This is not a miracle, cured all blanket, just a sleep aid. What I received is ORDORLESS, I’ve read other buyer’s reviews and was concerned about the smell, thank goodness I did not have that problem. I loved this blanket, it was the right size for me (12lb). This blanket is sandwiched between my cooling blanket and the top sheet, so I was able to stay comfortable and not over heated. I did start out with 20 lb, which was way too heavy for my weight. It took me about 1 week to get used to sleeping with it & It does raised your body temp regardless of the title says “cooling blanket”, it’s not a cooling blanket.
I’m a hot sleeper, so I only turned on the house heat when my house temp dropped below 55 degrees in the winter months, perfect temp for me, this blanket was perfect in keeping me warm. I’ve tried sleeping without it, I did not sleep well that night. As the outdoor temp got warmer, above 60 degrees indoor, I changed to a lighter weighted blanket “7lb, 5lb, now 3lb”. On the 3lbs, its actually 6 lbs total length. I’ve turned 2 3 lb 36×48 into 36×96, it’s perfect, especially when the blanket slid down, I still have length coverage. This review is based on a single sleeper and it does not bothered my 2 fur babies. Highly recommended!

I have had several weighted blankets, this one is by far the best of them. The fabric is soft, beautiful silvery grey & high quality. I love that the blanket is very well made, is the perfect weight for me at 12 lbs, a less available weight in the size. It is not a thick blanket so I am able to use this year round, in warm weather it’s perfect alone, it’s breathable allowing me to sleep in a hug anytime. For cold weather you will likely want to add additional layers. I use mine with a electric blanket right now and its important that they use safe materials that don’t release any toxins when it’s under the electric blanket.

I was visiting my sister overnight and she suggested I try her weighted blanket. It was so comfortable, cozy and warm and yes, like a sweet hug, I bought one for myself.
Immediately I bought a duvet cover as it would be very difficult to keep the blanket clean.
I have slept calmer and more peaceful since using this blanket. I am a widow so I didn’t have to explain to my husband why I don’t snuggle at night any more.

My previous weighted blanket had an awful smell. This one is clearly a much better blanket and I was able to use it the same day I unpacked it. (I still aired it out in the sunshine for a couple of hours but there was no need to do so, I just wanted to.)
The little glass beads are small and so comfortable, much better than the blanket I had with larger weighted whatever-they-were.
This blanket fits perfectly with the covers I had for my last blanket. I highly recommend using covers because then you don’t have to wash the weighted blanket hardly ever. (See link.) I secure the ties with little toddler hair bands, it’s kind of a fun and meditative activity whenever I wash the covers. (See image.)
I bought a slightly lighter blanket (12 pounds) because I also use a heavy warm regular comforter in the winter and in the summer it is sooo hot where I live. I hope I will be able to continue to use the 12 pound blanket on its own as opposed to a generic lightweight blanket. Otherwise, I would have bought the 15 pound blanket…

I love that it’s quilted so the beads stay spread evenly.
It’s breathable and even with a duvet on it I don’t get overheated or sweaty at night.

I love love this blanket. It’s great for those cold nights & if you have trouble sleeping like me. FYI this may not be suitable for older adults because it’s pretty heavy. Also it’s hard for menopause women because it will cause you to sweat. But it’s still a great blanket I will be getting a second one!!
