I had to actually write the company and tell them how much I love this lip stain. It’s going to stay in my makeup kit for as long as they make it. If you have cool undertones/true winter color analysis Rubion 08 is your girl. I had fun building up the color 3-4 times and letting it sit for a while all glossy until I blotted it and was even more amazed at the stain it left. Like if you had a few glasses of red wine after a romantic evening. It feels like there’s nothing but a balm on my lips even an hour later. I’m definitely going to be getting more cool toned colors from this line!

This lip gloss is everything I ever wished for on a “lip-stick”. It not only feels like a soothing hydrating lightweight balm, it has some shine to it, so it doesn’t look fully opaque making your lips look hydrated, or you can rub it for just a tint and still feels like a moisturizer. After waiting for about a minute or less, it doesn’t transfer, for reals. I even tried to rub some off my lips to put it on my cheeks (forgetting about the non-transfer feature) and I couldn’t get any color on them. Truly happy with this product. I have olive skin and both the Quanta and Enigma look good really good on me.

I really wanted to love this gloss lip stain since it’s all over the internet and everyone raves about the staying power. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t my experience. The color is pretty and it feels nice going on, but it wore off incredibly fast — less than an hour for me, even without eating or drinking much. As a “lip stain,” I expected it to actually stain, but it faded almost completely and needed constant reapplication. It might work better for others, but if you’re looking for long-lasting wear, this didn’t deliver for me. It was not sticky, did leave a line around your lips like a liner but the whole inside faded. Goes on smoothly like a gloss.

Good formula: not sticky, like oily balm. However, the color was NOT accurate from the color chart. I got the shade 09 ENIGMA: it’s more like ‘dark purple towards black with a little hint of red’ rather than burgundy/vampire red. It’s not the shade you can wear on a daily basis, unless you’re into the goth style, I’d say. It also doesn’t last long, both swatching on the skin and my lips.
Overall: no stickiness, no longevity, no color accuracy

So I saw many influencers review this product and wanted to try. They all say it last super long time and doesn’t dry your lip.
Here are my thoughts after trying.
– It’s not super glossy as I’ve seen from reviews. Which I like because I’m not a fan of lipglosses. It looks like you’re applying a shinny balm on top of lipstick.
– It KINDA last for a long time. So if you’re looking for a “makeup look” it last for about 4 hours top. After that the effect will fade really fast and give you more “natural high pigment” lip color. Basicly after 4 hours, you can’t tell I have anything on my lips but my lips are more pretty red shade than usual. I also have uneven lip colors so it’s easier for me to tell as I can see my lips color is pretty even. This “natural lip” part does last a whole day without reapplying and been eating and licking my lips.
– It does dry my lips a bit but I do have sensitive lips, for a long lasting product this is expected and considered mild dry only.
– I have tried applying after lip balm and without lip balm, I do see any different.
– The color set pretty fast, within a few seconds, but I do recommend waiting a few minutes for it to fully set for a better effect, color will last longer for both natural look and makeup look this way.
– So far eating and applying lip balm have not decreased the lasting effect but somehow licking my lips does.
– The applicator’s tip is a bit different shape than other brands. I don’t know how but it does make applying this product very easy. I can do a quick apply and still get a perfect shape and color without a missed.
– Reapplying never an issue. No matter how many times you reapply or layer, you’ll get the same color effect. So you don’t really need to use a lot of product.

I’ve bought two of these, Enigma and Eros.
So first, Eros is a great shade if you have pale olive skin that is more neutral and doesn’t lean yellow, so if you’re looking for a good bright red and you have pale neutral olive skin and it has been a struggle – this is a good one! I liked it well enough that I ordered Enigma.
Enigma is kind of a berry that leans brown but not “muddy brown” and has a decent purple tone to it without being so cool that I look sallow or washed out. I think it’s a good “darker berry goth/alt lip” sort of shade. It’s not going to be as dark as, say, KVD Vampira, but it’s kind of in the same “family” if that makes sense? If dark brownish berries that lean ‘neutral’ look good on you, you’ll like this one.
Formula: Pretty good. It’s thinner and easy to apply, but it’s not “runny” like some other non-peel-off lip stains can be. The formula is moisturizing and doesn’t dry my lips out, but it still lasts longer than a standard gloss. I’d say it would be somewhere between, say, a lip gloss and something like a true liquid lipstick, but it feels more like a thick lip oil. And I’d say in terms of how difficult it is to apply, liquid lipstick is about the same ‘difficulty level’.
Eros seems a bit more pigmented than Enigma at first glance, but I think it’s just that it’s lighter and Enigma needs an extra coat to look decently solid due to the shade being darker. They both look great without a lip liner on my middle-aged lips, whereas a standard cream bullet lipstick definitely needs a lip liner to look good, and a standard liquid lipstick is usually drying and gets flakey. The doe foot’s a nice shape that’s easy to use.
In terms of longevity, again, somewhere between a standard gloss and a liquid lipstick BUT the fade out is more gradual and looks better than a standard liquid lipstick as it wears off. So instead of getting the whole ‘ring around the mouth’ effect as it wears off, it just sort of gracefully fades over the course of a few hours, and freshening it up is pretty easy. Overall, I’m happy with it and feel that it works well and is a good value for the money.

First what I don’t like is picking my color online, I prefer browns or nudes. The shade I picked I thought looked closest to brown but it’s more of a brick color has a red undertone which I don’t like on me. It does NOT look like the pictures shown. The formula I love it’s silky soft, nice shine. After dinner the shine was gone but I still had a stain on my lip. Wish it had more of a gloss. Going to keep and try another color

I thought it was supposed to feel “dry” but am pleasantly surprised at how moisturized my lips feel. Tested it’s kiss-proof abilities on a piece of tissue. Hardly any transfer, and I got one of the darkest shades! I wouldn’t recommend making out with it on, but its such a gorgeous product. The packaging is also very impressive.

Pros: This lip stain works really well!! I’ve never had luck with lip stains. They normally make my lips look dry and cracked and this one doesn’t. It keeps its gloss look without the sticky feeling. Even on windy days my hair does not get stuck to my lips.
