I love chai tea and have really enjoyed this variety box. The design of the tea bags makes them steep out nicely to make a good, strong cup of tea, to which I usually put a splash of milk in, but the flavor is also good without adding anything. I bought this variety box so I could try several different chai flavors, so I think the value is good if that’s your goal. It’s also nice to have a couple herbal options for evenings when you want a warming cup of tea without consuming caffeine.

Vadham tea is high quality and you can taste the difference. Always fresh, never stale. The packaging is really great, they come in really nice, foil lined bags that are larger than normal tea bags, which keep the tea fresh… unlike a basic paper tea bag. Their spicy aromatic Chai is a staple in my house, I have not found better… and I drink a lot of various teas (esp a good spicy Chai)!
Every tea of theirs I have tried has been good, but I am pleased to see this calendar has some of my faves. The golden turmeric, the sweet cinnamon, the Earl Grey… there are more, but they are all good quality delicious tea.
I am so excited for my niece to open this and enjoy 24 nights of Vadham deliciousness!
While I don’t have the actual calendar, as i sent it as a gift, i am posting a pic of their loose Chai so you can see the quality and also one of their tea bags (packaged) as compared to other brands. The stash (another favorite brand) is a standard size. The Taylors is slightly larger than “normal.” Vadham is wider than both, but lay flat and are easily stored.
Did I mention that I love this brand? Try their Chai!!!

I like the fact that this Vadham’s ‘Exotic’ CTC (Assam) tea is organic and unblended with cheaper teas and like all Vadham’s teas has been produced quite recently (you get the picking/ packing date on the packet) in India and not stored for years like some commercial brands. This is real tea! This one has been crushed (looks like small granular round balls) to help with easy infusion and has a lovely, refreshing taste. You can use it in the normal way but it’s true flavour comes out if you boil it for a minute or so and then let it infuse.
In India they boil it for a few minutes in milk and water to get its true flavour and body (not just steep it) to prepare Chai – and then you can add ginger/cinnamon/cardamom to this.
I support the Vadham ethos. They go directly to the best Indian tea producers and bring it to us in the UK quickly, cutting out months of storage and the middle-men, so that we have an authentic drinking experience from this wonderful plant we all love.

Great packaging, 20 kinds of teas, two of each for you can share, the ones we have opened smell amazing and 1% to educating India’s farmer’s children. Tea bags are triangular and good quality. Unique flavors and tastes. If someone likes tea, they probably have not had every variety in this box.

I already have an online primary tea company I usually order from monthly. Sippers can create custom blends of their own using up to three of the less costly teas which the company offers plus up to three selected accents. That got me into tea blending myself because I prefer to not be limited to lesser quality teas which is what their less costly teas generally are. I use the software they provide to note my creations then blend at home so I can use any teas I wish. So, I already have a sizable number of blends I enjoy. But ads have had me wanting to try Vahdam’s offerings too since almost every tea purveyor has some outstanding teas worth sipping and/or using in blends. Since receiving my order late yesterday, I’ve already trialled 5 teas. I’m likely to purchase two of them. I’m particularly loving finding some tasty green and herbal blends since my #1 provider has fewer “keepers” in those categories to suit my preferences. So far, I’ve particularly enjoyed Cardamom Spiced (black tea chai) and Ginger Mint (green with herbal elements) but this product contains 24 unique samples so I hope to find a bunch more goodies over the next days. It’s so much nicer to get to sample multiple teas than to blindly purchase a sizable quantity of a few untested ones which may or may not suit an individual’s tastes. I will say that I’m not following their tea-water ratios which would be too strong for my liking. Generally, 2g tea calls for 8 oz. water per my preferences.

I buy my mom a tea advent calendar every year, but this one has been by far the best. She couldn’t wait to start it and ended up opening it early because the presentation and variety were so inviting. In my case, the Mint Passionfruit was my favorite; yet I can find it nowhere to purchase on its own. Consequently, I will be buying another brand.
