I really love this tea, a little bit of caffeïne, great subtil taste of butter and milk

I’m a BIG tea connoisseur, currently with over three dozen teas on my shelf. I tried a milk oolong in San Francisco last summer that knocked my socks off and was attempting to find a local option. After consistently striking out, I turned to Amazon and found what I’d hoped would be my dream tea. This turned out to be a nightmare! Tiesta Tea’s milk oolong is the most disgusting tea I’ve ever ingested. I was barely able to swallow it. It smelled like dusty house paint to start and only got worse during brewing. I brought it to the perfect temp for oolong and removed it promptly. It does have milky notes, but beyond that, it was a very bitter oolong with the heavy presence of industrial chemical factory. Couldn’t return it. Don’t waste $15 on this. Nothing but regrets.

It is my first experience with loose tea. I like the taste ok but it does take a long time to steep and it’s not as tasty as the other brand of double milk tea from another province that I was previously buying from another but sadly the other seller said that they no longer source oolong double milk tea from that farm on the other province, so now I have to find a substitute for the double milk oolong tea that I really really love.

Exactly as milky as I prefer. I make this in a 2cup percolator. It can be re-brewed two more times. I am picky about my teas. Next fall, I may buy it in bulk.

Art of Tea is much better than this. I was wondering why it was so cheap compared to others. However, it’s pretty good chilled in the fridge. Smelled kinda fishy, or like ocean. Easy to use but the leaves are bigger than others I’ve purchased. Quality is fine. I’m just not really into the flavor profile and definitely didn’t intend to buy a “skinny tea.”

I generally like Tiesta Teas but had not had the Oolong tea before now. It not only is very tasty, but the tea leaves are perfectly processed. They are not dust like you find for some teas. They unfurl as the tea brews, and I find that I can easily use the tea leaves to brew two separate flavorful cups of tea before tossing them.

Product images are deceptive, showing a label with tea as the only ingredient. Container that arrived lists added flavor on the ingredients. The actual tea is very mediocre and added flavour is excessive.

I’m not a tea expert or snob take my opinion with a grain of salt!
Package is really nice, great little tin. The tea itself is very fragrant, it smells and tastes lovely (oolong). It is more expense than at my local shop for similar quality but even still the price is fair.

I bought this tea thinking it was unflavoured. My mistake. It is very distinctly flavoured. Not the taste I was going for. If that’s what you want, it’s probably great.

I think the description should be more specific.

    Update Feb2025:
This tea really grew on me and now I’m about to order more! Go ahead, give it a try… 😉

Few whole leaves, lots of tiny bits which come through my strainer, very little of the ‘milky’ flavour expected from a Milk Oolong.

I enjoy drinking tea. This didn’t seem to have a strong enough coconut flavor for me. It’s still a nice tasting tea but subtle coconut flavor. I will try to find other teas.

I ran out of my favorite milk oolong and I felt lazy so I thought I’d give amazon a try.

This has a very unpleasant taste for me compared to the one I get from my local store.

With such high of a rating I had high hopes but I found the coconut oolong to be very overpowering, with no coconut flavor. Even when opening the bag, the smell was super strong but I figured I’d brew a cup and see. Followed the instructions, this isn’t fixable by using more or less water, it’s just not a great taste.

Fruity, average oolong is being generous. It smells like fruity pebbles when opened, does not have buttery flavor or mouth feel. Not milky or creamy. Pretty disappointed. Its a okay oolong and its priced OK for that, so no quarrel there- its just really not a milky oolong.
