This is my second insert from this company (different sizes) and I’m very impressed with them. I was hesitent on a duvet in general because I know it can be tedious to change and clean them, but these are really easy to use and hold up really well. They’re really easy to clean as well.
It’s the perfect weight where it’s light enough for use in the summer but still warm enough for the colder months. They’re really soft and give the feeling of being in a hotel. I did go up to a kind size for my queen bed so that it hangs over the sides a little more and it fits perfectly.

For the past couple years my girlfriend and I have gone through a few cheap comforters. We never really gave much thought to them and subsequently they never impressed us. I grew up using a down comforter and have very fond memories of that blanket. The comfort and warmth was something that I hadn’t experienced since I had moved out and gotten my own comforter. So this has been in the back of my mind ever since but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to dish out that kind of money for a blanket and also deal with the hassle of dry cleaning it. Also by purchasing a down blanket we’d be supporting an industry in which the down feathers from geese are taken from them and that’s not something we personally wanted to support. So for all those reason we started looking into down alternative. The first thing that made me question these products was the price, they seem TOO cheap. I was raised with the mantra, “you get what you pay for” and with that in mind I was quite weary when looking at these products. I always make sure to compare many different products and read through the reviews, both good and bad before I buy something. I decided to take a chance on this particular one as it seemed to be the highest rated by customers and I liked what I saw in the images provided by said customer. If anything, the price was low enough that I wasn’t too worried if I didn’t end up liking it.
Now I wasn’t actually home when it arrived but my girlfriend confirmed that it was very flat right out of the package, as was expected. By the time I got home 2-3 hours later it appeared to be fully fluffed. The material it is made of is very soft and comfortable on your skin and I was pleasantly surprised with the thickness/fluffyness. It is a fairly light blanket, similar to a down blanket I suppose in that regard. So far I have only slept with it one night but it did a great job of keeping me warm. I live in Wisconsin and the temperatures this week have been ranging from -10 over night to single digits during the day. I had been using 2 blankets prior to getting this one and sometimes I would still wake up in the night feeling cold. But so far with this blanket alone I have stayed warm which again was a pleasant surprise.
I do have to say that this doesn’t remind me a whole lot of my down blanket and I think that may have to do with the material used in the shell. And you’re not going to be 100% able to recreate a down blanket not using down. So if you are looking for something that feels exactly like down and won’t be satisfied otherwise, this might not be for you. However, if you are looking for a good quality, warm, fluffy and affordable priced blanket that will give you that “cloud” like feeling, I think you would be really happy with this blanket.
Again this is my opinion from using it for one night, I can not comment on the durability or longevity of this blanket, but I am hoping that it holds up over time.

I bought this because of the great reviews here and on NYTs Wirecutter. My expectations were “managed” given the price. But it has really exceeded all of my expectations.
First off, I took it to the laundromat to wash it before using it bc of the things they treat fabrics with when shipping long distances. I bought the California king size and assumed I’d practically kill myself getting it just from the washer to the dryer because of how much I expect it to weigh wet just out of the washer. IT WAS SO LIGHT!! I decided to put it in the laundry basket and just take it home and put it in my own dryer. No problem at all getting it, wet, across a parking lot in a laundry basket to my car.
Then, based on how lightweight it was, did not expect it to be very warm. It is definitely warmer than I expected. I have only washed it once but it held its shape and the spacing of its stuffing perfectly.
What was most surprising though, was how FLUFFY this thing is! Our border collies sleep on our bed and when I flip this off to get out of bed or just bc I am warm, it forms a mountain! It actually gets kinda crowded between us, the dogs, and the space this takes when I push it aside.
Since I just bought it, I can’t speak to how it will last. But very pleased so far.

I ordered a King. After measuring the duvet insert, it measured several inches short on each side. The tag doesn’t say the size or dimensions, but I think I might have been sent a queen. It’s thin, but also expected. It’ll be good for a summer duvet, but again, time crunch. It went through the initial wash without falling apart, so I’m sure it’ll hold up for awhile. If your preference is for a thick and slightly more weighted insert, you may find this item slightly too lightweight, particularly in the winter. However, the lightweight nature of this insert makes it very comfortable and easy to put into the cover. The corner tabs are also very easy to secure to whatever cover you choose to pair this insert with.

It comes vacuum packed in a small box. It is very soft and the material is smooth. It is not very warm and not at all weighted. It is lightweight and low to mid warm. It is not what i was looking for but maybe it is the right fit for someone else.

**Please read all updates at the bottom of this review and a tip if you are looking for that extra thick fluffy look**I am very selective when it comes to bedding and I have spent thousands of dollars on high end to low end bedding over the last few years. Since I bought my new king size dream bed! I run both hot and cold throughout my sleeping hours so I can be very hard to please. I have to love the feel of the fabric on my skin and especially my bare feet!
I like a blanket to be really thick and fluffy but still light like a cloud! It can’t make loud crunching sounds like a lot of feather blankets/pillows do or it will drive me mad, and it has to be moveable so I can cocoon into it but also still move around in my sleep from side to side or to bunch it up between my legs like a body pillow.
This blanket is a sleepers dream! It also has the tabs at each corner so you can use the ties to secure it to your favourite duvet cover. No chemical odour right out of the packaging. This blanket is soft to the touch just as it is, silky on the skin and light as a cloud but oh so incredibly warm!
I am very impressed and that says a lot because I really am picky! LOL Needless to say, not only is this a truly great blanket as it is with no cover but wonderful as a duvet insert too and it is so affordable! I highly recommend you buy it now before the prices get jacked up from all the amazing reviews! Though it is often on sale, I have bought the king size as low as $39 Canadian funds
I plan to buy a few as spares and gifts! I have only had this item for about a week so I cannot speak on it’s durability yet or how well it holds up in the washer/dryer but even if it only lasts a year, it is cheap enough that it is replaceable!
The only two things that I would like to see as improvements is that I would like it to be about 2 inches thicker and to see more sizes available, such as ‘California king’ for extra length and ‘over sizes’ in width so that the blanket hangs over 6 inches on the sides and foot of the bed of a queen or king to reach over to meet the box spring or frame of the bed. * Nice to see they have updated the sizes available
UPDATE JUNE 27th, 2023 I have 5 of these blankets and they are still just as amazing as they were when I bought them. I always have a duvet cover on them so when I wash them once a month in cold water and a low heat dryer or just drape over my drying rack in the sunshine.
Please note, my washing machine is pretty small for a King or California King size blanket so I typically have to wash them 3 or 4 times just to get them fully saturated and clean so they have really been put through the test since buying them in 2020. They clean well and fluff up just like brand new every time! They are so inexpensive that they are easy to replace but I have had NO issues with tears, ripping, pilling or the seams coming undone and I still highly recommend them 3 years later!
**I am at the perimenopause stage of life so I get both freezing cold and hot sweating to death flashes, these blankets keep me toasty when I am freezing like a popsicle and I just kick them off and use a cotton sheet when I am sweating to death! LOL
UPDATE! March 15, 2025 I have purchased approx. 8 to 10 of these duvet inserts and all of them are durable, and just as perfect as when brand new! In fact I cant tell which ones are new and which are old. None have any stains, pilling or any look of wear on them. I highly recommend them as they are so affordable
***A tip I have for the extra thick fluffy look is to but a king size duvet insert into a queen size duvet cover or two duvet inserts into your duvet cover of any size. When using two inserts I sew on Velcro strips on all four sides to keep the two duvets attached to each other and then tie the corners into the loops of the duvet cover as normally. Just keep in mind with two duvet inserts this will be super thick, fluffy and light but it will also be very warm as these inserts get hot with your body heat! So if you tend to sleep hot this may not be good for you but if it is winter and you are always cold this will give you that super thick fluffy, light as a cloud look but super warm or hot feel!

Fluffy, keeps you warm and comfortable. Quite heavy that it feels like a weighted blanket.
Acts as a mattress topper too if you nap on top of the comforter. Good buy.

This comforter is surprisingly excellent at its very reasonable price point. This winter has been the real deal in upstate New York (as elsewhere), and in the midst of a move, this has provided an attractive, very warm and comfortable haven. Having a high bed, I did get a king for my queen bed, because I like it to drape over the sides to keep out any drafts. Warm, attractive and toasty.
