easy-to-understand descriptions of each card and many different reading layouts, The Only Tarot Book You’ll Ever Need will help you to master the tarot, whether your aim is to perform traditional readings, consult the cards as part of a daily self-care ritual, use them for interactive self-reflection, or rely on them as a tool for thinking through particular challenges or questions.

Good book for when learning to read tarot

The book is well designed and the title fits the book perfectly. The history of Tarot was very interesting. The card illustrations encouraged me to want to know more. The Tarot tips are a great addition for the beginner. I was surprised that each card could be interpreted in so many different ways. The chapter on how to spread the cards emphasized how important that first step is in the process. It is an educational and fun read!

This book is very informative and great for a beginner (like me). The book explains in detail what the numbers and symbolism on the cards mean and gives advice for interpreting the cards to mean more to the individual who is having their cards read. This is a book that I will refer back to and I have no regrets for purchasing it.

Very informative book with helpful information and tips and history. Also very approachable read!

The book is easy to use and gives detailed information on each card, though it seems to go out of its way to soften harsher card meanings like ten of swords, which unfortunately was what my previous guidebook did as well. There are also better resources online for interpreting full readings than what it gives, as its advice there is a bit barebones

I like the fact that it has clear descriptions, without it being very strict, it encoirages you to find you own meaning in the cards and to not blindly follow the book. It’s a guide, but not a rule book
Nikkys –

And no, it doesn’t have the condensed, capsule content you seek. Its written randomly and doesn’t have the quality of content it promises.
Sue Ann Shedrick –
Haven’t read it yet, just flicked through but looks very interesting

I bought this book after reading my mother’s copy. It’s very interesting and has a lot of information about the different meanings of different tarot cards and descriptions of said cards as well as the history of tarot. I like that this book gives you advice on what the different cards could mean and leaving it open to the reader’s own judgement to figure out what the tarot card’s meaning is, but not leaving it too open ended to where it’s confusing. The pictures in this book are also really beautiful and communicate the different interpretations that different tarot card illustrations & the meaning behind them. The book also explains different tarot spreads you can use and what certain numbers stand for. Definately happy with my purchase and I recommend this book!
